Audiobook narrated by Sebastian York!! Gerald Wright works for billionaires. He never imagined he’d become one.The former Navy Seal is a chauffeur by day, artist by night, so when hotter-than-ever ex-fiancée Suzanne Dayton interrupts his nude model sculpting class to serve him with inheritance paperwork from a man he’s never heard of, he assumes it’s a joke.Turns out the joke’s on him. There’s … assumes it’s a joke.
Turns out the joke’s on him. There’s just one catch. A big one.
And it might be Suzanne — in more ways than he ever dreamed.
Shopping for an Heir continues the New York Times bestselling Shopping for a Billionaire series by Julia Kent. This book is a STANDALONE. You do not need to have read earlier books int he series, but once you read this, you’ll want to. ;)more
Julia Kent’s romantic comedy’s are top notch
Love this military romance. A super fun read…and free!!
I’ve only read a couple of Julia Kent’s books, but I’m finding that I’m a true fan of her work. Her wit shines through in the characters’ humorous dialogue. This particular story features two damaged souls, who have deeply buried secrets from the past to work through. It doesn’t sound funny, but parts of it are! Well done.
Shopping for an Heir (Shopping for a Billionaire, Book 10) was another great read by Julia Kent. Gerald is a chauffeur who is a former Navy Seal. He is also an artist who’s ex fiancé interrupts his sculpting class. She is delivering him inheritance paperwork that he assumes is a joke. I really enjoyed this great read about an heir who never though he could become a billionaire. I can’t wait to read more in this series.
5 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy novel Shopping for an Heir: Shopping for a Billionaire book 10: Gerald and Suzanne by Julia Kent and this review was given freely.
Honor, love, a crooked commanding officer, the struggle with PTSD, outrageous characters, and a bit of matchmaking are wrapped up in this steamy novel featuring former Navy Seal sniper, bodyguard, chauffeur and sculptor Gerald and his sudden ten year reunion with his ex-fiancee,former Navy Medic now Boston Estate Lawyer, Suzanne Dayton.
Contains some violence.
Original story. Well done.
What appeals to me is the ability of one person, making an impact on numerous lives. With all of the violence and hate in the world, the thought that there are good hearted people is tossed by the wayside. “One person can make a difference.” Shopping for an Heir blends heart with inspiration. Agnes and Corinne with their dirty mouths and hilarious antics added to the fun but Suzanne and Gerald turn the fun and hope into a reason to dream. Concept, message, writing and characters are this reader’s ideal.
This is part of a series that I HAD to keep buying the next book to find out whst hsppens next.
I will be re-reading the entire series soon.
This book had me laughing by the end of the first chapter, Great story line, great characters and anything that puts a smile on your face is good in my book.
This book can be read as a stand alone book, but of you enjoy the zany wit and complex characters, I would strongly recommend the entire Shopping series
good read
This book had a catchy premise but was only OK. I wouldn’t buy it again.
Just joy. When you need a break from this world, Light and fun but brings you hope.
This is the first book by Julia Kent that I’ve read. I read many reviews of other books she’s written and thought this would be a good one. I liked the blurb on Amazon, and this was part of a multi-author giveaway. No cost to read and I was happy to get it. Unfortunately, I didn’t know this was part of a series and that I was coming in at book number 10.
I enjoyed this book. I thought the women in the art class were a hoot. Second chance romance is a great trope and I enjoyed that as well. What I found odd was, the book just stopped. Cliffhanger? Maybe, but I thought perhaps I was missing the last pages or the last chapter. There was no satisfactory resolution of issues that were pertinent to the story. Nope…at 87% on my tablet, the next book was introduced and Chapter One was there.
Just because I didn’t like the abrupt ending, that’s not enough for me to completely trash the book. So…I give it 3 stars. The writing was OK and the story was interesting Maybe that’s why I feel disappointed. The story was good and I really want to know what happened. Also, the title is a bit misleading. Certainly Gerald was the heir, but I didn’t get the feeling that there was a search for him. Maybe Suzanne was the one searching…or not. Too many questions left unanswered and if the resolution is in the next book, that’s just weird.
Former seals as nude models in fellow soldier’s art class? of course.
I love everything by this author. This book and the others are great romantic comedy
Enjoyed reading it, looking forward to reading the rest in the series
Sweet with a little suspense and happy (I’m still reading>)
Very enjoyable. Easy reading, entertaining.
Great read for a casual, relaxing read
I think it was supposed to be funny but I didn’t care for it. Several characters, I am assuming from other books. Silly older ladies, a few bad dates, a little relic mystery and a rekindling of an old flame. And no shopping??
