Three friends, inseparable as children, take very different paths toward adulthood. In spite of the distances that emerge among them, they are thrust together by the tragedy of death. Each affected in different ways.Giuseppe Lozano, candidate for U.S. Senate, returns home one night to find his wife and three children mysteriously murdered. There seems to be no motive, and little evidence is left … evidence is left at the scene. How will this affect him and his run for office?
Giovanni Lozano, a Catholic priest, is forced to look beyond the violence to find the presence of God. As a brother and uncle, he feels anger and a desire for revenge. As a priest he is torn by the call of a God who loves all people-good and bad. Can he forgive?
Tom Moran, a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department, is charged with finding the murderer and building a case for justice. He feels no call to forgive. Nor is he driven by ambition. This case is personal. But can he deliver?
Three lives. Three friends. Will the bonds of friendship survive?

Too much detail with too little progress.
WAY too much background info before getting to the main story.
Fast read and exciting
This book dragged on interminably. I understand character development and background but this was excessively long. I almost quit reading it several times. I also found the ending disquieting.
The summary sounded really good but after reading about 20% of it I gave up. Read like a history text and didn’t get to the meat of the story.
Maybe I wasn’t in the mood to really concentrate that time.
It took too long to get into this book so I put it down.
Hard to put down once you start reading.
I really enjoyed the three book series and read them in 3 days. I enjoyed the story and the accompanying factual information they contained. Each book is told from the perspective of one of the characters in the triangle. I further appreciated the proofreading as I found very few typos.
Can’t stop thinking about this one. It really grabs you.
I got a little bored with some of the detail, but stayed with it. So glad I did. Great ending.
A bit of a slow read with lots of character information. Once I start a book I will read till I finish it but this one did not have me wanting to keep reading and not put it down. Near the end of the book the ending became more obvious.
A little too much character development….last 1/3 of book…actually solving the crime was very good with good surprise conclusion
Not impressed
Only gave it a one. . Twisted, not interesting, rambling. Some people may like, but not my genre.
