After catching her husband in a compromising position, Finley Granger finds herself in a new hell: reentering the dating world. When she moves in with her grandmother, her great-aunt, and their best friend, Finley finds herself surrounded by a trio of well-meaning yet bumbling matchmakers.
In spite of their efforts, Finley only has eyes for one person, and that’s Zeke Masters—the 6’4”, impossibly … impossibly built, and ridiculously good-looking new man in town. Along with her nether regions, Finley’s journalistic spidey-senses tingle as to why he’s on sabbatical from Seattle. Is he on the lam or escaping a bad breakup? What’s his story?!?!
As Finley finds herself reluctantly drawn to the gorgeous IT guy, she can’t help but wonder: should she indulge in a rebound tryst with the mysterious Zeke, or has she finally met her match?

“Sometimes the search for who you are can lead you to find your other half.” Incredible Read! Highly Recommend!
Finley leaves Atlanta quite upset over the end of her marriage, she heads home to Green Valley to stay with her grandmother, godmother, and aunt until she can get back on her feet. While she wants to nurse her broken heart, her family has other ideas and she finds herself interviewing for a new job and meeting a whole group of people she is excited to call friends. She also meets Zeke, a sexy nerd and the very swoon worthy IT guy for the library. His nerdy ideas of fun might just be what it takes to get Finley to open her heart again. I loved Finley and Zeke together. This was a fun & sexy read and you will absolutely love it.
Finely wanted to surprise her husband but she ended up the surprised one. Now she is back in Green Valley piecing her life back together she she meets Zeke. Sometimes when life closes a door it opens a much better one. I couldn’t put this book down!
It was such a sweet and simple love story. I definitely recommend this story, this series, and this author.
If you are looking for a feel good book look no further than Katie Ashley’s Shelf Awareness.
We meet Finley Granger a woman who thought she had everything a great job, a happy marriage but what she never realizes is everything she knows is not true so the only thing to do is go back to her hometown of Green Valley and try and move on with her life.
Zeke Masters is a man who has come to Green Valley to find answers to some questions he’s looking for , he’s also volunteering at the local library helping out where they need him but what he never expects to find is one Finley Granger.
Finley & Zeke are two people that can’t seem to help the attraction they feel towards the other and watching them come together is so much fun to watch. Seeing Finley step out of her comfort zone and letting Zeke help her through it all is Amazing.
Even though this is Zeke & Finley’s story you can’t help fall in love with Gram Bea, Dot & Estelle three very special ladies not only in Finley’s life but the whole town of Green Valley.
I loved this one! I just loved how the whole story played out. A bit unexpected in some parts and it was funny too! Cute ending.

I was so excited to read this story, part of the new Smartypants Romance series, organized by Ms. Penny Reid, who’s writing I adore. I was happy to see that Ms. Ashley would be part of this amazing group of writers to expand on the ‘Pennyverse’. I was thrilled to spend time in Green Valley again with several references to people and places from Ms. Reid’s Winston Brothers series.
Finley starts out the story with a major life shift and her GramBea encourages her to visit her in Green Valley. Her aunt Dot and godmother Estelle live with GramBea so it’s an entertaining mix of deep Southern culture, non-traditional relationships, crazy mixed-up matchmaking, and family love.
When Finley is offered a position at the Green Valley Library, she starts to become more enthusiastic as she realizes she will be working with historical documents and also have time to write. She’s only been separated from her husband for a short time but when she meets Zeke Masters, a volunteer IT specialist, they both feel a connection. I enjoyed the Indian heritage aspect, which was interesting to me as I also have Indian blood.
The story has so many hilarious situations and conversations, I laughed out loud numerous times. There was a little angst, a little mystery, and some exceptionally steamy interactions!
I highly recommend this new work from Ms. Ashley.
A cute read about finding yourself after your life falls to pieces. Characters are adorable. The setting is wonderful (I live in East TN). You will enjoy yourself as you dig into this book.
