Terra is shiftless — a werewolf uncomfortable in her own animal skin.A decade after learning to squash her wolf and flee the repressive village where she grew up, the packless ache still gnaws at Terra’s insides. But despite her yearnings, she struggles against being reeled back into her old life.To Terra’s dismay, her father and half a dozen of his henchmen finally ambush her and demand her … ambush her and demand her return. Yet they do offer one way out — hunt down her nephew Keith, teach him to shift, and bring the youngster back into the fold in her place.
Problem upon problem piles up as Terra strives to do her father’s bidding. The female shifter has hidden from her wolf for so long that she finds herself unable to change back into canine form, and she also realizes that her nephew is too good-natured to survive for a minute walking in his grandfather’s footsteps. Plus, there’s an alpha standing in her way who’s equal parts enticing and terrifying.
Will Terra be able to relearn her werewolf abilities — and overcome her morals — before her father steals away her hard-earned independence? And as that tantalizing alpha reels her in closer and closer, the question becomes — does she really want to stay away?
Don’t miss the first book in a series that has been described as a “good choice for Patricia Briggs fans.”
Wolf Rampant trilogy:

Awesome werewolf urban fantasy….
I purchased this e-book in 2014 and thought it was a wonderful “coming into her own” story about a female werewolf trying to live out in the world away from the restrictive patriarchal pack of her childhood. The story is well-written and flows smoothly. It combines romance, adventure, and a host of likeable …
Easily my favorite couple in all of Aimee Easterling’s series it was great to hear the start to Terra and Wolfie’s story brought to life. Escaping her unhappy pack life at an early age, Terra survived in the human world by keeping her wolf locked down in a cage. Then she meets Wolfie, a Bloodling whose wolf is very present and reawakens her own. …
I really enjoyed this book. Once you start reading it you don’t want to stop until the end. But I recommend if you are just starting to read these books like me start with the one’s that begin with Wolfie.
Shiftless is Book 1 in the Wolf Rampant series. Aimee Easterling has added a different take on the werewolf shifter – a shifter that is born as a wolf instead of a human – a bloodling. Her world building is very descriptive and exceptional with amazing character development. The characters are interesting and relatable. I really like Terra, …
Strong female characters and loveable males, with a nice amount of action, what more do you need?
Terra’s a lone wolf; she ran when her old pack wanted to force a mating on her. Plus, she doesn’t like that Alpha wolves can make lower standing wolves do what they want. So, when she meets Alpha wolf, Wolfie, she is not initially happy; even if he seems like a different type of Alpha. Terra finds it hard to control her wolf; the human mind is …
Very nice! Not your typical werewolf story but still, a good read and nice character development. Recommended!
This is a great intro to a really interesting world. The contrast between the two packs involved is fantastic. Both men in Terra’s life, while both alphas, could not be more different. I love that one of these men is humble and gentle while still maintaining his alpha status. This is how a healthy relationship should be. Maybe I’m a little touchy …

Shiftless is about a woman named Terra who has run away from pack life to escape an abusive father. During her time away she meets Wolfie and Chase another Pack Alpha and Beta. She also gets tracked down by her father who gives her a month to get her nephew (one she didn’t know she had), ready to return to the pack that she …
Shiftless is Aimee Easterling’s first installment in her new Wolf Rampant Series. I truly enjoyed Ms. Easterling’s writing style as well as her unusual take on werewolves. Bloodlings were a welcome addition to the lore. The storyline was fast-paced, filled with drama, mystery, intrigue and danger. The characters were wonderful and easy to relate …
This is an enjoyable story that kept my interest. The characters are engaging and I came to care about them. The story zipped along at a great pace. I am intrigued enough to listen to the second one. I did listen to this on audio. Kelly McCall Fumo did a good job.
A shiftless read!
She is shiftless – a werewolf uncomfortable in her own animal skin…
An enjoyable and lovely read! Entertaining, interesting and exciting.
Well written and a brilliant story of transformation and coming into your skin.
Full of wolfs, pack, family, mate, destiny, survival and love.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.
Author: Aimee Easterling Book: Shiftless (Wolf Rampant, Book 1 of 3) Length: 185 pages, 4 hrs 26 mins This book was like a cool refreshing cup of milk to a topic that has been circling around the YA shelves since Twilight. But, probably more chocolate milk than vanilla due to its intense feel and deeper writing style, meanwhile still being …
First in a series with character-driven action that also delves into the shadow cast by a controlling parent who apparently views children as property to be used to bolster the family/pack’s standing.
It was my pleasure to receive this free book and give my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. Interesting main characters and good story line. The story moves at a good pace. Wolfie is my new favorite werewolf character!
I really like the shifting concept. I think the characters are well developed. I like when I buy one book, become hooked and need to get the whole series. This was one of them.
A werewolf romance that isn’t 80% sex! But instead focuses on politics and on the adventures of a woman whose relationship with her (ex?)pack is not great. I very much enjoyed, although I have to say the characterization of the MC overshadows pretty much every other character including villain and love interest. She’s just a lot more interesting. …
Seemed to be decently written but there was too much description of past circumstances rather than memories. But she really lost me when she decided women werewolves were the weaker sex and had to be protected.
Also, the imagining of werewolf capabilities seemed purposely rather limited.
I haven’t read a book by Aimee that I haven’t really enjoyed.
For those of us who love anything paranormal this is for us. Characters are endearing and entertaining. Story moves right along and keeps one engaged and eager to find out how it all winds up. Very good.
