REVIEWS:
“Light, fast-paced, humorous, and yes, sharp, this Perth-based series is a lot of fun to read. As the cover declares, Delacourt has created a heroine Janet Evanovich fans will love – only this lanky lady is pure Aussie. You’ve not met anyone quite like her.” – Tara Moss’s Book Club, 13th Street
“Australia’s Marianne Delacourt delivers the laughs and action with her sassy, unorthodox PI Tara Sharp…” – The Herald Sun
“Tara Sharp is a gust of fresh air in the local crime fiction scene. While it is wonderful that our more literary crime writers are finally getting the attention they deserve, there’s still plenty of room for fast-paced commercial female-oriented Australian crime fiction. And Marianne Delacourt (aka sci-fi writer Marianne de Pierres) has certainly nailed that brief. – The Australian Bookseller and Publisher.
“Marianne Delacourt’s heroine – Perth PI Tara Sharp – invites comparison with Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum, and there’s no doubt if you’re an Evanovich fan you’ll enjoy this. Sharp, however, has the added wrinkle of being able to read peoples auras, as much a curse as a blessing.” – Scoop Magazine

Don’t remember a thing about it. But enjoyed as I read it.
Tara Sharp is an extremely likable character who is currently jobless. She just can’t keep one. When her sleazeball boyfriend departs with nearly all her worldly goods, she moves back into her home. Granted, she is living in the guesthouse but her relationship with her parents is not very good.
Add in two unique best friends, the Perth location, and her stumbling into a drug ring and I’ve enjoyed every minute of the series.
Liked it
Enjoyable. It as written in 20 something language, a language I’m not all that familiar with but, it was worth the confusion I suffered for a few seconds til I figured things out and then continued on reading. I like this authors style!
3rd book in a series, I do recommend reading the books in order as the main character develops over time.
Funny main character with an unusual skill making for unusual happenings.
Meh.
very good read, good author
A fun quick read full of action mystery and creative problem solving.
Very entertaining and the author described the characters well.
I read about the first quarter of the book and abandoned it. I really couldn’t get into it and the “seeing the colors” of people was a little “off” for me. Some may enjoy it. I didn’t.
I really wanted to like this book, and gave it a fair chance, just could not get into it at all.
It was ok.
It was ok. A good read.
As the first book in the Tara Sharp series, I was pleasantly surprised by this novel. The main character is not only well developed but the supporting characters have more depth than I would have expected. The pace of the novel is excellent. I kept wanting to go to the next chapter. The novel had the added affect of making me want to visit Perth. I highly recommend and will be reading the other books in the series.
Misleading and boring as dirt.
No surprises here, fairly predictable.
fun light reading.
Set in Perth, Australia and filled with Aussie slang, this is an entertaining series about a woman who sees auras and tries to a living off of it surrounded by strange and interesting characters. Fun and well plotted
Tara’s unusual ability makes life difficult. I enjoyed this character, and her struggle to deal with it.
A fun read. I like action and this book has it. Once into the book, hard to put down.
