While the idea of book was good I found this book hard to keep up with. The writing and ideas weren’t hard to understand I just found they didn’t make sense. The main character was relatively boring and I felt like nothing happened the entire book and then at the end everything happened all at once but none of it related to the rest of the book.
Couldn’t put it down
I love a book with a great test you don’t see coming – this ‘one bits the bill!
It’s showed aspects of life I wasn’t aware existed. I’m seeking therapy now for compulsive Behavior but nothing like the protagonist.
I watched the miniseries and knew I wanted to read the book. Gripping, a little macabre, but an overall good read.
Read anything Gillian Flynn writes -she is the very best!
If you enjoy the elegant use of the English language – this is a book you’ll love. It is so well written, never boring, always interesting. Highly recommended!
It was a little predictable but had well developed characters.
It was just ok. I read this after reading gone girl & I really never could get into it. I finished it only because I hate leaving a book unfinished.
This is my favorite Gillian Flynn book thus far. I thought it was a more interesting and compelling story than Dark Places or Gone Girl. Even though the main character is a mess and a half, because she is written so well you easily find yourself sympathizing with her and understanding what makes her tick. I highly recommend this book.
Read it in a day. Loved it
Better than Gone Girl.
This is one of my all time favorite books, I have now read it twice and like it even more than her amazing Gone Girl. I cannot wait to check out the HBO Series. Been waiting for another Gillian Flynn novel to come out, dying to read her next work!
Sharp Objects has lots of twists and turns and is a dark read. The mental health problems it touched on seemed pretty real to me. When it came to all the twists and turns I thought I had them figured out but then there was one more twist that really surprised me. I felt it was a great read but at times I felt there were certain parts that just …
Was beautifully written. Pulled me through every emotion! Absolute MUST read!
These characters came alive, so fascinating.
Loved this book! Didn’t want it to end! Definitely a page turner!!
One of the best mysteries I’ve ever read.
Not to everyone’s taste but the characters are realistically freightening.
This book is intense and well written, even better than Gone Girl. Gillian Flynn is a master at capturing the dark side of a character.
