Who needs a SWAT team to escape from their own wedding? Me. My Momzilla turned us into hostages at our own ceremony, so Declan and I are getting married the good old-fashioned way, just like everybody else.By calling in his private security team, stealing away before the ceremony by helicopter, connecting to his corporate jet and heading for Las Vegas. The Boston wedding of the year is about to … of the year is about to become a trashy Elvis drive-thru ceremony.
Until the best man spills the beans and Mom, Dad, my sisters, his brothers, my maid of honor, my friend Josh, and even my cat, Chuckles, all come along for the ride.
I can’t win, can I?
Oh. Yeah. I already did.
Love conquers all.
Even my crazy family.

Love Julia’s characters!
Book eight in the series that keeps getting better and better. Marie, errr, I mean Shannon, is about to have the wedding of her dreams. Oh, wait. I was right the first time. It’s totally Marie’s wedding. Declan and Shannon just happen to be the actors playing their role while James is bankrolling the whole fiasco. Declan had enough of it a long time ago, he’s now just along for the ride to keep Shannon happy. Shannon has finally come to the end of her rope with Momzilla, aka Marie. Vegas is looking mighty good right about now….
This one is off the charts crazy in so many ways, but that’s typical where Marie is in charge. Declan and Shannon have some soul searching moments in this one. There are plenty of laughs, even a few snorts. There are “awwww” moments, too. Declan and Shannon are most definitely the stars of this series.
This book is haha funny! Outstanding for a beach read!
Very good book. I found I wished I had read the others before it but simply because I would then understand the characters better.
It is readable as a standalone and is still a wonderful read.
good read
Love Julia Kent’s romantic comedies!!
Interesting characters.
Crazy but realistic characters. Crazy journey to the end.
I enjoyed the story. It was about 2people in loving who came from VERY different upbringings. You definitely canNOT predict what is going to happen on the next page. My only complaint is toward the end I began to think the situation would never be resolved.
Only read a few chapters- not funny & not my voice of reading material
The author shows no respect for the religious convictions of readers and I almost did not finish the book because of this.
It wad all sex no story
I thought it was really too silly. I didn’t finish the book
Couldn’t finish skipped pages very boring
Too convoluted with too much emphasis on trying to shock the reader with sex innuendos & information not directly related to the story
pure escapist romance.
A fun rom com with lots of delightful characters.
It was boring. It dragged on, too much introspection. Move faster next time.
I love Julia Kent books. They make you laugh out loud until your in tears. Very entertaining read.
not the kind of book I’d read. It’s in the 1st person (I think is how it’s meant) I’m sure some people enjoy reading this type of book, but it’s not for me.
