When mystery shopper Shannon Jacoby meets billionaire Declan McCormick with her hand down a toilet in the men’s room of one of his stores, it’s love at first flush in this hilarious new romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent.
not much
While the stories are stand alone, they ARE part of a LONG series. Shorter books, so you’ll end up buying a lot if you get hooked into the story line. I prefer 1 or 2 (3 tops) for a series with same characters, but that ‘s just me. I read the first two and they were fun reads. Likeable characters.
This was a teaser, not a full length book.
There were many places where i laughed out loud. The author is pretty funny. The downside is, abrupt ending – leaving you hanging with an invite to buy 5 more books. I get sequels, but don’t leave every thread of the storyline hanging!
I would rather have paid for the whole book rather than have it piece mealed like it is. I want the whole story in one book.
I didn’t read!!!! Don’t like misleading books that you have to purchase another book tosee what happens!!!!
Pretentious and annoying. I read a few pages and dumped it.
It was so bad I could not finish it
This book was written to sell more books. It’s really a novella with additions.
You just get to the good part and get a….want to hear what happens next, just buy the next book.
Poor marketing. Won’t buy any more of this series.
I thought it was very entertaining but it was extremely short and didn’t feel finished.
This is not a full book. What is written is done fairly well but the book ends abruptly with an annoying clifhanger. The story is unbeivalbe and predictable, but well written.
A quick fun rom com. I loved it! If you enjoy awkward situations, pick this up!
As a secret shopper, Shannon has so get involved with some odd shops… Like examining the men’s bathroom. When Declan catches her in an questionable position, he can’t stop thinking about her.
This book had me giggling, and I will definitely be read the next book as soon as possible.
I love this book. It is super hilarious. Julia Kent’s humor reminds me of Dane Cook’s. It had me laughing so hard my sides hurt. I can’t wait to read what happens next with Shannon and Declan.
Shannon and Declan meet in the most terribly embarrassing way. He finds her in the bathroom stall with her hand down the toilet trying to fish out her phone. Mortified by the whole experience and unable to tell the truth about why he found her there Shannon escapes as quickly as possible. Declan is left standing there wondering about the beautiful and mysterious toilet girl.
Chance has them meeting again in another awkward encounter and Declan decides he’s not going to let Shannon get away. It’ll be tricky but he’ll find a way to persuade her to have dinner with him.
*This story does end in cliffhanger but you don’t have to wait for the next books to come out and there is also a boxset available for books 1-5.
Shopping for a Billionaire is a funny, enjoyable read! I read all in one sitting because it was good and made me laugh out loud. I have already recommended it to others who love to read, and I’m looking forward to reading more books from Ms. Kent.
