What are two besties willing to risk for something more? Piper Dalton is true to any Foster heroine, she is feisty, strong and true to herself, but one thing sets her apart from the others, she is by far not a girly girl and she works in construction which lets face it is a predominate male world but she is fierce and holds her own. Harley Dutch is her best friend, and we all know that a friends lover story is just going to happen when ever Melissa put them together.
Piper ends up looking Harley after he hurts himself, and in his medicated stupor he confesses his love to Piper, this kinds throws her for a loop as she doesn’t need a man who will eventually want to change her, yet Harley isn’t looking to provide or care for her he respects how independent and strong she is and doesn’t want to change that for the world, he just wants her the way she is.
I loved watching Harley break down Pipers walls, he is a helluva catch for Piper and they are clearly made for each other. She Loves Me will have you swooning at Harley’s soft side, cheering for Pipers independence and also having you laughing and crying at the same time as the story goes on. This is another great book from Melissa in the Harmony Pointe series and I can’t wait to read more book about the host of new characters we meet in ever new book she writes
5 stars
Oh, Harley! You are amazing. He has had feelings for Piper for so long and has kept them guarded while waiting for Piper to see what is right before her eyes. Even while keeping his feelings to himself, he protects her, he helps her, and he sees her for the amazing woman she is. He doesn’t want to make her a girlie girl, he loves how self-sufficient she is, and he loves how well she can use her hands.
Piper, open your eyes girl! There was no doubt that she saw Harley for what he was but every other guy she’s dated has wanted her to change her as their relationship progressed and she has a fear of losing herself if she falls in love. Too bad Harley has other plans for them and she has no hope in keeping her heart to herself.
The honesty, the love, the friendships, and the fun are exactly what I was looking for. Harley and Piper are so perfect for each other and so in tune with each other. They know when to push when to pull, and when to step back. I so love this story. Melissa Foster wrote the perfect happily ever after.
As I’ve said with many of Melissa’s couples who start as friends, they immediately earn a special place in my heart! Harley and Piper fit right in with my collection of BFF couples from the very start of this book. Piper is full of spunk and extremely tenacious. Her protective nature is honorable and heartwarming — especially once you learn what makes her Piper! Harley is nothing short of a phenomenal character — perhaps Foster’s best yet! He was patient yet firm in letting his intentions, hopes, and dreams become transparent. Overall, I think my favorite aspect was that their relationship was more than a whirlwind romance with all the standard cutesy stuff. This felt like we were watching their love story unfold while we were a fly on the wall. The passion has roots that pulled deep on my heart strings, threatening to pull it apart, then mending it back together as this lover’s tale unfolded. Completely deserving of 5 stars!
I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
This shouldn’t be news to anyone that follows my reviews, but Harmony Pointe has been a favorite of mine since I read Call Her Mine. It has consistently hit my #TopReads shelf every time. The minute this book landed on my kindle back at the beginning of March I dove right in. I just cannot help it not only with this series, but truth be told, Melissa Foster herself as well. I was so frikkin giddy with Piper and Harley that when I finished, I launched right into a re-read of the series! I know I know, ridiculous, because I’ve done this ever time but you know what, every time I go back and re-read, my mind is blown again and again! You guys … this has only happened with one other story, and that was FSOG. I have read that trilogy now 7 times (book 2 nine times) and it never gets old and it is always as if I’m reading it for the first time. Same with Harmony Pointe !! Here’s the thing about this series, Melissa integrates everyone in everyone’s book, which is glorious because its like you’re never really saying goodbye to a couple and their story just continues. GAH, I love this series so much!!
There’s nothing more joyous than a friends to more story and the story of Piper and Harley making the leap was even more joyous because I have known them both for quite a while 🙂 and I’ve been rooting for them almost as long! What a perfect storyline Melissa chose for them! Piper is the best kind of heroine you’d want to read .. sassy and witty, strong and independent, loyal and smart and an amazing friend! Harley is swoon personified !! There is absolutely nothing not to like about him. He is driven and smart and loyal and the best kind a friend a girl could ask for. And patient, oh my, so damn patient, and kind and just *happy sigh* THEY WERE THE PERFECT TEAM!
I love it when Melissa delivers a story that is passionately emotional. This story is not just the growth of friendship to more for Piper and Harley. Piper has a lot of growing to do and hurdles she must jump and history she has to leave in the past before she can make a future with Harley and I cannot tell you how proud I am of the choices Melissa made with her character. She built not only this story but both Piper and Harley and the secondary characters beautifully. She wrote a story I could jump into and become a part of. It has been an epic ride for me! And the epilogue … I’m crying again!! Well done!!
The best one I have read so far. It was great!
Harley is the guy every girl will want. He’s sweet, sexy, and is a born protector. Melissa Foster has created a down-to-earth hero in Harley and he is the perfect match for Piper.
Piper is a strong, independent character, and she lives her life like she knows what she wants, but does she, really? Harley is the best friend who just needs to break down Piper’s walls slowly. His charming nature and patience were fun to watch as he brought Piper to his way of thinking.
Foster includes a ton of family moments in SHE LOVES ME to help give the love blooming between these two characters a gentle nudge. I loved the moms and reading the scenes with their entire families.
Sweet and sexy friends to lovers read that will warm your heart and have you cheering.
I’ve been captivated with the Dalton siblings since The Real Thing, and in particular Piper Dalton and I couldn’t wait to read her story. She Love Me is the third title in the Harmony Pointe series, but it’s also connected to the Sugar Lake series, and is a small town, friends to lovers romance.
Harley knows what he wants and he isn’t afraid to go after it. He’s driven, dedicated, loyal and loving. A family man, and will do anything for those he holds dear. He had the patience of a saint, and add in the fact that he’s quite sexy and charming and he’s the perfect book boyfriend.
Piper is stubborn, sassy, strong, resilient and unapologetic about who she is. She’s incredibly honest about what she wants, and the fact that she won’t change for anyone. She’s competent, kind and caring, but doesn’t see herself as maternal or loving. Piper is a career orientated woman, who has a few hang-ups. She struggles to realize that the right man will love you for who you are not who you can be, at times her inability to see what’s right in front of her can be quite frustrating.
The chemistry between this pair is undeniable and their banter is fun and flirty, and as with the previous books featuring the Daltons, all the family make cameo appearances, and the strong themes of family and friendship flow throughout.
I was captivated by several of the side characters and hope that at some point in the future they may have their stories told as well.
I really enjoyed this book. I could hardly put it down. You guessed it a book hangover was a result. I loved Piper and Harley. Harley is going to make you swoon a lot. I mean just the way he takes care of his nieces is enough, but the one thing that sealed his swoon worthiness was he likes Piper just the way she is. He gets her and wouldn’t change her for the world. I mean their first date was perfect example of that. I loved Piper. She feels like she’s not forever material because she’s not the typical woman, but to me that makes her all the more special. She has such a huge caring heart and she instinctively knows what to do even if she thinks she doesn’t. It made me so happy to see Harley in her corner and not give up on her. The epilogue was absolutely perfect. I would so recommend this book. It’s the perfect mixture of heat and heart. This is the type of book you can easily get lost in.
I have loved Harley and Piper from the first time meeting them. Piper feisty, protective, fierce, loyal, caring, strong, independent. Harley protective, strong, caring. It was the last book of this series that I was wanting more for these two. Seeing the two of them come together for their chance at happiness was just wonderful. I loved watching these two friends fall in love together instead of from afar.
The best part was that Harley understood Piper and could work with her and the way she was. There were the ins and outs of a love that may have been there but not acknowledged. The banter and love for each other made for one awesome reads. I loved the entire read but felt most close to chapters where Piper came to understand herself and the relationship she had with the one man the accepted her for her and loved her despite it all.
She Loves Me is another FABULOUS story in the Harmony Pointe series. You absolutely do not need to read the previous books before jumping in to Piper and Harley’s story! I’ve been waiting (probably along with everyone else!) for Piper to find her guy and I’m beyond excited that Harley didn’t give up on her! She is one tough cookie and puts up a heck of a fight to not fall in love. Give it up, girlie. This is Harley Dutch, with a terrible wingman, a 12″ meat lovers, and a panty melting smile…and he’s going to take your walls down one brick at a time
We catch back up with the Daltons and their significant others and we meet-and fall in love with-Harley’s family as well. Harley has some deep wounds that are ripped open and Piper is right there with her not-so-sappy, hardcore support. This is not your typical love story, that’s for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever met a character so determined to fight Cupid’s arrows (or her mother’s potions!) and while I love Piper’s strength and kiss-my-ass attitude, I love when she falls even more! She’s a fighter to the very end!
Harley has been on the sidelines forever, watching over Piper and keeping his heart protected-just like Piper does hers. Even when they venture into their crazy coupledom, he keeps his heart guarded and really fights for her love and her heart. I freaking love that SO MUCH! I love that he wasn’t like most of the heroes we see and sex wasn’t just sex for him. It was meant to be something more. And holy hotness, it ended up being sooooo much more!!
There was a point in the story where I wanted to reach through and throttle her for not budging and letting it all get ripped apart. But, yeah, after an amazing sugar binge and meltdown, she totally nailed the comeback. And just when you think you have it all figured out and it’s going to be a happily ever after…it gets happier!!!
She Loves Me, is the perfect reason why I keep reading Melissa Foster’s writing. You will laugh at the shenanigans, cry at the heart-to-heart moments, and be in awe of this group of family/friends. Harley and Piper have been friends for years but never knew that their other half was a touch away. Love doesn’t change you it makes you want to change.
~~TOP 10 RECOMMENDED~~
I love coming to Harmony Pointe and Melissa Foster with this series just hits all my loving, romantic sides in me. I love seeing each Dalton find love and boy Piper is one tough cookie. Seeing her story and the man who can melt her heart has to be one tough man making Harley Dutch the perfect guy to balance her. Melissa Foster does a great job in showing us the tough tomboy and girl hidden inside Piper so beautiful it is easy to see why she is so loveable. The love, comedy and hate these two have is easy to see why they belong together right from the beginning. Have to say I loved Harley and seeing how cute he can be yet macho at the same time makes me glad Melissa Foster left him for Piper after book 1 and 2. All in all it takes a tough man like Harley to make a woman like Piper feel really wanted, loved and well feel like a girl. Loved it and so glad Melissa Foster included everybody else in this book including the meddling mothers and their love potions.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Piper is the last of the Daltons to get her Happily Ever After and I have been waiting for her and Harley to get together. Harley finally gets Piper after years of wanting her! If you have been reading The Sugar Lake Series or the Harmony Pointe Series you will remember Piper and Harley are friends, good friends. Harley has been trying to get Piper to go out with him for a while but she keeps shooting him down thinking he’s only joking around….little does she know he’s dead serious! If you haven’t read any of the books in either series before now is the perfect time to start because each book can be read as a standalone.
Harley Dutch is a stand-up guy, he is running the family bar after his fathers passing as well as helping his sister raise her girls after her husband split years earlier. He’s always doing for others but there is one thing that he has wanted for himself, Piper Dalton, his best friend, a woman so strong and independent she doesn’t need anyone for anything. Piper has erected a barrier around her heart made of steel and she is determined not to let anyone near it again, one heartbreak was enough for a lifetime, which is why Harley has been relegated to the FRIEND ZONE!
Melissa Foster did a wonderful job with bringing these two out of the friend zone and into coupledom. I love the chemistry between Harley and Piper and I really enjoyed the way everyone could see what was between them before anything actually happened. Roxie wins MOM OF THE YEAR, she is one of the best characters I’ve come across that the book doesn’t revolve around and I think we should have a novella of Roxie and Dan…..pretty please!!!
I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Contemporary Romance or the Friends-to-Lovers Trope.
Happy Reading!!!
Melissa Foster has a way of continually topping one emotionally perfect story with another! With book three in her Harmony Pointe series, she delights fans again with Piper Dalton’s story. We’ve seen her siblings fall in love and now it’s her turn!
Piper is delightful. She’s tough and can hold her own with any guy on one of her construction sites, but she is tender and sweet when life calls for it … just don’t let it get out!
Harley won our hearts quickly because not only is he her best friend, but he’s obviously been in love with her for years and just biding his time until he thought she was ready to be able to handle the knowledge.
I highly recommend this story and the entire series to anyone who loves a close knit family and friend foundation behind each couple as they work through the road blocks towards their happily ever after. Always packed with emotions and entertaining!
You will absolutely fall in love with Piper and Harley!! You will laugh, you will cry and you will be all up in the feels with this. Melissa Foster never disappoints. Just when I think I’ve found my favorite, the next one comes out ++++
Can I just say WOW! This is one of my favorite reads by Melissa Foster to date. The emotions and humor within the pages of this book will just grab hold of your heart and not let go! Piper is such an independent, strong, feisty little package and she thinks all men want to change her. She’s not a girly girl by any means, being part owner of a construction company with her dad, but she’s got a big heart and is sweet in her own way. Her best friend Harley recognizes how amazing Piper is and loves her for it. Piper has always seen Harley as just a great friend and one of the guys to hang with. Until Harley needs her help. Hard as Piper tries to fight it, she realizes that there may be more to Harley than just a great friend. Harley is so patient and understanding with Piper.
Melissa has such a wonderful way with words. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters. You’ll be laughing and swooning all throughout this book! She Loves Me can be read as a standalone, but all characters are mentioned in the other books of this series and are all worth the read!
This is Book 3 in the “Harmony Pointe” Series. This story about friends becoming lovers is wonderful and it has all the elements to make it a great read.
The story is about Piper and Harley, who have been nothing more than friends for the last few years until Harley is injured and things start changing between them.
The characters are very well done, the plot is interesting and the love scenes are sey and hot!
A wonderful read! I really recommend it!
What a ride! I felt so many emotions reading this book, I can’t even comprehend! I was happy, laughing, cheering for the couple, and then I was angst, a little mad and sobbing (and not for the couple!). What a wonderful work Melissa did!
I love the Dalton family, I wish mine was like them! And Piper did not disappoint. Actually, she is my spirit animal! She is tough, smart, stubborn, comfortable in her own skin and straight forward. What I like the most about her, is that she also has some vulnerabilities that only a few people know and understand. She doesn’t want to be married and have kids, but not because she hate them, but because she think she would be good at. Her biggest fear? Someone try to change her, like so many tried. Don’t we all want to be loved for who we are?
Harley is Piper’s best friend and in love with her for a long time. He’ll also do whatever it takes to love and protect his family. And let me say, his family went through hell, from his father disease and death, to his sister sickness and the whole Marshall, his brother, mess. He is responsible, caring, super fun, a huge patience and focus on his goals.
He is also very vocal of his feelings and it’s super sweet, but once he has a ankle injury he decided to get off of Piper’s friend zone! And it was super fun to read their road to love, their banter and her realizing that she loved him as well. Not even going to start with their chemistry, it was off charts. And Harley had the BEST dog ever, Jiggs, this award is for you. I love you.
Other worth mention moments: Piper’s father speech about people change it’s so inspiring and I think everyone should read this. Marshall story was so heartbreaking, I was so emotional, what a turnover of events. This one changed the game.
I loved the ending, so deserving and I was left feeling fulfilled. I laugh a lot with Piper claiming she made a mistake and the reactions of everyone, so good! And Melissa also gave a good kickstart for what it will probably be her next series, the Dark Knights.
Oh wow. I have been waiting for Piper Dalton to fall, and I always hoped it would be.for Harley Dutch! While he may seem like a cuddly cub on the surface, that man is a wonderful mixture of cuddly cub and fierce, hot grizzly and I am so here for it. Piper is wonderfully snarky on the surface, fiercely protective of those she loves, with a soft gooey centre she only shows to those who matter, in the most special ways, but something has been holding her back from finding her own happy ever after, or realising what she needed was right in front of her the whole time. Another fantastic read from Melissa Foster, I devoured this book in one sitting, it had me hooked from start to finish.
4.5/5 Stars
Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.
This author knows how to tell a damn good small-town romance story. I was totally smitten with this story.
Melissa Foster is such a skilled author. She is a very natural storyteller and her writing style is so easy to read. I love how she is able to connect each of her books with a cast of characters that gets better with every book. I love how the characters in her books are interwoven into other books so seamlessly. This is one the second book that I have read by this author and I wasn’t the least bit confused about these characters. Curious about some of them that I haven’t read about yet, yes. But never confused. I really enjoyed the plot of the story. Much of the plot is character-based so the story grows as the characters grow. The story never has a dull moment. I was so engrossed with this story from start to finish.
The characters were crafted wonderfully. Both Harley and Piper are characters that have a lot of depth. I really like the way the author lets the reader get to know them through the story. It is very intimate and natural. Harley and Piper experience amazing character growth in the story. The cast of secondary characters is amazing. By the end of the book, you are wanting to pick up all the other books that she has written just so you can get to know the secondary characters better. I really loved the family and friendships in the book.
The romance was very organic. It just felt right. Harley and Piper had known each other for years and they had been friends the whole time. They had a very tangible chemistry with one another. It was so easy to see how perfect they were for each other. And I loved that they were friends first. It really made things hot hot hot in the bedroom when their relationship started to change.
Overall, this was a beautifully told story about self-discovery and acceptance. The plot was engaging, the characters were so realistic and likable, and the romance was absolutely perfect. I really can’t wait to read more books from this world!
