She begged God to rescue her. He said, “Go.” So she headed out into the blizzard. In a car that wasn’t exactly hers, with a dog who wasn’t exactly a rat terrier, she drove. Until she ran out of gas in the small Maine town of Mattawooptock. Mattawoopwhat? What on earth is God thinking? But it is there, in a weird little bathroom in a weird little church in a weird little town that Maggie Hansen … finds herself. And as God would have it, she finds a lot more than that.

It was real good. The only thing that kept it from getting a 5 star is I would have liked to see more scriptures in it.
Just an easy light hearted read. Kept me reading.
It was a good story about how God leads us through difficult times until his plan comes together in our minds.
A book about kindness and mercy.
This book was a great inspirational read. I would recommend it to anyone.
It makes you want the underdog to win the lady.
Very nice story about two common ordinary people.
A good rainy day quick read.
Entertaining read
A tender look at homelessness, faith and hope.
Nice insight into a church in action and the world of the homeless. Easy read.
nice easy read kept my interest
Excellent book about starting over. Fast paced story and easy to read . Easy to fall in love with the characters. I didn’t want the story to end.
Very good book
i liked this book very much. I’m a pastor’s wife, & I admit, our church has never even considered this form of ministry. Makes me think, you know? Especially in today’s world, there are a lot of folks in similar situations. What’s the old quote? “There but for the grace of God, go I?” Great read!!!
I recommend this book. Encouraging and awakening that the homeless are real people too.
A sweet story about love and redemption! A tad predictable, but the characters and the descriptions made up for that! Quick read!
Very uplifting & encouraging to remind us to “give back”.
It was impossible to put down. For a church to dedicate itself full time to caring for the homeless would be such a wonderful thing. The characters in the book are so special. The opening of a beauty shop in the restroom at the church for free haircuts is just one of the things that helped so much to raise the spirits of the residents. There is what looks like a real calamity, but turns out to be a great blessing. And the heroine’s discovery of a true love who loves her dog even though he is allergic to dogs is such a special part of it. I can’t say enough good things about this book.
Nice, easy read that held my interest. The charactersdetails are rather sparse and lots of information is left out but a gentle story and nice way to pass some free time.
