This is the perfect ending for this series and a great opening for the next series.
I really loved how all the characters showed growth and got to grow really close to each other.
I’m only sorry that I couldn’t have a front row seat to the main action, but other than that, this book held my attention from start to finish.
Although we can guess most of what is about to happen, it was still great to see a few surprises along the way.
I really like this awesome book and this amazing series.
Definitely recommend it.
I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Ending?
The ending leaves me needing to read about how all this came to be; starting with her mother.
This all feels like I’m in the middle of the story instead of the ending.
Overall, a fun read! On to the next! #HappyReading

Dropping some big hints about Kat being her mother’s daughter, even if no one will tell her about what her mother did, this book pretty much follows the anticipated layout based on Lilliana’s plans shared at the end of the last book. They know there’s going to be a battle; they just have to decide what to do about it, and then Kat and her friends have to convince the Elder of their community to let them fight. I sorta understood that the Elder wanted to protect them, but it seemed like it took a lot of work to convince him he didn’t have enough people since they’d never planned to need defensive fighters. Once he clued in, it became one big snowballing-to-the-end sort of downhill race to the big battle scene. Which of course was not quite as the heroes had expected, but it was epic regardless.
I really liked the little touches in this book. It wasn’t much for developing existing characters and plots; everything had pretty much been set up as one big train of dominoes by the end of book two. But little conversations about things they liked, dreams they had, wishful thinking… it was little things that really sold me on this book, and the epic ending. Definitely a good book, and I may have to go dig up the series about Kat’s mom now!

I left a five star rating even though I could not finish the book. I love the writer’s style and the way she builds excitement in her stories, unfortunately this is just not a genre I can get into. I really enjoyed her first book in the series and if I could get into the fantasy I’m sure I would have enjoyed this one.

Wonderful
Explosive, compelling, enjoyable page turner that takes you on a sensational adventure full of intense drama and wild experiences. The characters were amazing and real. There’s pain, sorrow, joy and love. Kathryn and Gabriel face a powerful demon that causes a lot of damage and problems. A fantastic story with a happy ending keeping you at the edge of your seat.

Riveting, fascinating book
What is the price of victory?
The immortals struggling against Lilliana and her conjurers will soon learn that everybody loses in a war. The victors lose their friends fallen victims to their enemies and more than that, they lose whatever future might have been theirs.
A bitter tale even if there is a happily-ever-after of sorts.
This was fast and enjoyable read. This is the final book in this series. The story was easy to read and follow. I will be looking for more books by this author in the future.

We have suspence, action and more. Follow Kat and her friends on this journey in a new dimension that is suppose to keep them safe. But what happens when lillianna is able to come through. How has she done it? Can they fight back? Will the Angels help? Can they save their friends and other hybrids. Follow along in the last book of this series, oh it does lead into another series (Alyx Rayer Trilogy) that should be interesting.

“Shine with Me” is the final installment in the “Captivated” Trilogy by S.J. Pierce, a young adult, paranormal romance series, which follows Kat Walsh, an Irish girl – offspring of a fallen angel and a prophet – who initially jumped at the opportunity to attend the Midland Pines High – a paranormal US school for gifted teens – and flee the constant abuse and torment in her home country, where she is considered a cursed witch due to her telekinesis gift, to further move forward to settle into a hybrids compound, with the intend to keeps her friends save from the witch seeking vengeance on her family, even if that also meant to sever some of her links with that same family. As this is Kat’s coming-of-age journey, her own behaviour often oscillates between self-awareness and annoyance to finally swing back to find her own balance and self-assurance.
The moment has come to finally take a stand against Lilliana to end once and for all her vengeful-path. Kat has finally found her power to be able to fulfill her own destiny, the story is a lot more serious as the previous two instalment but by no means less enjoyable.
