This was such a good book! It’s a page turner for sure and you will keep guessing until the last few pages. I gave it four stars because parts of it were slow at points… but I highly recommend it!
They made a mini series because it was interesting.
The book was great very twisted and It takes you through hoops
Well, this is going to be a weird review I am writing a review for a book I hated but was brilliant. So bare with me I think this is the first time I’ve done that. This is my second Gillian Flynn book I read Gone Girl and had mixed feelings about that so to me really it is no surprise that I felt this way about the book. So let me get it out there …
This book was sold!!! The twist and turns kept you guessing and the characters were intriguing.
I was really excited to read this book because of all the hype I’ve heard about it. But, I have to say I’m a little disappointed. I thought the book was good, and it was a great read, but I had already figured out the ending before it came about. I still plan on watching the TV series as well, but wanted to read the book before I did that. …
I wanted to read the book before watching any of the shows episodes. I’m glad I did. I got caught up in the characters, although simply written. Was a good time filler.
This book was a good read. I couldn’t put it down once I started it. The only reason the book didn’t get 5 stars is because I feel like there wasn’t enough of a twist. The person responsible for the crimes was pretty obvious from the very beginning. Once all the characters were introduced I thought to myself: how much do you wanna bet the killer …
Couldn’t put this down! Characters are unforgettable….so is the story!! Amazing writing…sharp and brilliant!
One of Flynn’s best, I love this woman’s mind, it’s so dark and twisted you could get lost in the horrors for years.
Loved it! It is an easy read, page turner. Then I watched the HBO series, and I think I liked the book better. Amy Adams did a great job but I think the book was well-written, and was more detailed than the series.
Found most of the characters very tragic people but made for a very readable story and surprise ending.
My all time favourite book. I remember reading it in a Target parking lot because I wanted to read a little before going in, and I ended up finishing the whole thing. There is a double twist at the end that is positively haunting. I recommend reading this, as well as watching the new show on HBO!
I know it was a novel but the reveal, to me, was not at all believable. It was just okay for me.
the ending seemed rushed, the twist not very shocking and sort of passed over, but overall a good read
I really enjoyed this book. I am a big fan of Gillian Flynn.
Wanted to read it before watching the mini series on HBO. Read it in 2 afternoons. Shocking. An exploration of good and evil, the victim and the victimized, twists and turns and a punch to the stomach in the last few pages.

A rather dark book on some rather dark subjects. I enjoyed the characters, they really fit and made the story work for me. In spite of my not being surprised by the outcome, it was a good mystery. This story may resonate with anyone dealing with many of the included current day issues, and hopefully not in a bad way.
