You know, we’ve always hope for that summer dream. Those lazy, calm, happy, lovely days.
Angel sands it’s the perfect scenery, a small town, everyone knows each other and they live one day after another, breathing the place with heart and soul.
Every change, every small event is taken seriously and everyone takes part and does whatever they can to make that change better.
You feel it if you’re born there or if you moved there.
That’s life what happened to this couple, Nate and Ally are from different worlds, but they take the chance, they need and eventually want the same, before they know it, but can only take the jump together.
No spoilers for you, wouldn’t you want to know this slow burn aching to explode? I guess you need to read it and then let me know if I’m true.
😉
I’m giving it five stars just because it made me dream of that special place hidden in my heart.
Ally is reeling in the after math of her father selling her family’s cafe without telling her and Nate is coming to terms with being a full time single father to a 17 year old girl going through some serious adjustment issues of her own. When these two come together the chemistry is explosive but they are both plenty fun shy to act on it dir to their own issues. Nate is the new owner of Ally’s cafe and she is trying to come to terms with all the changes in her life when an accident makes keeping her distance from the handsome Nate impossible. However when push comes to shove and things get out of control will their budding romance survive the aftermath or will Ally be left behind once again? This book was amazing and the characters were simply fabulous! I can’t wait to read what happens in the next book.

Loving this small town series and getting to know more of the people who live in Angel Sands. After reading the first book I was curious as to Ally’s story and her relationship with her father, and the author did not disappoint. As they say, there are two sides to every story and there were some aspects that I wasn’t really expecting.
While Ally is trying to deal with the fact that her father has sold the café, she’s unprepared for the attraction she feels for her new boss, Nate. The more time they spend together, the harder it is for them to ignore their mutual attraction. But the question is whether Nate will want to develop a relationship with Ally given he is dealing with his somewhat troubled daughter Riley.
This story will take you on an emotional roller coaster – from the thrill of new love, to heartache, to an appreciation that family can be more than just your blood relatives. This is definitely a book you will want to read.

Love Ally and Nates amazing beautiful emotional heartstopping love story,So ready for more love this series
This is a really good continuation to this series. Ally has not had an easy life but all the times she has been knocked down has made her strong enough to stand back up and be a great match for Nate and just the person Riley needs when she needs it most. Great story!
I absolutely could not put this book Down! A beautiful story about growing as a person, learning from past mistakes and making connections to people that matter. I adored both Ally and Nate and really felt for Riley and all she was going through. I’m very excited for the next book, I have a feeling it’s going to be fantastic!

Loved this well-written romance for cafe manager Ally and her new boss Nate, a single dad with a troubled teen daughter. It had medium steam, some tear jerker moments, realistic interactions with teen Riley, and kept me wondering when or if Ally would get the HEA she so deserved. I really like the residents of this small coastal town and how supportive they are. Looking forward to the next in the series.

In book one of this series, I fell in love with this group of women and the town of Angel Sands. I was extremely pleased that Ally’s story was the 2nd in the series as I found her very likable and her situation intriguing. Add in the premise of her story ( older man/younger woman) and I was practically gleeful.
Ally’s life is upended when her father, who is MIA, up and sells their cafe out from underneath Ally. Into Ally’s life comes an older man, her new boss, with his teenage daughter; the small family of Nate and Riley Crawford. This story is one part slow-burn romance and part insta-love made complex by the relationships the exist between fathers and daughters.
The slow-burn is provided through the connection that Ally and Nate develop. At first, it’s all business, but the attraction simmers and circumstances lead to a more non-business situation where getting to know each other at a more intimate level is natural. But Nate is a complex man, with a bit of baggage in the romance department; things affected by the circumstances of having a teenager that he is now a full-time parent to.
I felt an insta-love aspect between Riley and Ally. They have so much in common and quickly develop a friendship that helps Riley to settle into the town of Angel Sands. Riley and Ally share conflicting feelings with how they feel about their fathers and what they need from them, which in turn creates some drama that threatens the formation and foundation of these new relationships.
Nate makes some decisions based on assumptions and limited info, and clearly has some issues with communicating that get in the way of his happiness. Well, his and Ally’s. But Carrie Elks plots it out perfectly to give the angst I love, at the right level and for the right amount of time. She made me root hard for his redemption, both his and for Ally’s father.
If you love small town romance with characters that are easy to connect to, the Angel Sands series is perfect for you. These books make for great beach reads. I’m already looking forward to the next in the series!
I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.
‘She’s like the wind’ is the second book in the ‘Angel Sands’ series. Do you have to read the first book to read this one? No, you can perfectly read this book without reading the first one.
After reading and enjoying the first book ‘Let me burn’ I was curious about Ember’s two best friends Ally and Brooke and their romance story. ‘She’s like the wind’ is the story of Ally and Nate.
Ally never expected that she would fall for her new boss Nate but that’s exactly what happens. Nate may be older than her and be a single father of a teenage girl, those things means nothing when their eyes meet. The only reason why Nate moved to the small beach town ‘Angel Sands’ was to make a new start for him and his teenage daughter Riley. Since losing her mother and moving in with him, things have been difficult between them. Nate hope that a change of scenery will be good for the both of them. He never expected to fall for a younger woman who works for him but that is just what happens. But his feelings aren’t the only thing that he has to consider. How will Riley react when she discovers there is something between him and Ally? Will he have to choose between Riley and Ally?
I enjoyed this book. It had the perfect blend between a light read and an emotional one. I liked the interaction between Ally, Nate and Riley. The fact that Ally could relate to Riley because of her own similar childhood experience, made that Ally had more understanding and patience with Riley and her teenage behavior. But it also meant that Ally had to deal with own feelings of her own past. I found it very interesting to see how experiences of the past can help you to help others but it can also hold you back to live a happy life. And that communication is very important in every relationship.
The story is told in both POV’s and it was fun to see Ember, Lucas and Brooke again. After hearing a lot of Ally’s father in the first book, we finally get to meet him and hear his side of the story and his reasons of why he did some things.
‘She’s like the wind’ is a great story and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
I absolutely love this series!
