Milo Garcia and Edward Baines-Tennant are on a collision course with destiny in this amazing story of Shattered Beliefs by Maggie Jane Schuler and Mitchell Summers. I loved the way Maggie and Mitchell brought Milo and Edward together…with the slow burn and sexually charged build-up. This book grabs the reader and won’t let go until the climatic ending, I can’t wait to see what’s up next. If you haven’t read Shattered Beliefs, one-click today and enjoy the ride.
Two Worlds Collide
Edward is from a well to do British family. Milo comes from the other side of the tracks in the US. Their worlds could not be any more different, but that does not stop the desire and attraction between these two when they cross paths at the University. This book will take you on some twists and turns from secrets to lust to steamy sex. My heart hurt at one point and at another I was asking “What are you thinking?”. I can’t wait to find out what the next book has in store for this pair. Such a wonderful co-write that I highly recommend.
.
This book has everything!! The angsty drama, so many feels and just the right touch of humor.
Two worlds collide between Edward ever so British and Milo a home grown southern Texan. On the surface these two seem worlds apart, literally. Edward wants to go all in as they figure things out even though while Milo isn’t quite so sure he’s ready for “all in” yet.
The great writing starts with the building of their backstories and picks up through the pages at a speedy clip.
Equally as great as the main characters here are their friends Seth and Logan, and I can’t get enough of Edward’s nosy neighbor Deidra bloody Warner! And just as I’m waiting for Edward’s mum to come to town, OMG you are gifted with a very uncalled for cliffhanger! I will now have to stalk them to get the next installment.
Milo and Edward are complete opposites. Milo being a Texas boy, yearning to get out from under his father’s reputation of being a star football player. He is unwilling to admit he is gay to his family and himself. Edward the elite propper British student wanting to further his education away from home, while seeing how the other half lives, so to speak. Edward has come out to his family and is completely comfortable in his life, until he meets Milo. They share an instant attraction but experience many issues in their journey. First cultural and social adjustments for Edward and the realization that Milo is not ready to come out to his family. This is not my usual genre but I love these two authors and their writing styles. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to more from them.
As the two very different paths of Milo and Edward collide, passions ignite…. bringing us a hot and very sexy read. But coming from such different backgrounds, it brings about secrets, lies and insecurities as well. This is an absolute page turner of a story, leaving me totally shattered with the ending.
DYING for book 2 !!!!!
Edward and Milo should not fit together in any way, but they say opposites attract and in this case it couldn’t be more true. It was fun reading the cultural differences between Milo and Edward. Milo from US, Edward from UK.
However the differences between these men aren’t just where they were born.
Milo’s life is not easy and having to deal with his family life plagues him and now Edward steps into the picture, messing with his mind even more. Edward’s life may appear to be easy, but nothing is ever perfect.
Maggie Jane Schuler and Mitchell Summers have teamed up and written a realistic story with a few twists and turns I wasn’t expecting. I giggled and shed tears too.
The emotional struggles for both men are written into this story perfectly making them more than just a character in a book. They are humans with feelings and as such, I was able to feel too.
Some spicy sex between Edward and Milo and you have yourself a fantastic book with heat, a great storyline and a lot of heart.
I can’t wait for more from this co-write team.
Maggie Jane Schuler and Mitchell Summers teamed up to write an amazing book. Shattered Beliefs had me captivated from beginning to end. The story is written in Milo and Edward’s POV. Opposites attract definitely pertains to Milo and Edward. They have their own struggled to work through, and it is not an easy road for them. The secondary characters are interesting and valuable to the story.
I thought the book was written very well and the characters were well-developed. Shattered Beliefs was an emotional read that ends in a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to reading the next installment.
Wow. What an emotional story. Edward is a transfer student from the UK and Milo is from Texas and the two collide and what an emotional meeting with it many ups and downs. There are too many secrets not being shared and that is part of the problem. This is a cliffhanger and now we will have to wait until book 2 comes out to see if they will share their secrets. Enjoy
Fabulous!
This story dug deep into my heart. The emotional turmoil Milo goes through is heartwrenching! But the same could be said for Edward too!
I have loved reading how Maggie and Mitchell’s writing styles have seamlessly blended, the mix of American and British writing is unique and so well executed here. But did I really expect anything less from these two?
I love the how deeply Edward and Milo’s emotions have been expressed, giving an intense and beautiful insight into their personalities and their own battles.
A fabulous debut from this amazing duo and I am so excited for book 2 and hopefully more. Highly recommend!
