Her husband is dead. Her daughter doesn’t speak. The town she’s raised her child in is being set aflame and nobody knows who is responsible or why.
Sherry is alone, facing her worst fears while the town pulls together to keep everyone safe. She prays the culprit will be found before it’s too late, but her instincts predict otherwise.

She Only Speaks to Butterflies is a very moving story about a widow and her daughter who no longer speaks after the accident that her father has come to live. It is heart-warming to see how the entire village loves around them and through this difficult period. The despair and worries that the mother has to her daughter are very realistic. A book what touched your Hear
A very expressive small town with strong characters. Some characters are very color ful and loudspoken and a bit abrasive. I loved the butterfly theme and seeing Denise start to flourish with the addition of someone new in her life. Watching Lee and Sherry together was good also.

This book introduced me to Sandra Appleyard and I know I will continue to read her stories. This is a book about love lost, mystery, a child’s trauma, and a single mother whose faith and friends help her get to the other side. I actually cried while reading this. It will pull at your heartstrings. I received this as an ARC and am so grateful to be introduced to this author.
This is a well written book that is full of emotions. Once you start reading, you don’t want to stop. I look forward to the next book in this series.
So well written, wonderful characters and a beautiful story line. You’ll have a hard time putting this one down once you start. There’s tragedy, drama, love, hope, survival and of course romance. This is the first book by this author that I have read but it won’t be the last!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Book one in the Meaningful Suspense Series. This is a new Author to me. The story centers around seven-year-old Denise her Mother and the new fireman, Lee and the rest of the town’s peoples. A good story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Beautifully written storyline with wonderfully created characters that kept me turning the pages until the very end! This was the first book that I have read by this author and it definitely will not be the last!
What a wonderful book. Awesome book. Awesome writer.
I had a hard time putting this book down. So wonderfully written, then pages just kept turning. There are so many emotions in this story it was hard not to feel them along with the characters. First time with this author, but I sure hope it isn’t the last. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
She Only Speaks to Butterflies – This is my first read by this author and I like the story. While there is a lot of sadness in the storylines, the reader is not mired down in a lot of heartbreaking emotions.
All the emotions are between the covers; bad or sad events are acknowledged and the emphases are on love, survival, community, friends and second chance. God plays a large part in the lives of all involved, which adds more depth to this story.
The author’s vivid storytelling paves a wonderful path through the lives of these good characters and their journeys.
Interesting. Intriguing. Heartwarming. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
