When mystery shopper Shannon Jacoby meets billionaire Declan McCormick with her hand down a toilet in the men’s room of one of his stores, it’s love at first flush in this hilarious new romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent.
I am hooked to this series, ever since I’ve read this book. I had to laugh out loud ( and yes, there might have been some snorting too), which earned me some funny looks from my husband.
Funny
This is a great beginning to this series. She us a manager for a mystery shopping company and her worker flakes. She is on her 8th bagel shop & is checking out the men’s room when she runs into him. Little does she know he is part of a afternoon business meeting & a millionaire.
Funny
The ups and downs of a mystery shopper, a crazy family, and ex boyfriend who won’t leave you alone. Shannon is doing her job when she meets Declan in the men’s room at one of undercover mystery shop. But little did she know his father’s business was a potential client. Love everyone.
Light and fun.
Great start to the book, but soon discovered that it continue to book 2. After starting book 2 where they were going on a date, by the end of the book they were just leaving for the date. You will have to read every book to get the story.
Julia Kent is a master in the romance genre. and this book is one of the best I have read so far, besides her Billionaires collection . The characters make this book. A hilarious, witty adventure to find love. Thank You Ms. Kent for Shannon and Declan.
Shopping for a Billionaire Part 1 is an Okay read. It did make me grin in a couple of places.
Laugh out loud funny.
Couldn’t wait to read the next book!
I do not recommend this book unless you like crude eroticism and cliche characters and plots.
I love all of her books.
It lacked depth.
It was interesting, but I didn’t realize that it was only a small part of the story so was surprised by the cliff ending.
Too short
The book doesn’t end it just stops. I do not recommend it.
It was short, somewhat entertaining.
Love Shannon and Declan’s chemistry.
It would make a good beginning to a book, but left me unsatisfied.
I really dislike books that leave you hanging, so you have to buy more books to finish the story. If I would have known this from the beginning I would not have even started it.
I purchased this book. The story synopsis did sound like fun. The main character is a secret buyer. I have always been curious as to what that might involve. To be honest, I do NOT remember what I paid for this book. I did NOT get very far into the book and decided to ‘remove it ‘ from my ‘list of books’. Just could NOT like the main character, her mom and sister were not any better. Do I recommend this? Sorry, no.
lol i love this book, its a good read indeed…the characters are lovable
