Relationship status: It’s complicated. If everyone at Twin Falls Academy knew my secret I’d never wash away the stain. There’s one person in particular who would love to watch me fail — toxic teen princess Rosalie Evers — and she’ll do or so anything to make it happen. So, I have to keep my relationship with the three hottest guys at Twin Falls, Preston, Maddox and Quinton, on the down-low even … Quinton, on the down-low even though they are quickly becoming my favorite addiction.
Sneaking around is a rush but getting caught is my worst fear.
Is being with the boys worth trashing my reputation? Or am I risking everything for something that will ultimately destroy me?
I don’t have the answers. What can I say…it’s complicated.
SHATTER ME is part of a four-book series that ends with a massive cliffhanger and must be read in order. The books are: RUIN ME, SHATTER ME, WRECK ME, DEVASTATE ME. Contains foul language and mature themes. Enjoy!

I liked the first book in this series much better than this one. I think this one had a few flaws in the character development and in the plot, though the majority of the story was pretty good and held my interest. I had trouble at the beginning of the book because the heroine, Gypsy began with one scene where her and her three guys were at the abandoned cabin in the woods that they fixed up to be their clubhouse/meeting place, and they were grilling and a forest ranger catches them so they can’t use that place anymore.
For quite a while after that she talks about how much fun she has with the guys and how she loves being with them but she doesn’t describe any specific interactions with them and I was starting to think is this all it is going to be? Her glossing over her good times with the guys in a few words? But soon she starts to have more interaction with them. The funny thing is that these three guys are supposed to be her boyfriends and you know how young love is, but she seems ok with going days without talking to them or hearing from them.
Then when they are together a few of them start to have issues, Maddox has issues with his Dad forcing him to join the military after high school. Quentin also has a problem and Gypsy doesn’t seem to care enough to want to help them more than the bare minimum.
I know it ends in a cliffhanger so some of these questions will be answered in the next book, but I just don’t think that is how a high school girlfriend would behave. Even if she is trying to keep the polyamorous relationship on the down low. I mean texting is on the DL. Just too many things don’t add up, even with bully Rosalie on the sidelines.
However, it was still good enough for me to want to read the next installment to find out what happens. I am a sucker for knowing the ending and having everything wrapped up in a neat little package.
Lastly, since I am a very visual person, I am often initially attracted to a book due to the cover art, so let’s talk about the cover on this one. It is similar to the cover on the first book. I think it is supposed to be her school photo or something but does that look like a school picture from the 1970’s or what? Yuk! I am not liking it.

Gypsy is still secretly seeing Maddox, Quinton and Preston. Things are getting harder to keep from everyone. It seems like their relationship is starting to spiral out of control within their dynamic. Outside factors are contributing to the conflicts between them but can they work their way through it to stay together? Or will they let it rip them apart?
This is a great story that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Things are heating up in Twin Falls
Gypsy has the attention of the 3 hottest guys in school but keeping it on the down low is getting harder and harder. Preston, Maddox and Quinton wouldn’t be judged harshly if their secret came out but Gypsy certainly would and with the school bully gunning for you it’s hard to have this different kind of relationship and not be worried about it all crashing down. As well as navigating the guys feelings. Great story. I’m dying to find out what happens next.
Mixed feelings
I did enjoy the book besides its turn in direction but there must be a reason for that, so I am looking forward to the next book and the answers to come. Shatter Me, is filled with mixed emotions, heartache, bulling and confusion for Gypsy, I do feel like there was a bit if a 180 on Gypsy’s character, she seems to have lost the dark humor and sarcasm that I loved in the first book, but that could all be due to her walls being broken down, she gave in to forgiveness way to easily and cares way too much on how her reputation can be ruined by dating three guys, there was not much of sexual build-up or teasing that I was expecting after Ruin Me! Other than that, seems like there is a lot more to come and could get deeper and more intriguing, I will definitely be waiting!
You need to have read Ruin Me in order for this one to make sense as it’s part of a series and the first book ended in a cliffhanger. Now, we deal with the boys and Gypsy keeping their relationship quiet. Gypsy also has to deal with her bully. I understand that but some things in the book happen without any reason that we can see. I am hoping some of these things are cleared up in the next book and there are more interactions between Gypsy and her boys.
