Sometimes you see love clearly. And sometimes it has to smack you in the face. When a stranger walks up and punches him in a bar, Ryan Kaye assumes there’s a good reason. And a one-night stand with his best friend’s older sister, Professor Amanda Dixon, is a really good reason. Except that it never happened. She says she’s sorry for the lie, but he doesn’t want an apology… He wants the night. … but he doesn’t want an apology… He wants the night.
The last thing Amanda needs is to add to her long list of commitments. But when tempted with the chance to fulfill a few fantasies with the hot paramedic she’s had dirty dreams about forever, she can’t resist.
One night is surely enough time for a renowned playboy like Ryan to teach her a few fun things. Thank goodness it isn’t enough time to fall in love…

Relationships are hard and all the characters in this book reveals how they can make it work. Entertaining and beautiful story
Haven’t read an Erin Nicholas series I haven’t enjoyed! Great first book. Ryan is everything!!
This was a great first book. You get a good rundown on everyone while getting to know The Dixon girls and their brother. This one is about Amanda. She is the oldest of the girls and the one that has taken on the responsibility of being the go to person for her sisters. Other then her protective brother of course. Amanda has a thing for Ryan and the book starts with a great, funny accident that sets the whole book up. From there the story unfolds with sexy chemistry that nether thought to act on. There are a bunch of laughs. I enjoyed these books from cover to cover and can’t wait to read the next one.
Neat couple. The really balanced each other out. The bring out parts of the others personalities that normally aren’t seen. I really like that about this book. Yes it ends on a happy note too.
Getting what you wish for involves work and patience. Sometimes we think all is good and your life is on track but reality can throw a mighty punch.
Could not hold my attention
Most fun read I’ve had in awhile!!! I totally enjoyed this story. This author knows how to perfectly mix humor and loving. She is great at writing sex scenes. I didn’t skip a single one of them.
Different plot but very good story.
The characters were great & the sisters were there for each other. The older brother was everyone’s older brother!
She’s The One is a fun contemporary romance by Erin Nicholas. Ms. Nicholas has provided readers with a well-written book populated with a fantastic group of characters. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ryan was sucker-punched because Amanda told a man that she had a one night stand with Ryan and couldn’t forget him. Now instead of wanting an apology from Amanda, he wants that one night. Ryan and Amanda’s story is packed with drama, humor and smokin’ hot sexy bits. I enjoyed this book and look forward to my next Erin Nicholas book. She’s The One is book 1 of the Just Everyday Heroes: Night Shift Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Ryan’s learned from his mom how to care for a woman, but mom did not do forever relationships, so he thinks he cannot do a forever marriage. But after falling for Amanda his mom shows convinces him he can. Amanda has her own issues to work through, but with Ryan’s help she opens up and is ready for love.
Great read
Really enjoyed this family drama and exciting romance.
I liked the blurb description and the first two pages of the book, but then suddenly a lot of characters were being introduced and it was hard to keep track of the actual story. I rarely read a book that throws too many characters at me in the first chapter. If you like this, then I am sure you will like this book. Personally, after the first 10 pages, I stopped reading and deleted it from my Kindle.
The female character appears to have a mental problem and has weird behavior.
The male character accepts it even though he has never put up with antics like this from other women ever before.
So stupid, that I didn’t want to finish the book! Nor did I!
I was really hooked. Ended up reading the rest of the series in four days.
Entertaining
Great unique characters, easy to keep up with every one, loved the story line and definitely finished to the very end! Thanks for the enjoyment of reading this story!

Ryan and Amanda are friends through her overprotective brother. To avoid someone’s unwanted attention she tells them that Ryan dumped her and broke her heart. This leads to Ryan getting punched in the face, when he finds out the reason why it gives him the opportunity to approach Amanda as more than friends. Nothing is straightforward, there is a really closely knit family and friends group, misconceptions about moving on when times get tough and a control freak who is used to doing all the covering and caring.
