AMAZING….. BEAUTIFUL…..WONDERFUL
Breathtaking beautiful Biblical Fiction at its finest. If you have not read this author I recommend reading them all or should I say devour them all. You will feel like you are walking the streets in the ancient cities, tasting the foods, seeing the clothing, etc as the words transport you into the midst of the story. This story is so well crafted like an artisan crafts a beautiful work of art. You will fall in love with the characters and revisit previous characters that you already love. It brings to life a city of refuge and exactly what it means from the scriptures. It will make you weep, laugh, and want to dig deeper into the scriptures and your faith. A wonderful story of faith, family (not necessarily by blood), forgiveness of self and others, all woven into a breathtaking love story . I count it all joy to be blessed to read such a wonderful book of poetic charm.
I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. The very honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
Great book!! I have loved all books that I have read by Connilyn Cossette. They have been entertaining, exciting, as well as being thought provoking, and drawing me to read more of my Bible and understanding more of it.
Shelter Of the Most High has done that again. It is an exciting continuation of A Light On the Hill (1st book of Cities of Refuge series). For me, this book presented the topic of mercy, forgiveness (from God and from yourself), and being loved by God and seen as precious in His sight. It has caused me to think about God’s love for me and think about how I don’t forgive myself of things that God has. I thought of how God’s mercy can be found in places and ways you may not expect them to be, all while taking me on an adventure in Israel shortly after entering the Promised Land.
The story itself was funny, emotional, and suspense filled. It was exciting to turn the page and see what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading every word of it and look forward to the next book in the series to see what happens next.
