I liked the book and it’s hero (Eric) and heroine (Beth), but I disliked the cliff-hanger ending. I hate having to wait for the next book to be written. That complaint aside, this is a powerful, emotional story. There are some dark parts that deal with abuse and torture, and the after-effects on the victim, but there is also caring, love, and healing. You definitely need to read the preceding books before this one, or you will not understand fully the history of the characters and what is going on. This one will keep you glued to your seat, and the ending will make you wish it was December (when the next book is due out.)

Alaric is still on the loose. Marie has lost her mind, is pregnant and stayed with Alaric when he escaped. Well at least that’s how it was when this started. Things change and change fast. Beth is having a hard time in recovery between the guilt and self-depreciating banter that continues in her head. Constantly questioning everything and everyone. I have to admit it became rather tedious. Eric is amazing and patient and gentle helping her heal and walking the tightrope of her emotional swings. It is a cliff-hanger as the series has been all along the way. Great read can’t wait for more, more action, more intrigue, more of this family and all that comes with them.
I really liked the book. It’s a powerful and emotional read, but still contains a love story. The author has a wonderful way of drawing you in and not letting you go until the last page. Fair warning the book ends on a cliffhanger.
Shattered is the fourth book in the Immortal Love series.

There are so many emotional things in this. A lot of abuse so if that is a trigger I wouldn’t read this. Otherwise a very intense, exciting, surprising, abusive, loving at points and so much more. Read the blurb. No spoilers. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Book four of the Immortal Love Series. I would say if you do not like cliff-hangers wait until this series is finished as this ends on a cliff-hanger. I will be reading the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a great book. I loved it as an addition to the series!!. one thing if you read reviews – there is a cliff hanger ending at the end of the book that goes into the next one. I myself hate those so I wanted you to know. That however was my only complaint. The rest of the book was phenomenal. Eric and Beth were perfect. You won’t want to miss it – just maybe skip the last chapter until the next book comes out!!
4.8
Beth has found her mate in Aleric’s brother Eric, she’s shattered from the abuse from Aleric and Marie.
Eric is the opposite of his brother and he gives her space and time to get to know him.
The danger isn’t over for her until Aleric and Marie are taken care of.
Ends with a cliffhanger.
This was a very hard story to read. It only spoke of the abuse Beth suffered, which was hard to read regardless, rather than put you right in the heart of the abuse. As the book progressed, I was intrigued by Eric’s ability to care for Beth with such sensitivity. That was so beautifully written. The insight she gave to her time with Alaric and her sister was shocking. I understood her confusion and I understood her sister’s actions because the author wrote with great passion and descriptive prose, it was easy to place yourself in her shoes and her sister’s shoes. The characters were well developed. The storyline intriguing and the action fast paced. I was totally immersed in the plot and I found it difficult to let go when the story ended with such a shocking scene. I am looking forward to reading more about these characters.

This story sucked me in. I need the next book as it ended on heavy cliffhanger That was so so much… That this author once again made me into pieces! And craving next book!
Beth was kept by Alaric for a Long Time. He wanted Her, but Her sister was his mate… Crazy right? And he is a sadist! So Both sisters were abuse during their captivity! So They became shattered. Are They beyond repair?
This read was truly emotional and Full of anxiety as well as problems of dealing with abuse That had happened in The past.
Ms. Santos is a Great storyteller That for me really entertained in this story!
Anna Santos’ Shattered (Immortal Love Series Book 4) is a dark powerful paranormal vampire romance. I’m not going to summarize the plot since the publisher’s blurb tells you what you need without spoiling things. There are indeed horrific themes, mostly courtesy of Alaric, who does indeed make a reappearance. The heroine here, Beth, has been traumatized by him and starts off terrified of his brother. Luckily Eric is the antithesis of Alaric and will do whatever is needed to help Beth deal with what happened. The result is a well-plotted and well written tale that I definitely very much enjoyed despite those dark aspects. My only caveat is that there is a cliffhanger here, but if you’re someone who hates them here’s a pro tip: simply bookmark the start of the final chapter (33) and hold off reading it until you’re ready to start the next book. This one actually comes to a perfectly satisfactory interim conclusion by the end of chapter 32. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. As I did read to the actual end of the book and hit that cliffhanger, I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
