She’s a city slicker. He’s a man married to small-town living. They are totally wrong for each other … or are they?Emily Flanagan loves everything about the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, especially her career. But when her mom suddenly takes ill, Emily has to put her life on hold and rush to Frazier Falls. The small town offers nothing she desires, and everything she loathes, especially the … especially the handsome but arrogant Eli Cooper. If she didn’t want to throttle him each time she saw him, he could be a nice distraction.
When Eli Cooper first sees the beautiful stranger slip on the ice, he thinks he might have a chance to play Prince Charming to her Cinderella. But as soon as he offers assistance, he discovers she’s not the type who needs—nor wants—rescuing. Within minutes, Emily and Eli are fighting like warring nations. As far as he’s concerned, she can’t leave town soon enough.
They aren’t a perfect match, but it’s said that there’s a fine line between love and hate.
Can they have a ceasefire long enough to realize their true feelings for one another?
Kelly Collins brings her signature wit, wisdom, and warmth to yet another charming small-town series filled with hope, love, and happily ever after.

Another terrific romance with the fantastic Frazier Falls backdrop and wonderful characters in city gal, Emily and hunky grouch, Eli. Isn’t a snow storm a wonderful Mother Nature event? Especially when it throws the would-be lovers together and the sparks fly. Fabulous writing, a sexy couple, small town family and friends and the hot Cooper brothers makes this a spectacular read. Can’t wait for the next story in the series.

What happens when a city woman and a small-town man meet? Fireworks, attraction, love? Eli Cooper handles the financials for Cooper Construction, a firm owned by him and his two brothers. The Green House Project has made the firm even more prosperous as interest in the project has grown. Emily Flanagan is an urban planner for Los Angeles and arrives in Frazier Falls to care for her sick mother. Frazier Falls is not for her, she loves LA, the job and the money that helps supplement her mother’s income. The first meeting of Eli and Emily does not go well as she is snippy and he is sarcastic. At each meeting, the sparks continue to fly between, but when the town is snowed in and Eli comes to the rescue, can these two admit that they have more in common than they thought? Another heartwarming insight in to the Cooper brothers and the women they come to love. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
A phenomenal new story from Kelly Collins in the Frazer Falls series about self discovery and moving on from the past. Eli co-owns a construction company with his brothers, who wants to settle down with a family of his own. Emily works for a corporate company in California, yet has an ill mother but hates small towns. Shelter Me is a well written heartwarming story filled with wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I really hope Carla’s brother gets his own story too.

I really enjoyed reading about Eli and Emily, they certainly didn’t get along with each other at first. This is the second book in this series and I am looking forward to reading more about the brothers.

Shelter Me is book two in the Frazier Falls series and is a sweet small town love story. In this book we get Eli and Emily’s journey of love. While in Frazier Falls visiting her mother who suddenly becomes ill Emily meets Eli. It wasn’t exactly a great first meeting but they sure do grow on each other and end out realizing they have a lot in common. I loved the journey of love these two go on to get their HEA. Great writing, believable characters and a beautiful love story make this a must read.
I love when a book has a feisty and sassy woman – do not forget the wonderful meddling mother! This book is about Eli and Emily. Eli is the second Cooper brother and the one that is not ready to settle down as there is no time for a woman, but who is a perfect gentleman! Emily is in town to see her mother, Judy Flanagan, who has been sick but now is stuck there as the snowstorm does not allow her to fly back to California. The banter between both Emily and Eli is too much. He is only trying to be a gentleman and she is offended by it that she provides him with insults. She is determined to never need a man as her own father had given up on them, she intended to be like her mother – a strong independent woman! Eli is at his wits with this woman, but he always shows up when she needs him. I won’t say more but there is a huge scare in the book, but it allows for decisions to be made. I cannot wait to read about Pax because he is hoot!

Kelly’s books are wonderful romantic stories to read. The characters are well developed and easy to love and feel like close friends when you finish the book. The story line flows smoothly and her descriptions are rich and vivid the reader feels like they are right there in the story with the characters. So far I haven’t been disappointed with any of her work. Highly recommend.

When Emily Flanagan and Eli Cooper meet, they immediately fall out, and although Eli tries to be friendly, his actions aren’t well received by Emily.
Emily and her mother came from Ireland and she doesn’t like small towns, but she went to Frazier Falls to take care of her mother, whose health is not good, but she can’t wait to get back to Los Angeles. Eli, on the other hand, cannot imagine his life away from Frazier Falls.
The two continue to meet and the feelings begin to erupt and they decide to enjoy their time, even knowing that Emily will be gone as soon as the weather gets better. The moments they spend together are perfect and fun.
Will Emily be able to see that true love is worth more than some beliefs?
This is a great story with very interesting characters. I highly recommend the reading.
Shelter Me is the second book in the Frazier Falls Small Town Series. This was the first book I have read by this author and WOW I’m a fan! I loved the characters and their sassy banter to each other.
Emily Flanagan lives in Los Angeles and loves the city life and her job. She had grown up in a small town in Ireland and hated small town atmospheres, where everyone knew your business. She has come to Frazier Falls to check on her mom, Judy, who has poor health. She gets stuck in Frazier Falls due to bad snow storms, but she has no interest in getting to know anyone. She worries about her mother living so far away, but can’t convince Judy to move back with her to LA. Her first meeting with Eli Cooper was at the corner store when she was getting groceries and was not pleasant.
Eli Cooper liked living in Frazier Falls and worked with his brothers in their successful family construction business. He had no wish to live else where and no patience for someone who couldn’t appreciate small town life. After a surprise encounter in the forest, they both come to realize there is a spark between the two of them. But can two people with opposite life styles make a match and have a happy ever after?

Emily Flanagan has to return to Frazier Falls several times because her mom was ill. Her mother brought them to the states after her father got in trouble. Everyone knew their business and the snickers and gossip got the better of them.
Emily lives in the city so she hates to go home because of the weather that Frazier Falls has. It is cold and very snowy when she arrives so this puts her in a bad mood especially when she has to go to the store for supplies that she needs at her moms place. This is when she meets the most annoying man she has ever met.
Eli Cooper is the type of man that apologizes for nothing. He thinks he is all that and there is no one like him. He was at the towns store when he hears a woman talking to herself. As he investigates, she jumps all over him for ease dropping on her.
The two of them are put in several situations beyond their control. Will they fight it out and love each other or will they go their separate ways?

Most of the male population here are in diapers, both young and old.
“We all have secrets.”… “There’s a picture out there somewhere of me wearing a thong.” I laughed. “Women’s or men’s?” “Not sure. In all fairness, there was a lot of whiskey and a dare involved.”
Had I known taking you to a spa was all I needed to get you naked, I’d have suggested it the first time I saw you.
My Review:
This was a quick and satisfying small-town romance between two people who had irritated and annoyed each other upon first blush. Emily was a tough cookie and more than a bit prickly so it took considerable effort to warm up to her, although I enjoyed her snarky observations and humor. She gave and received good banter with Eli, who was also blessed with the gift of snark although his heart and edges were considerably softer and he was vastly more comfortable in his own skin. I’m enjoying Ms. Collin’s quirky Frazier Falls community almost as much as her beloved Aspen Cove series, although I sense my feelings will soon equalize with more familiarity.
I loved reading Eli’s story. I was glad to see him find someone after meeting him in Owen’s book. I love small towns like Frazier Falls and the different people that are close. I was surprised that Emily had never run into Eli the many times she visited her mother. I was surprised at how sarcastic she was about life in small towns. I would have loved to hear her Irish accent! Eli and Emily sure didn’t hit it off very good at first. They were sure good at giving each other digs. I know it had to be hard for Emily to want to be near her mother and take care of her. But, on the other side she needed to make money to take care of herself and her mother. It was nice watching Emily and Eli get to know each other and see how well they could get along. I am looking forward to Pax’s story. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
It was so well written and the characters were great. Their chemistry together was off the charts. I was in love by the end. I don’t want to give anything away but I would recommend reading this book. Kelly Collins is a new top favourite author of mine and a straight auto-buy too. look forward to reading more by her. Happy reading!!

This was an enjoyable read. This is the second story to the series. It can be read as a stand-alone but reading the first book first, you will have a better understanding of the complexity of the brothers relationship with each other. The dynamics is a great one that I thoroughly enjoyed in both books.
The brothers own Cooper Construction and it is focusing on Owen’s (the oldest brother) envision of the eco-friendly Green House Project. Eli is the accountant as well as one of the construction workers. He enjoys the beautiful environment that Frazier Falls offers. Unfortunately the town is in the mist of the worst storm in 30 years. Eli goes to the local store for provisions. There he runs into Emily Flanagan. Emily is a snarky visitor from LA. She is there visiting her ill mother and can’t wait to get out of the small town. The sparks between these two flare up right from the beginning due to Emily’s ungracious attitude towards Eli’s “gentlemanly” ways. He catches her from falling and hitting her head BUT he was the cause of her sudden movement to resulted in the fall.
The road to Eli and Emily’s HEA is a road that shouldn’t be missed. There were times that were hilarious and others that were heart-wrenching. These two go through the wringer that is for sure. I have adored all of the brothers right from the beginning. Having this story in a dual POV format really brings more depth to Eli that we couldn’t get in the first story. Also it helped to really bring Emily into a positive light for me.
This book is a little sexy but the “bedroom” scenes were highly glossed over in a manner-of-speaking. There was nothing of great detail BUT that being said, I highly recommend this story to anyone over the age of 18.
I can’t wait for Paxton’s story and I hope Rich (Carla’s brother) get a story as well.
A small town story that’s full of drama, romance and a touch of humor. A case of opposite attraction. Two characters with different lifestyles and dreams face lots of conflict and attractions to realize their HEA.
Eli and Emily did not have the best first meeting arguing inside and outside of Wilkes Corner Store. But their interactions in this book were pretty funny. The view from the hill they later sat upon looking over Frazier Falls sounds beautiful. Frazier Falls has a hometown we care about our neighbors feel that I would love to visit. I loved Emily’s Irish accent. Ireland is another place I’d love to visit someday. This was a funny, sexy romance, and a few times scary dealing with Emily’s ill mother, a broken down car, and snowstorms.
Book 2 of the Frasier Falls series. Emily comes to Frasier Falls only to visit her ailing mother and does not understand what she sees in the small town, being a city girl, and loving the convenience of a large town. When her mother needs some taking care of she spends a little more time than before in Frasier Falls and meets Eli Cooper. After a rough beginning they discover that they have more in common than she could ever have imagined.
A sweet love story, with the catch that someone needs to realise what is important in life, and that home is, where your heart pulls you..
A Hallmark-like story, entertaining and believable.
