You know what’s even better than marrying a billionaire? Having his baby. We’re ready. We’ve studied and planned, read all the birth and labor books, researched parenting classes, consulted our schedules, and it’s time. And by we I mean me.Declan’s just ready for the “have lots of sex” part. More than ready. But there’s just one problem: my husband and his brother have this little obsession with … and his brother have this little obsession with competition.
And by little, I mean stupid.
That’s right.
We’re not just about to try to bring a new human being into the world.
We have to do it better, Faster, Stronger.
Harder.
McCormick men don’t just have babies.
They engage in competitive billionaire Babythons.
I thought the hardest part about getting pregnant would be dealing with my grandchild-crazed mother, who will go nuts shopping for a billionaire’s baby.
Wrong.
Between conception issues, my mother’s desire to talk to the baby through a hoo-haw cam, a childbirth class led by a drill sergeant and a father-in-law determined to sign the kid up for prep school before Declan even pulls out, my pregnancy has turned out to be one ordeal after the other.
But it’s nothing — nothing — compared to the actual birth.
Shopping for a Billionaire’s Baby is the newest book in Julia Kent’s New York Times bestselling romantic comedy series.

Number 13 is generally considered as being bad luck but that’s certainly not true here. This book is hilarious, so, so funny!! It brought tears of laughter to my eyes.
Declan and Shannon were at the top of their game here, keeping me in stitches with their antics. And don’t forget about their nearest and dearest who are just as diabolically nuts as they are.
I loved reading this and got my swoon fest on with Declan as he girded his loins in preparation to becoming a father. Shannon was at her zaniest best too. But, it was nice seeing a more mature side to them as well as the face the sometimes daunting prospect of parenthood.
What’s next for this comedic duo? Let’s hope we find out soon.
Ms. Kent has done it again. Declan and Shannon have decided to take the next step and are going to start a family. Between the sidesplitting funnies and the deeply poignant moments that show heartfelt emotion, this is one wonderful roller coaster ride. I had no idea what Unicoga was, but it was hysterical to find out, especially at Marie’s reaction. Most importantly, the love that Declan and Shannon have for each other shines through. Another fabulous read.
Breaking up may be hard to do, but in the case Declan and Shannon growing up seems to be even harder. When will the couple who is forever getting it wrong finally manage to get it right? The adorably clueless duo made a list, set a date and made a mess before they tied the knot tight. Now the real adventure begins. The wonderful road to parenthood. The timing couldn’t be more right, so why does everything seem to be going so wrong? Let the chaos continue. Shopping for a Billionaire’s Baby reiterates what makes life special. The people we love, the moments we share and the hiccups along the way. Through the imagination of a comedic genius and her hard to resist creations, we learn a valuable lesson. Life is not meant to be perfect, it’s meant to be lived. Loved It!
I laughter so many times in this book. Her descriptions of being pregnant and childbirth were so funny and spot on.
Comical, entertaining love story and cast of entertaining characters!
This book contains some of my most favorite characters ever. I have loved the journey of Declan and Shannon. In the romance world you usually pick up a book, fall in love with the couple and maybe hope you get glimpses of their life in other books in a series. In this series we have numerous book about the same couple. It is something unique and wonderful.
So many amazing moments in this book. So many moments, that as a woman who has been pregnant 4 times, can relate to although thank goodness I’ve never had to give birth in an elevator.
The audio book is incredible. Tanya Eby so accurately captures Shannon’s incredible personality and Zachary Webber is outstanding as always as Declan. It is a must have.
Cute story
I love this book. It was a fun book to read.
Enjoyed this book very much especially the ending but wishing it could have been a lot shorter.
This is a fun series that allows the reader to escape everyday life. Wonderful characters that are delight to hang out with in each book.
A great continuation of the first book. I enjoyed getting to know more about the characters as they live their lives together and plan for having a baby.
If you like lots of conversation about genitalia, over sexed characters and, just a host of strange people then this book is for you. Couldn’t wait to finish it. Don’t waste your time or money.
Heartwarming, whimsical, happily ever after!
Liked it so much I bought the whole series.
This may be book 13 in the Shopping for a Billionaire Series but that doesn’t mean it can’t be read as a stand-alone or as your first introduction to this brilliant series.
Are Declan and Shannon finally growing up and are they at last going to get everything right…. off course not this couple’s road to happiness has always had it ups and downs and why would starting a baby be any different, this book follows them from trying to conceive to birth and boy do they have some fun along the way. We also get to catch up with the other guys from previous books that we have all fallen in love with, in saying that I will say again this book can be read as a stand-alone.
Have we come to the end of the road with this series, I really hope not because I would love to see this couple dealing with parenthood because I know Julia Kent would be able give us her own special type of humour mixed with toddler’s how funny would that be. This book will make you laugh, it will make you smile but it will also make you think about the seriousness and the things women do when they feel their biological clock is ticking to fast. Loved this book and I really hope there’s more to come from Shopping for a Billionaire.
5 star review Shopping For A Billionaire’s Baby (Shopping for a Billionaire #13) by Julia Kent
Wow, what a great book! Congratulations, Ms. Kent on a great addition to what is in my humble opinion a fantastic series.
As with every book I have read in this series, I was in stitches having laughed so much I cried. That’s right, not only laughing but snort laughing, totally unattractive I assure you.
I have always enjoyed reading about Declan and Shannon and after reading Shopping For A Billionaire’s Baby I love them even more.Throw in their families, who quite frankly are as mad as hatters and what a fun read it was.
Having said all that, be prepared for some swoon worthy and tear jerking moments. All I will say is that I loved Declan before and I love him even more now.
As you can imagine from trying to conceive till the birth can be an emotional roller coaster, add in the nuttiness that is Declan and Shannon and their families and you just know that this is going to be one heck of a ride.
What a simply brilliant addition to one of my favourite romantic comedy series ever.
A favorite series. I always get the new book ASAP. They are laugh out loud hilarious!
This was utterly hilarious and just what I needed! This is most definitely a book hangover cure! I love Declan and Shannon! The way that Declan delights in his bride makes me giddy! I love his take charge attitude. The dual point of view is wonderful! I love getting into both of their hearts and minds. Marie was as ever the center point of chaos and the results are snort out loud hilarious. I’m really hoping for a Hammish spin off because let’s be honest, he’s delicious!! If you love contemporary and books that are just fun, this is what you should be delving into next!! Julia Kent never ceases to entertain and deliver one well written tale!
I think it takes real talent to cram so much into a book and still keep the reader engaged.
I listened to the audio book and liked the narration. I didn’t quite understand why the male narrator didn’t have more speaking parts. There were parts that I thought he would have it should have been speaking, but the female narrator handled those. It got to the point that when the male narrator spoke, it was sometimes startling. It did make me wonder how it would have flowed if he spoke every male part and she spoke every female part. I don’t know if that is considered dual or duet narration. It was still enjoyable.
Declan and Shannon went on a journey, from TTC (Trying To Conceive) all the way to the actual birth and a bit beyond. There is no such thing as a smooth path with the cast of characters involved in this story.
There was no real angst. There was a lot of confusion, miscommunication, annoying in-laws situations, and brotherly competition. Along with a load of laugh out loud moments, sarcasm, love, romance, heart felt moments, and steamy scenes.
All I could think as Declan and Shannon initially stepped on to the elevator was they this could not possibly happen to them. It is not a spoiler to admit that it happened because you could not begin to imagine the way it did happen.
This was a sweet, romantic, funny, lighthearted listen that was so uplifting considering the new normal we seem to be facing at the moment.
I definitely recommend all the books written by Julia Kent—they are laugh out loud hilarious, and you will get hooked by the time you reach the end of the first one—she is unbelievable!!
