Melissa Foster has done it again with this book. I, along with other readers, have been waiting for Piper’s story. And, it did not disappoint!! I was hooked from page one and devoured each word, each page as I entered into Piper & Harley’s world. This friends to lovers story does not happen instantly. It is one like riding a roller coaster. One minute you are laughing at their sparring then as the story takes a dive down the hill to another part, you’re crying as the walls are tumbling down to reveal hidden hurts and things that made them who they are now. You just feel all of their emotions…..the hurt, the vulnerability, the anger, the fear, the hope, the love, the acceptance, the tugs on the heart strings as the layers are peeled away. Their family and friends are there to help them with advice and encouragement as they make their way to their HEA. One of my favorite things in the story is The Mad House. How I wished I had one of those where you can just pound away at things till you’re not so mad anymore. This was such a wonderful story that I was sad when it ended. Thinking I might go back and read it again once I post this!!!
First off, I am a HUGE fan of Melissa Foster. I always look forward to the next book. From beaches to mountains, she does not disappoint me at all. When Melissa writes, you feel like you are right in the middle of the story line watching from the inside (well for most scenes)
Handsome Bar owner Harley and Hot construction worker Piper are best friends since High School. Move forward many years and Harley gets injured but is also caring for his two nieces while his sister is recovering from surgery. Who do you ask for help? Your best friend of course. Piper to the rescue. Harley ALWAYS loved Piper. Piper was it for him, hook, line and inker. However, Piper never knew this. They never took it from friends to lovers. While taking pain killers, Harley professes his love for Piper. Piper was wondering if this was the truth or the pain killers talking.
To give a fast synopsis of the story would be .. they were kids… the grew up… they fought.. the fell in love and Piper finally got her HEA!
Of course Piper calls for an emergency meeting at her sister’s bakery. If this is your first book in the series, you will learn Piper is a serious and I mean serious sugar junkie. How she maintains that fantastic figure makes you wonder. At this meeting you will get a glimpse of all the sisters, sister in laws and her BFF. All trying to give her advice all at once. Of course, you will find out her mom has made one of her famous love portions to throw into the mix. She always does. Read books 1 & 2 and you will see this. So, it is NOT unexpected. I would of been disappointed had this not been part of the book
After the meeting with the girls at the bakery and making sure all work the crew is working on, is on target, Piper goes back to Harley and figures out what the next steps are. Harley does his best to not intimidate Piper. Remember hee is a bad ass bar owner and she is a bad ass part owner of a construction company. 2 Bad asses in one room can only call for one thing.. denial, steam, panty melting and finally love. Oh.. let’s throw in some mother meddling.. both sides and there were a few twists and turns in the book too. I did NOT expect those twists and turns, but it sure did make for a fun read!!!
You will not be disappointed reading this fun, plot twisting, steamy romance!
Piper is the last one of the Dalton’s sisters without a partner, but she is not complaining… She has a full life with work, her friends at the bar and her family. However, Harley Dutch her longtime friend has a crush on her for forever and now it is his time to come forward and risk it all with her.
He is injured and needs Piper’s help not only physically but as well with his nieces that are temporarily living with him. She steps up to help and end up discovering all Harley’s feelings for her and she returns these feelings as well.
This is a lovely book about the ultimate single Dalton daughter and Melissa Foster mastered her words in the romance between these two wonderful souls.
This book is not a standalone since there are several characters from other books and for you to keep up it is best to read the other books, but it is a wonderful series and you will love them all!
I have been waiting for Piper’s story forever! Once I got this I couldn’t put it down because the relationship between Piper and Harley is just different from the other siblings. They have been there for each other and under all that banter you could see the sizzling chemistry waiting to burn. Most of the time I spent the whole book cursing Piper out and hoping she would see what was right in front of her. What I love about Melissa Foster’s books is that the other characters, family and friends, make the story as well as the couple. There’s meddling and some more potions and banter, and I just laughed.
This book was great. You have the fun-loving Dalton family and our friends we’ve met along the way and of course our hero and heroine, Piper Dalton and Harley Dutch. These two are such great characters plus they’ve been friends and there for each other for a long time. From the time Piper picked up Harley from the hospital, it was so fun to watch these two ‘flirt’ in their own way even though I might call it ‘sparring with words’. I appreciated that she just jumped right in there with Jolie and Sophie and of course I think Jiggs might have stolen the show, I mean how cute is he. I knew these two being more than friends was a possibility, but each had their own past baggage to overcome before they could even venture down the ‘more than friends’ road. I loved when she took the girls to ‘The Mad House’, I would personally like to go there and how she thought she didn’t know how to be there for the girls, but innately she really did. I appreciated her sisters being there for her like they always are and helping her to see past the self-doubt. I’m glad that Marshall is back but his story was very sad but made him the person he is today and now we have Ike in the picture as well as Annie’s Hope, definitely looking forward to see what happens next with both. This was a great story and all the baby news we found out about was awesome but the ending for Piper and Harley was perfect. These two never do anything the easy way. My favorite line from this book is, ‘battle wounds are to be worn proudly’.
Harley and Piper….what a story!! Piper is a woman after my own heart. She’s strong, independent, protective, and oh so loving. Piper has made up her mind about how she will live her life and refuses to waiver for anyone. Harley is a Big, cuddly, Bear of a man. You can’t help from want his to win. Any man who steps up to take care of his family and patiently wait for 3 years, is a good man. Foster did a great job bringing these characters together. I kept turning the pages because I couldn’t figure out in my head how it was all going to turn out. I laughed out loud more times than I could count. I also had tears in my eyes at the ending. I absolutely LOVED the epilogue. Seeing their HEA and what the future had in store for them, helped wrap the book up for me.
This book focused on Piper Dalton, a small in stature but big in words and actions contractor. As a business owner and leader of her crew she doesn’t take anything from anyone. Her friend for years is Harley Dutch, owner of Dutch’s bar. Harley had an accident at work and Piper is asked to help him out as he recovers. Piper has some ideas about herself and her future that are written in stone. Melissa Foster has written the most amazing story as Piper slowly transforms without losing herself. This book had some truly unexpected revelations. Melissa Foster provides strong characters and exceptional storylines in this five star read.
This is a friends to lovers story. Harley is a big, burly guy who would do anything for his family and friends. He is strong, dominant, sexy, and has such a huge heart. Piper is kick-ass, strong, sassy, hard-working, and caring. Harley has been patiently waiting for Piper to see him as more than a friend. She is quick to jump in and help him when he is injured, it is then he aggressively starts pursuing her. Piper keeps denying her feelings, believing she is not capable of being in love or good at relationships. I really wanted to shake her and knock some sense into her! Can Harley convince Piper that they have a future together?
This a fun, sexy yet emotional story with plot twists to keep you on your toes. I really enjoy Foster’s writing she can keep you engaged from the first page to the last page. Her characters are believable and lovable. This story is about family, love, and friendship and is definitely one to be enjoyed. Highly recommended. Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
From the very beginning of the Harmony Pointe series, I have waited for Piper Dalton’s book. Piper uses my favorite word a lot and isn’t comfortable all dressed up. Harley Dutch has kept his eye on Piper forever. The two are good friends. Harley hurts himself at the bar and Piper runs to his rescue. While on pain meds, Harley opens up to Piper and their world changes. She Loves Me is a wonderful friends to lovers story. The heat between these two was a long time coming. I laughed, I cried and I cheered for Harley & Piper. I f-love Melissa Foster and the way she weaves the lives of so many different families into her stories is fantastic. From the Daltons, the Bradens, the Whiskeys, the Montgomeries, the Wickeds and the Bads – Melissa has me hooked on books.
‘She Loves Me’ is the third book in the Harmony Pointe series by Melissa Foster, and for so long I have been excited for Piper’s story. She is strong, confident, sassy and has always been a character with a lot of depth, and this story completely had me. It took me on such a journey and in the end, a complete emotional rollercoaster, and I loved it!
When Harley Dutch injures himself and lands himself in the hospital, his mother calls upon Piper Dalton to pick him up.
Piper and Harley have been friends for what seems like forever, Harley always getting in the way of Piper’s dates, and Piper always drinking at Harley’s bar. But what Piper assumes has been friendly banter, has always had a different meaning for Harley, and when he is unable to walk and is drugged on pain meds, he grasps at the opportunity to spend more time with Piper and milk his injury.
But Piper is a hard woman to crack, she has put up metaphorical and literal walls and no man will ever change her. But what happens when one does without intention?
This story was just beautiful through and through. I loved everything from Piper’s sass and fun retorts, to the small touches of the father daughter dance and The Mad House. Foster knows how to take her readers on a journey whilst educating them on real life issues and problems, and that is why readers can connect to all of her characters so easily.
Piper is relatable as she doesn’t want to lose her identity from being in a relationship, and she fights against herself, whilst Harley is terrified of pushing the one he loves away. I adore both of these characters for their quirks, and their chemistry is undeniable.
In the ever expanding Harmony Pointe world, more characters are introduced for you to fall in love with, and it’s a book that enables you to catch up with those that we have already come to love. I adore Roxy and her magic potions, and I for one wish I could stock up!
This book is the perfect treat for all romance lovers, it can be read as a stand-alone, or as part of this amazing series, but it has everything from laughs, chemistry to some real heartfelt moments, and was the perfect read to inject some positivity at this difficult time.
She Loves Me is a friends to lovers romance which is told from the third-person point of view which can be read as a standalone or as the third novel in the Harmony Pointe series.
Piper had her heart broken years ago by Harley’s younger brother, Marshall, and put her walls up and has been a strong independent woman ever since. Working in a male-driven industry, Piper is not interested in becoming soft and hanging up her hammer and tool belt any time soon, no matter how much Harley flirts with her. After severely spraining his ankle, Harley is forced to rest until it gets better and when Piper is the one to pick him up from the hospital he feels this is the perfect time to make her realize that he has wanted her for years and that she should give him a chance to prove he is worthy of demolishing her walls for.
Melissa has done it again with another amazing novel that will tug at your heartstrings as well as have you laughing out loud. The witty and snarky banter between Harley and Piper will have you laughing out loud while the revelations will tug at your heartstrings. My favourite moment of the book was when I had my “ah-ha” moment when the title clicked and all I could picture was Harley and Jiggs dancing around singing “She loves me, she really loves me”, lol. Harmony Pointe has become my second favourite Melissa Foster series as there is always a point in the novels that sticks with you that you never forget and is dangerously close to knocking The Whiskeys: The Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor off that pedestal. Harley Dutch has officially tied Bear Whiskey as my favourite Melissa Foster character.

OMG I frickin loved this book. Harley and Piper made me so happy.
If I ever could relate to a female character in a book Piper is definitely that woman. I could understand everything that she went through and all her hung-ups. It’s really hard on a person feeling like she/he is missing something. And that is why I loved Harley ; he loved her for her and did everything to prove that he didn’t want to change her.
Melissa Foster has become one of my favorite authors and if she keeps bringing book like this one she will definitely because my favorite.

She Loves Me is a fantastic read. You will just love Piper and Harley. Piper is strong, independent and one of the guys. Harley is protective, caring and tired of waiting. I love the bond between Piper and Harley. You can just see their friendship grow to more. Once you find out why Piper is the way she is you feel for her. She is strong and you still see that romantic side of her. I love Piper and Harley together so much. He is exactly what Piper needs and isn’t afraid to put in the work and wait for her to get there. I couldn’t put this down. I loved every minute of Piper and Harley. By the time I was done reading this one my heart was just bursting with happiness. Melissa Foster has shown again why she is one of my go to authors when I’m looking for something to read.
Sassy, awesome chick. Check. Swoony, alpha male best friend. Check. Piper and Harley are best friends with a lot of sass between them. Harley takes all of Pipers sass in stride because, well, he wants more and has been super patient over the years to wear her down. Unknowingly, with some help from their matchmaking mothers. But when Harley hurts his ankle while watching his nieces while his sister is recovering, the best laid matchmaking plans get better when Piper is asked to get him from the hospital. These two are amazing characters and so made for one another. Their underlying friendship makes their love that much sweeter. Definitely another enjoyable, sweet and sexy read from Melissa Foster and a must read series!
I really liked Piper and Harley’s story, but I did struggle at times with Piper. She was a tough cookie, didn’t let anyone pigeon hole her into a stereotypical “girl” role, and I loved this about her. What I didn’t love about her was the fact that no matter how much her family and friends told her otherwise, she let a short term high school romance blind her to the fact that she did love, and loved deeply, judging by her actions.
This was my biggest complaint about the book. I think all the constant reassuring she needed extended the story a bit more than need be. I understand it builds drama and strife, and that ultimately it can make for a more satisfying and exciting HEA. But it’s also a gamble that might cost reads who are tired of a characters inability to just get over themselves!
Harley, on the other hand, I adored. He had the patience and love to wait Piper out. He knew what he wanted and he went after it. He might not have pushed her too hard or too quickly, but he wasn’t passive. He was definitely an alpha male, but a gentle one…that “bad boy” with the gooey center I gravitate towards.
While the heat level is high, I think it blended well with their relationship, both as friends then later as lovers. The one thing Melissa Foster does not skimp on is smexy times. In some of her books, it can overwhelm the story. Not in this book. I thought it was hot without being repetitive or unnecessary.
I’ve enjoyed this series for those reasons and more. I would definitely recommend She Loves Me to new and existing readers of Foster’s books. It can read as a stand-alone, but I would think most readers would still go back and read the others, even if they started here.
My thanks to Netgalley for the advance copy. My review was honestly and freely given
She Loves Me is an enjoyable friends to lovers story which features two unique characters. At first, Piper and Harley may seem like an unlikely couple—she’s a tough cookie with a NO commitment rule while Harley is a strong, determined man who loves his family. The couple’s off the charts chemistry and hilarious back and forth banter are spot on and make for a fun read!
Harley is taking care of his two nieces when he trips and severely injures his ankle. Piper rushes to the hospital to bring an injured Harley home and within minutes finds herself taking care of Harley, his two nieces and Jiggs, the family dog. …and maybe just maybe falling for Harley!
Although, She Loves Me is a sensuous contemporary, I feel that describing it that way doesn’t do it justice. Melissa Foster is known for writing smart, sexy protagonists. The multi-faceted Harley demonstrates the author’s ability to create characters who capture your heart from the first page of the book. Harley Dutch is an intelligent, confident, patient man who puts his family first. He’s been in love with Piper for ages. She sees him as a friend. I loved it that Harley used his ankle injury to win Piper’s over. He’s has been given an opportunity to win her heart and he uses it to his advantage!
Loved that Harley addressed Piper’s relationship issues—Piper’s confession resonated with me and gave so much insight into this complex heroine. Piper realizes that she sees Harley differently; she cares about him. Piper isn’t the tough characters that she appears to be—she’s got a soft spot in her heart for her sisters, her brother and their children. My favorite Piper scene? Piper and Jiggs (the dog) crashing into a sweet filled bakery…it was fabulous!
The conclusion to this novel is fast paced and well written. Harley has a compassionate heart to heart with a family member who reminds him to put himself first and not to waste a minute with Piper. Melissa Foster has a talent for writing the perfect HEA for her couples but, Piper believes in love, not marriage. Will that be enough for Harley? The books loveable characters and friends to lovers romance blend perfectly together in this feel good read.
If you are looking for a romance with a swoony hero and a sassy heroine-then She Loves Me is perfect for you!
Piper & Harley are wonderful! They have been best friends forever & neither of them wanted to risk losing that friendship to explore the attraction they felt. That is until Harley decided he’d had enough & pushed forward. He did everything he could to make Piper see that taking their relationship deeper wasn’t a risk. If he could only get Piper to see things his way! Piper stays stubborn as long as she can. Can they find a way to move forward?
Wow! Harley is unbelievable. The depth of his emotions & feelings come through the page. The narrative makes it easy to draw pictures of the scenes in your mind as you are reading. His patience was unbelievable. I’m glad the author had him realize how difficult this was for Piper & to see how honest she was in every interaction. She wasn’t trying to turn away from him but was trying to preserve what she felt was the best thing in her life. As you read, you felt her fear & pain & then finally her resolve. The only person she lied to was herself. While this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. Each book has the same cast of characters but each couples story is contained within the covers of their book.
So fun, sweet, entertaining, and sexy! This was charming, a best friends to lovers romance, that was filled with LOL funny, sweet and sassy banter, a lot of heart, and the perfect amount of heat. I was immediately hooked.
Harley Dutch and Piper Dalton have been best friends for a few years, since he returned home to Sweetwater. He loved being a pain in her butt, giving her grief about one thing or another, and scaring off her dates. They spent most nights with friends drinking at Harley’s Family pub. But he also had been keeping a secret from her and he knew it was time to set his plan into motion.
Watching Harley and Piper come together was fantastic. Piper has some demons and even though I wanted to throttle her early on, I loved watching her let down her walls through out the story. I swooned hard for Harley! Nothing like a man with a plan! He was just so sweet, sexy and tender and there was a lot of underlying emotion happening between them. I loved just how supportive and positive he was, they were just really good for each other. I thought that they were such fantastic characters and I loved all the tension between them. I also loved all the secondary characters that added so much to their story.
I loved this. So much. So very much! It was a fantastic mix of everything I adore in a story: humor, heart, and heat. Just when I think this series can’t get better, Melissa Foster ups her game and does it again.
Received an early copy in exchange for an honest review.
Piper and Harley are so not a typical couple, so of course they’re a perfect Melissa Foster couple. Seeing the two of them interact in other books, to finally get their story was worth the wait.
Piper is such a kick butt female, she doesn’t take any garbage from anyone, and she knew what she didn’t want, all until Harley needed help with his nieces.
And Harley… can I find a guy like him, please? Takes care of his family, takes his time, owns a business… And takes care of Jiggs.
These two will make you laugh and cry, have you reaching for donuts, and wondering how to get your own Foster hero.
I love Piper as the leading lady in this book. She doesn’t change who she is to be with the man. She is a strong independent woman. Harley is patient and is t afraid to let a woman take some control. He really is amazing. Harley and his family really go through a lot in this book. So glad Marshall ended up not being the villain. I loved all the little Dalton family updates at the end. When are Willow and Zane going to have a baby? I really hope in the future Kase and Delaney get their own books.
