Vanessa de la Paz has always had it all…until she can’t have her best friend, Harrison.
Growing up the daughter of a wealthy Colombian businessman, Vanessa has been handed life on a silver platter. When she sets her sights on becoming the world’s next singing sensation without her father’s money, she hits a dead end at every turn and is ready to admit defeat for the first time. At a last-minute … admit defeat for the first time. At a last-minute tryout for a singing competition, she manages to get her foot in the door, and is convinced it’ll be an easy win.
Friend and Harper Music wardrobe genius, Harrison Burbank isn’t the type of man Vanessa typically dates, but once the contest kicks into gear, Vanessa realizes there’s something special about his adorable smile and endearing quirks. Right as she’s ready to make her move, a fellow contender with artificially enhanced lips, cheap hair extensions, and the determination to win at any cost swoops in and steals away Harrison’s affections.
Vanessa realizes winning the competition is on the line, but persuading Harrison that opposites attract would be the biggest prize of all.

Entertaining story where the competition is fierce on stage and behind the scenes. A mean-girls story with a happy ending.
Fun story about a television singing show and the contestants with humor, jealousy and friendship.
It’s the first book by this author that I’ve read.
To be honest, this is the first book I’ve read in this series. I understood right off that Vanessa is a born diva. Even I could see what Candy was; so what was wrong with Harrison. If he’s that blind and dumb, maybe Vanessa should find someone with a little more brains. As far as I can see, Harrison is only good for clothing mishaps and designing. Outside of that I found him flat and a typical hormonal nerd. Otherwise, the story and comedy came off beautifully.
I just love the Pop Stars Romantic Comedies. Shoot for the Stars was a wonderful, funny romance. I would not have thought to pair Vanessa and Harrison, but it really makes sense. There is a lot of drama in this story since there is a singing competition at its heart. With dirty tricks, a mean-spirited egomaniac competitor and the usual music industry scene there is much to keep you interested. Do not miss this clean, witty romance. It is a keeper! I will be rereading the entire series when all the books are written!
I loved reading this witty romance:) I loved the characters and their interaction. If you love romantic comedy this book is for you! I highly recommend this book and author! I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
It is a fitting tribute to this author’s skill that I actually like Vanessa! This gal is a full-fledged diva and proud of it. Not since Kiki have we seen one quite like this girl. Thank goodness she has depth hidden beneath all that bluster. Harrison is so sweet, sometimes too easygoing. But of course, in the end all is well. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
A fantastic contemporary romance that is exciting and well written. The characters are fun, quirky, likeable and evolve. This fast paced storyline had me laughing out loud with its witty dialogue. I was truly entertained from begining to end in this fun romance that was clean with the right amount of chemistry thru the stories twists. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
This s the fourth book in the series but can easily be read as a standalone. This was a fantastic read I am not usually a fan of books that are about TV reality shows but this was a really good fun read it had me laughing out loud at times well written with great characters I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series
I gave this book a five star rating because it was an easy read and honestly, I have been waiting for Harrison’s story and Rachael did not disappoint.
If I could have changed one thing it is that he would not have been clueless for so long about Candy, the woman he chooses to date. He’s a sweetheart and I wanted to jump into the book and rip out her hair—she’s that bad.
Vanessa is the socialite you just have to love. Though her father is a rich Colombian businessman and she is spoiled, she has the gumption to try to make it on her own in the music world. She finds herself drawn to her friend Harrison who does the wardrobe and has a great listening ear. She enters A singing competition with his encouragement and is pitted against Candy—the claws are out and sparks fly.
Will Vanessa be able to hide her feelings for Harrison? Will he wise up and see whose right in front of him? This is a great, fun story.
I was given an ARC and this is my honest review.
This was a cute read. It did take a little longer to warm up to Vanessa. She did come off as a pain at the beginning of the book.
This was a cute, clean romance that read like a YA book.
Vanessa de la Paz was a Columbian-born socialite who had an amazing voice. She wanted a singing contract but wasn’t able to achieve it on her own in a traditional way. So, she decided to audition for reality show singing competition. Her good friend, Harrison Burbank, was the tailor/costumer assigned to the program and Harper Music. As the competition progressed, Vanessa became more and more aware that her feelings for Harrison were changing from friend to maybe more. Unfortunately, Harrison had hooked up with the shallowest contestant of them all, Candy. She was only really interested in Harrison with the hopes that he might improve her chances of winning the competition.
My one criticism of the book was the mean girl personality in Candy’s personality grew tiresome. There is a happy ending which was great and I appreciated the fact that the story was a clean story without sex or foul language. I was given an arc copy of the book and I willingly offer my review.
I enjoyed this book and all the books in this series. I love Vanessa’s story and the fact she wants to make her dream happen without her dads help. I love the organization of this story and the fact I could easily follow it. I loved how all the other story lines were continued and how they added to this story. Happy reading.
