⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Psychologically complex and gripping … Zachary must deal with his own psychological issues as well as those of the child’s parents along with attempts on his life. I’m binge reading this series.
Zachary Goldman, Private Investigator, is flawed with a capital F. Shattered by the tragedies of his own life, he will somehow still manage to pick himself up and dig just a little bit deeper than anyone else to find the vital clues.
Maybe being broken makes it easier for others who have faced tragedy to trust him. Walk with Zachary as he solves cases that will stretch his abilities to the limit.
Even with his own life in shambles, Zachary Goldman is still the one you want on the case.

Hard to really care about main character. He seemed very depressed and on the verge of taking his own life for most of the book.
I liked this book enough that I immediately bought the second in the series and am reading it now. I love Zachery, with his insecurities and compassion for others.
Terrible story. I don’t know why I finished it.
Enjoyed a good read.
I didn’t hate it and would try another book by this author but this seemed a little disjointed at times, or maybe too unemotional considering the subject matter. It made OCD people seem Incapable of having a normal life and normal feelings. I don’t know if that was the author’s intentions but that’s how I interpreted it.
As many suspects as incidents. Good who done it.
WoW! Had to read late into the night to finish it, couldn’t put it down.
Excellent read
I really enjoyed this book. The story delves deep into parents’ minds. Fascinating, but sad ending.
A little slow in places but I enjoyed it.
Could not continue reading it. kept skipping pages to see if it got better but never did. deleted it.
Very entertaining and surprise ending.
This is a well written book. The author did a fine job of keeping me interested until the end. The subject matter was kind of sad though, so it was not really a book I enjoyed. I would read another book by this author.
as i read the struggles of the characters in this story i became aware of how difficult life is for people who are OCD. i could not put this book down, finishing at 2:12 AM on a work night! so my advise it to start earlier or read this book on the weekend!
Just couldn’t put it down. It keeps you guessing. It really is a page turner.
This was a very intriguing book. It kept you wondering about the male lead’s past. An interesting look at people’s issues and acceptance.
Very touching. I learned a lot about OCD.
An OCD story written by an OCD writer. Learned a lot about Obsessions.
Not the run of mystery, keeps you guessing
This is the introduction of a new unlikely PI. Zach carries such heavy personal burdens, that it’shard to understand how he can cope with problems and sorrows of others.. He takes the case of a five year old, found dead in a local pond. The police rule it accidental. But the grandmother isn’t so sure. The parents are a study in mental abnormalities. If it wasn’t accidental, than the killer has to be an outsider who acted on impulse. Or was it? Lots of twists and turns. Great writing. Good charcternaztion. I look forward to more in this series.
