Who needs a SWAT team to escape from their own wedding? Me. My Momzilla turned us into hostages at our own ceremony, so Declan and I are getting married the good old-fashioned way, just like everybody else.By calling in his private security team, stealing away before the ceremony by helicopter, connecting to his corporate jet and heading for Las Vegas. The Boston wedding of the year is about to … of the year is about to become a trashy Elvis drive-thru ceremony.
Until the best man spills the beans and Mom, Dad, my sisters, his brothers, my maid of honor, my friend Josh, and even my cat, Chuckles, all come along for the ride.
I can’t win, can I?
Oh. Yeah. I already did.
Love conquers all.
Even my crazy family.

Didn’t care for the plot or characters
I have followed this series from the start. It is always amusing but I am ready for the series t I end.
I love this series, but by now Shannon and Declan should’ve worked out their money issues. I was a little tired of Shannon getting upset with Declan’s gifts. Otherwise, the story would’ve gotten 5 stars. My mom (also named Marie) called the shots with our wedding also, and you never know what inappropriate thing will come out of her mouth, too. However, Julia Kent’s Marie is hilarious and just as hard to deal with, as my Marie.
A bit silly
A bit far fetched but enjoyable
Jibes with my own opinions of Vegas!
Once you meet the characters in this series, you’re hooked. I read them all in a week. I can’t wait until the next book comes out.
Like the whole series.
Funny
All of Julia Kent’s books are entertaining and laugh out loud funny. I’ve read each book several times and have the audiobook too.
I love this series. Again, Julia Kent at her best
Too raunchy for my taste.
The writing was very confusing. The reading had no easy progression. I deleted it after the first two chapters.
I’m sorry, this book was … I read it all waiting for any of it to make sense. It was just bizarre.
This kept being hilarious! Just when you think a joke had ended; there is another funny situation. I laughed so many times. It is a silly and zany and crazy situation and group of people … and … just have fun with it. Unreal comedy. A great break from reality.
If you don’t like steamy sex descriptions, skip them and move on to the next ridiculous hilarious happening.
I loved the characters and the story was funny and d lightbulb. However, it is not really a stand alone book. I spent the first third of the book trying to figure out all the characters.
Shopping for a Billionaire’s Wife (Shopping for a Billionaire, Book 8) was another great read by Julia Kent. Shannon never thought she would need a SWAT team to escape her own wedding. But due to her Mozilla, her and Declan feel like hostages. They decide to leave the ceremony and head to Las Vegas. But now the best man spilled the beans and everyone is trying to get to Vegas. This was another great and funny read by Julia Kent.
Fun book.
I listened to the Audiobook. Tanya Eby did a fantastic job! I don’t know what reading the book would have been like, but the audio was great.
This book was crazy, sweet, romantic, funny, and touching. I have to say that I never did like Marie, even after hearing her story. I felt for her, but didn’t like her at all.
I did like that Shannon was not comfortable with Declan’s wealth or lifestyle. That seemed a little more realistic to me. After spending your life saving, struggling, working, and doing without, I couldn’t imagine being so comfortable with a complete change like that. Not to say she wouldn’t come to appreciate it, but I think it would take some getting used to.
Declan and Shannon had such a great romance. They really liked one another. It was sweet the way Declan wanted to take care of her and protect her from her mom.
This book had so many laugh out loud moments. If I wasn’t laughing, I was standing around with a goofy grin on my face. I really didn’t expect to enjoy this book so much. I’m looking forward to Andrew and Amanda ‘s story.
I started the series and was so caught up in the storyline that I have purchased every related book as soon as it came out. A great rom-com that can become steamy in the telling of the story!
