Such a sweet, sweet book.
4,5 stars
This author is always a safe read and her books are always sure to bring us joy.
I love this series and it was amazing and nostalgic to see so many of the early faces. No matter how much time passes, I’m always giddy when I see them.
This novella was a short an easy read. A sweet way to spend my afternoon, knowing without a doubt that I would get funny scenes, adorable characters, sexy moments and a wonderful time.
And all of that I sure got.
You are going to want to read this the minute you get it. Shine with Me is a touching romance that had me believing that anyone can find love.
Rina was an actress, but Luke wants her to return to star in his latest production. Only problem she is going to have to get in F.B.I agent shape. Luke knows just the man for the job, Ben, the owner of Sound Fitness.
Ben is speechless when Rina opens the door. He has six weeks to reshape the most gorgeous woman Ben has ever seen. The question is how to keep things professional.
Ben learns the challenges of being a star when the internet is flooded with pictures, not just of her and another man but of him and a woman. But can we really trust the paparazzi? Will people from different lifestyles find an equal footing?
This story is so believable. How many of us have had to compromise in order to have love? How many of us have had to deal with their partner having a friend of the opposite sex? Reality and a happily ever after make for the best reads.
Shine with Me is an novella in Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle series. It is also part of the 1001 Dark Nights series. You can read each book as standalone since each is a different couple. They are tied together of course which is so much fun. I have been following the series for years but have missed a few. Yes, they are waiting on my iPad.
Sabrina left Hollywood years ago, and now lives in Oregon and runs a non-profit for women and children. She never looked back when she left the limelight. It was her life since the age of three. She was done. Then he walks in. Luke Williams. Her old co-star and friend, also a man who left LA now behind the camera instead of in front of it. And now, he was in her building with a script in hand. One he knows she will say yes to since it’s a perfect role for her and he was right. She wanted it.
Ben was the new owner of a beloved local gym. He is crazy busy and with a new client. One who will need his full attention. He doesn’t know much about Sabrina, only that she was a child actor and an old friend of Luke’s. He didn’t know what to expect from Sabrina but when he saw her? He was done. He wanted her. Of course, he couldn’t just kiss her right then but he wanted to. They needed to be professional. They have six weeks to get her into shape for her role. Six weeks until she goes back to her life in Bend while he is in Seattle. Can they keep their hands to themselves?
Of course not!! Come on. I loved this story. It’s a novella but full of story, heart, fun, heat, and workouts. And of course, a family of friends. I love the With Me in Seattle family. So much! I can’t wait for the next book. I hope this series never ends.
Quotes:
“You’re the only sweet thing I want to taste,” I whisper against her earlobe. “Jesus, you’d tempt a saint, Rina.”
“We could have brought more, but we Tetrised this as much as we could.”
“See?” I turn to Ben. “Tetris.”
“Is it Zane Cooper, the movie star?”
“One and the same.”
“Wow,” Nic breathes, earning a look from her husband. “If Matt were to ever give me a hall pass—and trust me, we all know that’s never gonna happen—”
“Walking a fine line here, little one.”
Oh, how I love returning to Seattle and the Montgomery’s! Shine With Me is Kristen Proby’s newest novella in this world. You see a lot of the Mongomer’s too. So fun to catch up with and see who’s doing what. This is Ben Demarco and Sabrina Harrison’s story. Sabrina is in need of Ben’s expertise as a personal trainer to prepare for a movie role she never thought she would do again.
Since moving to Seattle to be near his best friend, Nic (Dalton) Montgomery, Ben has been focused on his new fitness business. Through his friendship with Nic, Ben has become a member of this tight knit loving family by extension. When asked to train someone for a new movie will Ben remember she is a client or will they both give in to the incredible amount of chemistry between them? Ben is just like all the other men in the Montgomery family. Super hot, muscles for days, smart, sexy, and alpha to the core for family and the woman who just might bring him to his knees. Not enough words for this simple country girl to describe how hot and sexy Ben is as well as all the other Montgomery men.
I totally love how Kristen puts so much depth into her characters and how interconnected the stories and characters are to each other. Her writing is just phenomenal in all areas, character development is perfection, to me anyway. Basically, I am completely over the moon for this book and author. If you love large families who have each other’s backs, ALWAYS? Then you will love any one of the “With Me In Seattle” books. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 5 stars easily.
What a fun, quick, and sexy read. I loved Sabrina and Ben’s story.
I love going “home” to Seattle lol.
Oh, how I loved Ben and Sabrina. This was a fun steamy novella. Each piece of the With Me in Seattle series just grows the series in my mind. It makes me love the “With Me” characters like family and keeps me eager and waiting for the next piece of the story haha. Of course in this novella, we get to reconnect with all my favorites *hello Nate ;)* but we also get to meet Sabrina who has a fun connection to Imagine with Me that I hope we get to hear more about later. We also get to see Ben again who was deliciously sexy. This was a quick and easy 5-star read.
Every time I read a book within the “With Me In Seattle Series” it gives me all the warm and fuzzies…….it’s like coming home. This was an easy, quick read but one that was sweet, fun, witty and some explosive chemistry you could definitely feel from the words between the pages. Ben and Rina’s story had me hanging on every word and hoping for so much more of their story because it captivates you with the ease of their relationship and beauty of their love story!
Another great addition to the Seattle series. Such chemistry between Sabrina and Ben. As with all of Kristen Proby’s books you get hooked on the first word to the last. Always wishing for more. The reoccurrence of past characters always a joy to read. This might have been a quick read but was filled with so much on the romance end. The attraction of these two characters is what will hold you until the last word. This series keeps getting better and better.
Quick insta-love story between Ben and Rina. Rina is brought back into a lifestyle she thought she left behind. Ben is hired to help get her ready. Great to see lots of familiar faces. Sweet love story that fins Ben and Rina overcoming some obstacles along the way.
Ben and Sabrina, their story is fast paced, sweet, adorable and so heartwarming. After many years of being out of Hollywood, Sanrina is offered a script who was made for her. Her friend the producer entices her to take the role and make a come back.In order to do so, she will need to get in shape for the action movie. Ben owns a gym and is offered a boatload of money to get Sabrina in top shape in six weeks. What comes next is pure Kristen Proby magic and story telling. Love the characters and the storyline and visiting our friends the Montgomery’s is always a pleasure. Ivolunteered to review this
I swear everything Kristen Proby writes is a 5 star. You will fall in love with Ben and Rina. It’s a nice short story with a happily ever after.
Shine with Me by Kristen Proby is a novella in the With Me in Seattle series. It’s a quick, easy read with very little drama. Ben owns a gym and is hired by Luke Williams to get ex-actress,Sabrina, in shape for a new role. Sparks immediately fly and then….we’ll you’ll need to read the book to find out. Very good writing as one would expect with a Kristen Proby story. 4.5
Another wonderful story in the With Me Seattle series from Kristen Proby. Each story is better and better!
Sabrina escaped the Hollywood world years ago and she has no desire to ever return. However, Luke Williams offers her a role she knows she can’t turn down. This is where Ben, local gym owner and personal trainer comes in. Sparks fly right away, Sabrina knows in her heart of hearts she won’t be able to resist Ben.
The best thing about a Kristen Proby book is you know you will be able to catch up with your favorite characters.
Don’t miss out on Ben and Sabrina, it’s a quick sweet and sexy read.
5 Star Review of Shine With Me (With Me In Seattle #13.5) by Kristen Proby
I have only read a few books in this series, but what I have read I have loved. This is Benjamin Demarco and Sabrina Harrison’s story and was a great addition to this wonderful series; I was captivated from the first to the last chapter.
Although it is a quick read, Ms.Proby certainly managed to pack a lot into it. Sabrina left Hollywood behind years ago but when an offer comes across her desk which is too good to refuse she knows she needs to get herself into shape. Enter Ben, the owner of the gym she is training at. The last thing he wants to do do is get involved with a client and yet there is something her that draws him to her and he cannot ignore it.
The attraction between them is too intense to ignore and the chemistry between them sizzles and was so hot and steamy. I loved both the characters, they were easy to relate to and the story was entertaining and steamy.
I cannot wait to see what Ms.Proby has in store for this series.
What a wonderful addition to the With Me In Seattle Series, this may be a quick read but that doesn’t mean Shine With Me ( With Me In Seattle, #13,5) doesn’t pack a mighty punch, it’s a captivating story featuring Nic’s ex boyfriend Benjamin Demarco and Sabrina Harrison.
Sabrina walked away from Hollywood many years ago but when Luke approaches her with a role she can’t turn down she needs to move to Seattle and get fit for the role, enter Ben the owner of Sound Fitness Gym. Ben has trained hundreds of woman so why is the one different, why is Sabrina getting under his skin and why does he want her to be more than just a client…..
If you haven’t read the With Me In Seattle Series this is the perfect introduction and if like me you have read all the books this is the perfect addition, so this novella will appeal to all romance lovers. It’s a captivating story with super hot men and sassy, strong women who stand for no nonsense, it’s entertaining, witty and emotional and it certainly ticked all my boxes. I loved the new characters and I loved catching up with old favourites from the past so this read was a win win for me and I’m excited to be back in Seattle looking forward to what’s coming next from the very talented Ms Proby.
