She’s a city slicker. He’s a man married to small-town living. They are totally wrong for each other … or are they?Emily Flanagan loves everything about the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, especially her career. But when her mom suddenly takes ill, Emily has to put her life on hold and rush to Frazier Falls. The small town offers nothing she desires, and everything she loathes, especially the … especially the handsome but arrogant Eli Cooper. If she didn’t want to throttle him each time she saw him, he could be a nice distraction.
When Eli Cooper first sees the beautiful stranger slip on the ice, he thinks he might have a chance to play Prince Charming to her Cinderella. But as soon as he offers assistance, he discovers she’s not the type who needs—nor wants—rescuing. Within minutes, Emily and Eli are fighting like warring nations. As far as he’s concerned, she can’t leave town soon enough.
They aren’t a perfect match, but it’s said that there’s a fine line between love and hate.
Can they have a ceasefire long enough to realize their true feelings for one another?

I loved this small town romance. There was great character development and that quintessential small town experience. This is my first book by this author and I would love to read more. Amazing characters and a storyline that is relatable. Bits of humor woven in with a lot of love. A perfect book to cozy up with.

This is a great second book for the Cooper brothers. Eli who is always polite, seen as the mature brother, with a sarcastic streak, meets his match with the girl from the City that wants nothing to do with small town life and the small mindedness gossip that follows along with it. But views can be changed and this love story is a really great read that you will not want to put down. The banter back and forth made me giggle and Emily’s worry for her mom really hits home for anyone with older parents. A lovely read.

For loving Aspen Cove as much as I do, I didn’t know if I would enjoy Frazier Falls as much, but I definitely am. Eli and Emily are fantastic! I’m actually bummed that there are only three Cooper brothers. I can’t wait to read about Paxton next
We are returning to the wonderful small town of Frazier Falls!! Here we have a definite opposite attract situation with Eli who loves everything about his small town and Emily who is all about the big city life but has to make regular trips into Frazier Falls to check on her mother, who has been ill. I thought Eli was an all-around perfect type of guy who spoke his mind and did not mince words and was comfortable with himself and his place in the world. Emily, on the other hand, was a bit of a condescending twit at first but thankfully she did improve so that getting her HEA with Eli did not feel like a total mismatch. I look forward to the next time Ms. Collins lets us visit this great small town and see who gets to find their own HEA.

Small town romance. Eli Cooper is the middle brother and part owner of Cooper Construction. He loves everything about the small town. Emily Flanagan is in Frazier Falls visiting her mother when a huge snow storm prevents her from going home to L.A. She hates everything about the small town except her mother. They meet in the local store but it seems like they hate each other. I think they’re instantly attracted to each other but are too stubborn to admit it. They keep running into each other and the attraction builds. When the storm clears Emily goes home but knows it was the wrong thing and misses Eli and her mom. When there’s an emergency and she tries to return, there’s another storm trying to prevent her from getting there. Can she get back to Frazier Falls in time.
I enjoyed this story. Eli is such a good, complex character. So thoughtful under the gruff. Emily was much harder to like, although she grew on me as the story progressed.
I loved this story, but I spent a lot of time not liking the characters very much. It was easier for me to like Eli, probably because I had already gotten to know him a little in the previous book. Also, he kept most of his judgmental opinions to himself. They were also fairly tame – his judge-y-ness was sarcastic, but it wasn’t particularly mean. I spent a lot of this book thinking that Emily came across as not much more than a Mean Girl. A lot of her judgments had an edge of cruelty that I didn’t enjoy. I really liked seeing them chip away at each others’ shields to find the softer, vulnerable people underneath that I wanted to get to know. And THOSE people I really liked. I adored seeing the pair of them come to their senses, and now I can’t wait to read even more in this series.

Eli Cooper loved everything about his small-town life in Frazier Falls because it was predictable and perfect. Eli Cooper is the middle brother and part owner of Cooper Construction, no lofty ambitions, just a steady and satisfying job.
Emily Flanagan is a city girl through-and-through. She and her mother had lived in a tiny village in Ireland, and she definitely had her fill of small-town living, gossip, and everybody-in-your-business! But with her mom being ill, she needs to make regular visits to Frazier Falls, a small town she finds uncomfortable. When she runs into Eli Cooper, the two of them are instantly antagonistic. However, when they keep bumping into each other over and over, they become attracted and actually enjoy each other’s company, knowing Emily’s stay in town is only for a short time! A small town like Frazier Falls cannot compete with her career as an urban planner in the busy Los Angeles area! There is nothing for her here, right?
So when Emily cannot delay her return any longer, she heads back to the city, leaving behind a devastated Eli. Will she find that she misses him? Or is the allure of the city too much to walk away from?
This is another good story in this series. If you have ever lived in a small town, it is absolutely true that people really love to get into your business. But there is also no better place to be if you need a friend or help of any kind. The communities take care of their own. City life has its own benefits. Now the question is, what will call the loudest to Emily’s heart — love or location?
ONE INCREDIBLE ENCOUNTER!!!
Oh lawd! Kelly displays such an amazing imagination that touches all the right places, just as heart melting with passion and style that blows this baby wide open. A churning vortex of vexing mishaps blast those spinning emotions into play, throwing this baby into a tailspin with a shocking culmination. Divvying up delicious, well rounded scenario’s that punch dead center, ramping up the anticipation and adrenaline, thrusting this gem to life brilliantly. Throw in all the uncertainty, drama and intrigue and you have one page flipping dynamo that melds this bad boy together piece by piece. Bumbling through the trials and tribulations, stunning twists and skeek turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Kelly totally nailed this baby hands down with 100% on point realism that thrusts this jewel to a whole new level. The chemistry is intense, sizzling and palpable. The characters and their personalities are genuine and realistic with depth and qualities, adding diversity, propelling this bad boy to life flawlessly. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive its paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Kelly, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
One of the best, happy, fun reads I’ve read. I loved the snark best of all, but there’s plenty to love in this story. The Cooper brothers are always bantering and picking, but above that, always loving each other and others. Eli meets Emily and sparks and words fly. They can’t get each other out of their respective minds. Judy needs her daughter closer due to her health, but wants closer for more selfish reasons. The entire town is one small community to fall in love with. I’m so pleased I got the opportunity to read this story.

I just loved Eli and Emily as they both liked to rile each other up but they were also perfectly matched even if they don’t realise it at the time. Emily is torn between wanting to be with her Mum to ensure she is ok and needing to work in the city to have enough money to help while Eli comes to grips with the fact he has found someone he cares about but doesn’t know what to do about it. This is the perfect book to read if you are after something that makes you laugh, groan at stupidity and fall in love with Frazier Falls and those who live there even more.

Shelter Me – A new series by a talented author with a gift of storytelling. The storylines are interesting. The characters are are interesting, believable with realistic dialog. The fast pace brings the book too soon to the end. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Christmas Inn Love – I enjoy the romances written by this author. They are always delightful and heartwarming with plenty of family values and love. Her writing style is cas$ual and laid back with vivid descriptions placing the reader in the midst of each story. The cast of characters are perfect; the three main characters and the supporting crew are all realistic and believable. The storylines are interesting and keep the reader immersed in the love and humor of all involved. I couldn’t put the book down since I cared so much for everyone and wanted to share their experiences. 5*
One Hundred Excuses – This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it immensely. Well written with good storylines and characters that are likable and decent people. I didn’t realize this is part of series because other people and previous history were mentioned in passing as if introduced in another book. BUT this did not diminish my enjoyment of this delightful, heartwarming story. I had fun with Mrs. Beasley (from Family Affair), I remember when she hit the store shelves in the late 60s. Now I want to read the rest of the stories. I did skip the sex scenes, for me the sexual tension is interesting and written sex is boring. 5*
Shelter Me is the kind of small town love story that is a lovely way to spend a couple of afternoons reading! Eli cooper is the middle brother of Cooper Construction. While it is not necessary to read the first book in the series Rescue Me, I recommend it as well to get the full impact of this small town and the brothers that live there. Eli is rapidly approaching 35 and now that his older brother has a fiancee he is starting to feel a tiny bit lonely even though he loves his life and job in this small, quaint town. He just needs to meet the right woman. Bumping into Emily Flanagan was an unexpected surprise for Eli. She is quite lovely as well as quite prickly! Emily is a L.A. gal and she is only planning to stay in Frazier Falls until she can get her mother’s health back on track. She has a career that she enjoys as an urban planner in one of the most urban cities in America and small town living isn’t for her. Or is it? These two definitely have a bumpy beginning but the more that they get to know each other the more that they find in common. Shelter Me was told from dual POV and is sweet with just a tiny bit of heat. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I throughly enjoyed Shelter Me! Eli found his match when a Irish women comes to Frazier Falls. I would say enemies to lovers kinda storyline. I loved the banter between the two. Kept me reading and intrigued as the story continued! I can’t wait for Paxton’s book next!
Another super sweet addition to the Frazier Falls series!
I love this author. Her books never disappoint.
Small town boy meets city girl, Eli has an interesting first encounter with Emily. These two definitely do not hit it off at first, totally wrong for each other, but you will root for true love to win!
Very enjoyable read as always from this author. Look forward to more from this awesome series.

Enjoyed reading Eli & Emily’s story. I like him, he is so sweet, compassionate, a true gentlemen who believes in romance. Emily on the other hand has convinced herself that her life should revolve around how much money she can make and is so stuck in her ways. It’s sad that she couldn’t see the error of those ways, those consequences are drastically realistic. Plot is gripping, I was up late reading because I couldn’t put it down. Love this small town atmosphere. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is Eli’s story as the Cooper brothers continue their work with eco-friendly building in Colorado. I find these stories interesting as this author leads us into the future vision in homes, community and lifestyles. This series is fascinating; the characters are woven into Frazier Falls itself; and, the touching romance within each book is warm and fuzzy. I love this book as the love and family dedication is gentle and sweet. Thanks to the author for giving me this ARC to enjoy.
A real pageturner that I loved reading. A great lovestory with great characters. Would love to read more about the Cooper brother’s.

This novel is a lighthearted romance that follows on from Rescue Me set in Frazier Falls and hits all the right spots with romance, humour and small-town living. When Emily and her mother left their tiny village in Ireland, she turned her back on small-town life with its gossip and everyone-in-your-business. She’s a city girl and she loves it. However, with her mother being ill Emily is forced to make regular visits to Frazier Falls, much against her will. When a serious snowstorm hits the town, she encounters the grumpy Eli Cooper, who has a tendency to speak his mind without apology. This puts them on the wrong footing, both literally and figuratively. As they are thrown together more and more often, the rising attraction between Emily and Eli takes on a life of its own and before long they find themselves depending on one another for companionship. However, the city calls and when Emily can no longer delay her return to her job, Eli is devastated. This is an enjoyable contemporary romance with plenty of humour as the residents of Frazier Falls band together in rooting for Eli and Emily. Having met Eli in the previous novel, I enjoyed reading his story, especially as he is the brother that keeps everyone on track. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
If you are new to the series, it centers around three brothers that own a construction company in the small town of Frazier, CO . Where everyone knows everyone and gossip abounds. But also, where the people take care of each other.
I read book one in this series , and really enjoyed Owen Cooper’s story, the oldest of the brothers. This time it’s Eli’s story, the middle brother who does the company’s finances.
On a stormy night, he meets Emily Flanagan, the daughter of a woman in town whose health has been deteriorating . Emily, who now lives and breaths LA, is in town to convince her Mom to move out west.
While she’s anxious to leave town, Eli loves it there. What started out as a bickering match, slowly develops into a friendship and more. But both know they have an expiration date.
Will Emily leave and come back to stay, or will she eventually only be a memory for the cold nights ahead?
Though it was just an ok book for me, it was still enjoyable.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Booksprout. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
