When Ethan Blaise became Fire Chief at Station Seven, he set aside any ideas of having a relationship outside of work, let alone marrying and starting a family. He had one at the station house. While attending the wedding of one of his own firefighters, he finds himself inexplicably drawn to the woman catering the event. Warm and giving, she calls to a part of his soul that has been dormant for … for too long.
Making and keeping a date isn’t easy when you’re on call at all hours of the day for emergencies, but he’s determined to try because she’s everything he’s ever wanted and never knew to ask for. Falling for her is only too easy, having a relationship? Well, that’s hard.
Viviana Martenz has shouldered burdens alone for so many years. Raising her daughter on her own and struggling to make ends meet, she’s never stopped giving to others in honor of those who have helped her along the way. Becoming a caterer was an accomplishment supported by so many friends along the way and she’s determined to make it work. There’s no time or need for anything else, until she meets Ethan. In one amazing man, she finds a silver fox with a heart of gold.
Even with their crazy schedules keeping them apart, they find whatever time they can to see each other, building on the connection they feel.
When a part of Viviana’s past pushes back into her life, will Ethan be the rock she can lean on? Can Ethan get past her determination to conquer obstacles alone?
Don’t bet on the Chief of Station Seven to remain a bachelor for long. Not when his heart and soul have given Shelter for Viviana.

Another silver haired handsome hero!! I love these stories with mature characters. Ethan and Viviana are both not looking for a relationship but when Viviana caters a wedding with the fire department in attendance Ethan takes notice. The chemistry between the two leading characters is super charged but work keeps interfering. Viviana’s daughter is behind the scenes helping the fates align and encouraging them both. When she is thrown into danger, sparks fly! Literally. Chief Blaise knows what he wants and he pulls out all the stops to win Viviana and protect her as well as her daughter. Fantastic story that makes me want book#4!
A second chance story that will take you on an emotional ride as you experience lots of chemistry and intense situations. Love the well developed story line and the interesting characters especially Viviana (she is one awesome lady) and everyone should have an Ethan in their life. I found this story to be one I couldn’t put down till I finished – its definitely a page turner story. Loved it and highly recommend.
I don’t know if there’s spelling errors or what because my kindle read it to me….nothing noticed. What I can say is that it was a really sweet story with a back story similar to my own….single parent working multiple jobs to support my kids. A less than supportive ex who had no time for his kids. Along comes a gentle man who wants to help raise them. This story really hit that space in my heart. I didn’t want the story to end; I wanted to see the wedding. I don’t know what happened to Craig. Did he go to jail?
The characters in this book were so believable. Vivian was incredibly strong. I want her for my best friend.
This book was gifted to me by the author in return for an honest review.
Shelter for Viviana (Police and Fire:Operation Alpha by Reina Torres is hot, sexy, steamy, romantic and best of all has a fire captain who is a silver fox! This is a fast read, because once you start reading you will not want to put it down. It also will have you sitting on the edge of your seat when someone is put in danger and a young, rookie fireman says he can save her. Reina, your books never fail to pull me into the story and make me “feel.” This is a must read for anyone who like firemen, suspense and romance. Reina delivers all three tied up with a pretty bow.
This is part of the Police and Fire: Operation Alpha series. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was very entertaining and there was enough excitement to keep you interested in reading it until the end. Ethan is Fire Chief at Station Seven and he’s set aside the thought of love and marriage. Then Viviana enters the picture. It was so fun watching the two of them interact with each other and Viviana’s daughter. If you are looking for a great read, then you need to get this one. It’s so good! I can’t wait to read more of this author’s books.
