The long-awaited conclusion to the series that brought you NUDES (“passionate, emotional, and uplifting!” – #1 NY Times Bestseller Lauren Blakely) and BARE (“heartfelt and sexy!” – USA Today Bestselling Author Kate Meader), a young singer with stars in her eyes falls for a composer whose sordid background might strip them bare. Grant Mercer is on the run from his secrets… from his secrets…
This was supposed to be an easy assignment—travel halfway across the globe and compose the musical score for an upcoming Hollywood movie by one of the biggest production companies in Los Angeles. One and done like dozens of times before. I wasn’t supposed to have my entire life crumble around me the moment my plane took off. I wasn’t supposed to meet her.
Intriguing and covered in ink, Simone enters my life like a storm, leaving only heartbreak in her wake. I should keep my distance. Hell, she should keep hers. Instead, we did the exact opposite.
Simone Reynolds is mending a broken heart…
Just months after finaling in one of television’s most watched singing competitions, I should be riding the high of my life. I should be celebrating starring in a musical film predicted to rock the box office. It’s hard to bask in my success when my family is suffering a loss we never saw coming. And then there’s Grant—brooding and rugged and an absolute pain in my ass as he messes with my movie.
He’s as broken as I am, but the perfect harmony is only a leap of faith away.

We’re back with the 3 Reynolds sisters. The final book is about Simone. She’s the tattoed baby of the family. Her passion is music. She just came out 3rd in a TV music casting show and now she’s got the lead in a Hollywood music film.
Enter Grant. He’s been flown in from New Zealand to compose the music.
It’s insta mega attraction on both sides. But Grant has a lot of ex-wife and legal bagagge.
And it also won’t be easy to start a new relationship while working together. So we might just do a casual one-month thing …..
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SIMONE & GRANT??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
Well…. that was a cute little thingy!
I was really excited to read Simone’s story. I loved the first book and the second book was also pretty good. This third book was pretty good too. It was a cute little Hollywood Music Romance, but it was just too short. There was not enough of everything for my tastes, no developments, no chance for feelings to grow, or even start to grow. The book ends at the 90% mark and the 20% before that are just Epilogue. I love a good epilogue – and it was really good here – but it made the book even shorter than it already was.
BUT – as I said before – it was a cute romance with some sexy moments and some moving and sad and exciting moments. And I really liked the epilogue for the whole series!
SHEER was an adorable & sexy final book in this series. Run to your nearest amazon to get your own Grant with his sexy New Zealand accent!
Just like with the other two books, I didn’t like the cover. First of all I don’t like the red and black color combination. It looks like a psychological erotica thriller. And the femme fatale look that cover girl’s got going? Not Simone. Yup, she’s got ink, but she’s sweet and shyish and not that. Just like her sisters were not at all like those girls on the cover! I would never buy those books if I had to insta-judge them by cover in a book store! And another tiny little thing, which I hope will be fixed in the final book. Time and timeline problems. So many weird times. Something was yesterday and two pages later the same something mentioned on the same day was ‘days ago’. And then some other things that were weeks ago and then it was months and … it was a bit confusing!
Sheer
Will his past ruin their future
The final book in the Exposed trilogy and it didn’t disappoint, beautifully written Simone and Grants story pulls you in. Their relationship journey isn’t easy but worth the lows and the highs. I loved that the Kavanagh’s another of Sarah’s series gets a mention in this book
Highly recommended this series
(3.5-3.75 stars)
The EXPOSED series concludes with Simone and Grant’s story. As the baby of the family, Simone has always been the one to take care of everybody else. When she meets Grant, he shows her it’s ok to put herself first. Even though SHEER may be my least favorite out of the three, it is still a very good series and I strongly recommend picking up anything by Ms. Robinson. The series epilogue was beautiful and will leave you with fullness in your heart.
Review in Exposed boxed set.
Sheer is the final act in the story of the Reynolds women. Simone has her part to play. The singing siren seems to have met her match in the music composer.
I liked the idea of this story more than the execution. It came off as rushed and a means to an end. I felt like Simone was being pushed to a conclusion.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Exposed series by Sarah Robinson and Sheer was a great way to finish it off.
I liked Simone and Grant a lot – though I must admit, at first, I wasn’t sure that I was gonna be a fan of our leading man.
Their connection and attraction was not a given following their initial meeting but when they did get together they were HOT!!! They had fun, worked hard and didn’t let their relationship get in the way of the film they were involved in but the one thing that bugs me massively is the biggest issue they had – lack of communication… well, actually, Grant was the one with the communication problem (but, as always, if we didn’t have that plot device we wouldn’t have the angst that came with it!)
I love catching up with the other Reynolds sisters and those epilogues were fantastic!
A solid 4 star read and one I’d happily recommend you read – but do go through the series in order!
We’re finally getting Simone’s story, and it’s a doozy!
Simone is the tattooed, passionate child in her family. She’s been cast as the lead actress/singer in a new film and Grant has been hired as the composer. Their first meeting is just as dramatic as their soon to develop relationship – he saves her from a serious fall, but she’s a little less than grateful when he opens his mouth and nothing but snark comes out. Of course that snark is just masking their huge attraction, and soon they’re falling into a hot one night stand that will become a month-long tryst, then much, much more.
But it won’t be easy because Grant has baggage in the form of an ex-wife who took all his money, took his best friend, and has him literally on the run from the New Zealand authorities. And when Simone finds out he hasn’t informed her of his baggage? Let’s just say she doesn’t handle it well.
I’ve really liked this whole series, and am so glad it concluded with such a great story. Simone and Grant are one of those couples you just want to know and befriend. They’re passionate and fun together, and I loved seeing Simone man up and rescue her man!
Overall, I generally enjoyed the story of SHEER, but there were a few things that kept me from loving it. SHEER is the third installment to the Exposed series. It’s definitely a low angst and quick read.
I’ve been curious to hear about Simone and Grant’s story, they were able to hit it off right away and found themselves in a casual thing since Grant was only around temporarily. With Grant withholding a pretty big secret, I wasn’t looking forward to the aftermath of it all. I loved how Simone was firm in what she believed in and wanted, she knew that she was worthy of everything good in her life. Even though what she had with Grant would be temporary, she still went in any way and took it one day at a time. I think neither one of them expected their feelings to quickly grow for one another, so I was curious to see how they’d make it work. I really loved how deep their emotions were for each other and as days passed by, I was getting nervous for when they’d have to say good-bye. I kept screaming, just communicate and find a way to make it work!
I wish the book was a bit longer, so there would be more development in their relationship. I didn’t mind the insta-love between them, just wanted to see more of the romance as we watched their relationship grow. There were some time jumps in there that gave me pause, but not enough to really hinder my reading experience. Once Grant’s huge secret was revealed, it kind of went quickly from being resolved and then being OK with it. It always felt like he was forgiven a bit too quickly.
Sarah Robinson fans and fans of this series will still enjoy this story!
Finally, the last book on the Reynolds women! Simone is the little sister of Aria (NUDE) and Teagan (BARE), and now she has her turn. After many years attending to her family, she’s now about to start her career. She won third place in the “American Voice” contest but was a clear audience favorite. She’s now slated to lead in a musical re-do that will be filmed live. If she aces this project, then her next step will be Broadway.
Grant Mercer is newly arrived from New Zealand. He’s a world-class known music score writer and he’s been hired to update the music for the film that Simone will star in. When they meet, Simone is hanging upside down from a white silk, rehearsing one of the scenes for the film. She falls and Grant catches her but then gets blasted for breaking her concentration. The start of a great romance!
After some bickering and posturing, they got right on with their affair, but Grant was hiding a secret. Grant’s past life still had a lot of unfinished business and he was not free to pursue a relation. Nevertheless, they ran hot until they didn’t.
Grant had to face his problems and deal with them and Simone had to deal with her reluctance to be all-in with a man, caused by past failures. The love story was lovely, if a little predictable, and it was a great read. The feelings this couple had for each other were too much not to make them work to succeed as a couple. I loved seeing the sisters with their families, and watch as they deal with the loss of their father and help their mother overcome such a tragic loss.
Sheer is the third and final book in the Exposed trilogy about the Reynolds family from Sarah Robinson. Each books focuses on one of the Reynolds sisters and with Sheer, we finally get the youngest sister Simone’s story.
I really enjoyed Sheer and recommend it to readers who love fast-paced romances. Simone and Grant have a connection pretty much from the moment they meet. While it was not your typical meet-cute, I did laugh out loud at how they met. I liked them as a couple but did think Simone should have asked more about Grant’s past and he should have been more forthcoming.
Grant and Simone had amazing chemistry pretty much from the start and only grew hotter the more time they were together. Seriously some smoking hot sex scenes from the very first, and it totally worked for this couple. I have to say I enjoyed them getting to know each other along the way but again felt like Simone shared way more than Grant every did and won’t lie about it bothering me some as I read the story. I had a feeling it might come back to haunt him later and wasn’t surprised when it did. While I completely agreed with Simone’s anger and actions initially, I have to say she totally kicked butt when needed to help Grant out in a major way.
Sheer wrapped up the Reynolds family saga perfectly. I especially loved we got to see Simone interact with all of her family and even better we were given a gift of seeing this family in the future. Sarah Robinson was a new to me author before this series, and now she is on my auto-buy list of authors. Again, she writes really fast-paced, sexy, and emotional romances that end up being like crack once you start reading.

I really enjoyed Simone’s story. This book really brought everything together for me. Oh and once Grant enters the picture things really start to heat up.
4.75 Stars for Sheer. This final book about the youngest Reynolds sister hit all the right notes for me. This series really has worked on all levels, from the first chapter of Nudes to the series epilogue. In Sheer we get Simone as she’s finding her own success thru music after years of putting her family first. When she meets the somewhat broody Grant Mercer she takes a chance at living for herself. The gorgeous Kiwi has met his match in the sassy Simone, and despite his past he can’t help but take a chance with her. Together they come alive, and man did their chemistry burn white hot!
Grant Mercer seems to have his work cut out for him. Simone Reynolds is starting a new career. She’s in a musical that I actually had the chance to see – I loved watching musicals growing up. My problem comes when they do the live version. I have certain expectations, having watched the original, and a lot of the live shows don’t meet them. With this book I want to go back and watch Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson – I may have had a crush on Mr. Keel growing up. Once I finish the movie I would reread this book.
As I think about what I just said, I could picture Keel and Grayson as Grant and Simone. That would be another reason to revisit the movie. I wonder how they would feel about stepping into those roles.
There’s a reason that Grant is on U.S. soil and that mystery caught my attention. I’ve never watched The Voice, and any of its competitors, but I can almost picture Simone as an ingénue. We get to see her blossom as the story moves forward. But Grant seems to say one thing and then goes off and does something else – maybe it’s because of the business they’re in. It shows how crazy it can be. Makes me glad that I never had any aspirations of being in the limelight. But just like in true Hollywood fashion, things end happily for everyone.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Sheer is the third and final book in the Exposed Series from Sarah Robinson.
Grant Mercer is on the run from his secrets. This was supposed to be an easy assignment-travel halfway across the globe and compose the musical score for an upcoming Hollywood movie by one of the biggest production companies in Los Angeles. One and done like dozens of times before. I wasn’t supposed to have my entire life crumble around me the moment my plane took off. I wasn’t suppose to meet her. Sheer is about the youngest Reynold’s sister Simone. Simone is just finding her own success through music. She has always put her family first and is now focusing on herself and her career. This brings her face to face with Grant and he is a broody one for sure. However the sparks fly for these too and this book is filled with passion and heat. These two are certainly smoking hot and this book was a really good ending to this series. I loved every second of it.
4 STARS FOR SHEER!! Another great story in the Exposed series. Grant and Simone’s story is broken, but beautiful. Their story has all the feels and will keep you flipping pages. I believe this is one book and series any romance read will want to 1-Click.
Simone is the youngest of the Reynolds sisters and the last to get her HEA, she’s been through a lot recently and honestly finding a man to share her life is the absolute last thing on her mind. Grant Mercer, well what can I say about him….he’s left his home in New Zealand to work on a Project for Ben Lawson, Simone’s Brother-In-Law, but there is much more to the reason why he has left. The Exposed series shows us that things aren’t always the way they meet the eye, there is much more to the story and when things are finally EXPOSED only then can come truth, healing, love, and oh so much more.
I really enjoyed Simone and Grant together, they had amazing chemistry and really heated up the sheets. But it was more than that too, they had fun together, doing things on their Bucket Lists, going out on dates, working together…well you get the picture. They were constantly together and they liked being with one another so it was inevitable that their temporary arrangement would turn into something more.
This has been a great series/trilogy and I am sad that this is the final book. Thank you to the author that gifted us with not only one epilogue for the book with Simone and Grant but a second for the series itself which was set five years in the future and gives us a peek into what is happening in all three of the sisters lives, it also gives a little mention to MMA star Rory Kavanagh if you have read Breaking a Legend this little tidbit will make you smile. I recommend this series to just about everyone, especially if you enjoy strong female characters that know what they want and do what needs to be done in order to get it. Happy Reading!!!
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
3.75 stars–SHEER is the third and final instalment in Sarah Robinson’s contemporary, adult EXPOSED erotic, romance series focusing on the Reynolds sisters. This is singer and Broadway actress Simone Reynolds, and composer Grant Mercer’s story line. SHEER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s Kavanagh Legends series.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Grant and Simone) SHEER follows the building relationship between music composer Grant Mercer, and singer Simone Reynolds. New Zealand compos Grant Mercer had been hired to write the score for Simone’s upcoming live performance of Kiss Me Kate. Recently divorced and facing an on-going scandal that threatened both his personal and public life, Grant had no intentions of ever falling back in love but meeting his leading lady gave Grant hope if only for a little while. Offering but a few weeks together Grant and Kate enter into a whirlwind romance that is quickly shut down when duty calls. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Grant and Simone, and the potential fall-out as Grant’s past intends to destroy his life.
SHEER is a story of family, love, secrets and lies. Grant’s personal continues to spiral out of control and without the necessary information and whereabouts of his ex-wife Grant faces an uncertain future upon his return to New Zealand. Simone never expected to fall in love especially with a man who claims he has no interest in a long-term relationship. Separated by weeks and miles, Simone struggles with her emotions especially when information reveals that Grant hasn’t been forthcoming about his life back home.
The relationship between Simone and Grant begins acrimoniously as our couple go head to head with the upcoming production. Grant likes Simone’s sexy and sassy attitude, and Simone finds herself falling for the eminent music composer. The $ex scenes are passionate and intimate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The colorful and charismatic secondary and supporting characters include Simone’s sisters and their other husbands; Grant’s ex-wife Serena, and Simone’s temporary boyfriend Jax.
The world building focuses on Simone’s career, and her relationship with Grant but the jumps in time skip weeks to months wherein the reader is left to our own imaginations.
SHEER is a spicy and spirited read. The premise is engaging but the quick conflict resolution is disappointing- there was no build up or reveal as to the how and why; the romance is realistic and provocative; the characters are dynamic and energetic.
3.75 Stars
I really enjoyed Aria and Teagan’s stories Nudes and Bare, but for some reason Simone’s story didn’t resonate with me. Her story felt rushed and I wasn’t able to really connect with her or Grant.
Overall the story was solid but there wasn’t enough personal development for the characters for me to truly feel invested in how their story turned out.
It ended up just being ok for me.
Grant Mercer is a composer and is writing the score for Kiss Me, Kate. He has left his home in New Zealand due to legal troubles and is hoping to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible while in the US.
Simone Reynolds is hoping her staring role in Kiss Me, Kate will allow her a chance at a staring role in Broadway. She has goals in mind and she is not prepared to get off track with a relationship.
When Simone and Grant meet sparks fly and the two soon find themselves together, knowing that they will only have one month together before work obligations push them apart. But at the end will one month be enough and when Grant’s past catches up with him will he be willing to give everything up if it comes down to it?
This is such a great book and I am really sad that all of the sisters are done! This family definitely needs to adopt!!
I really liked Grant and I was horrified what happened to him and how he got used so badly. I was shocked at what Serena did to him and I was blown away at how she set him up. I was actually surprised that Grant got involved with Simone after how badly he was burned in the past.
I really liked Simone and thought she was a great character. You could tell how caring she was of her family and her mom. I was a little mad at Simone with what happened with Jax but I did understand why as she had been hurt by Grant.
There were definitely some tense moments in their relationship and I wondered what was going to happen with a few of the ups and downs.
I was shocked at the decision that Andrew and Grant came to and I was freaking out a little with everything!! I was so proud of Simone for what she did for Grant!!
I was so excited at the end and I really loved how it all turned out although I am super sad that this series is ending!!
Wounded hearts get a chance to heal. Robinson takes the broken and makes them whole. The beauty of the Exposed series is that images can be deceiving. There’s drama under the surface waiting to bubble over. It’s how the people handle the fallout that makes the stories so intriguing. Sheer is the beginning of the end for an unforgettable series. As Grant and Simone find their way in the industry of bright lights and heartache, each tackles hard knocks in their personal lives and insecurities in their professional ones. The fault in our stars is that we all have flaws. It’s the lessons we learn and the peace we find from working through them, that helps us become who we’re meant to be. Gritty, sensitive and inspiring tale.
