Great book. This is my favorite from Ms Flynn.
Interesting story with well fleshed out characters. A little off on the mental health issues though, but I’m a provider so there’s that. I found it interesting and engrossing. Left me wanting more of an explanation on the “crazy.”
Interesting characters and storyline.
You think you got it figured but you actually have no idea
Flynn is a good writer. I was smitten with her ability to make you feel like you’re unraveling with her characters and to become skeptical of all that’s happening around you as you dig deeper into this twisted plot. However, I think she lacked in a shock factor. This is why I tend to shy away from murder mystery type stories. I tend to try to not …
Yikes! Girls are famous for being mean, but wow.
Amma, Adora, Ann, Natalie. Victims all, and equally villainous. Only poor Camille Preaker takes it all in to her own flesh without dishing any of it back out. I have to admit that my heart hurt a little for Flynn’s Camille. This story bothered me quite a bit, meaning I found myself thinking about …
This was a gripping psychological thriller. I stayed up nearly all night reading it. The suspense is razor edge.
My favorite of Gillian Flynn’s books. Great story, great read
This book bothered my sensibilities. I don’t think of myself as a prude, but I found this story to be raw in a useless kind of way and entirely too sexually morose.
I would not recommend it, as a matter of fact, I almost stopped reading it – only completing it because of book club.
A total MISS.
This is Gillian Flynn’s best novel.
Had me guessing up until the very end!
Incredible writing, full of twists and some great characters.
Gillian Flynn creates deliciously twisted characters who really aren’t likable and yet you root for them anyway. She slowly unveils her characters’ madness, spiraling you into more and more “WTF” as you read. As with all Flynn’s books, after the first few chapters, it’s pretty hard to put the book down.
This was a pretty good book that had me wondering until the very end. I still can’t believe everything that went down. My God. I’ll definitely be reading more by Gillian Flynn!
I loved this book! The neck-breaking plot twists are absolutely stunning!
Couldn’t put it down! Had to find out what was happening next.
The image of Camille inspires identification and heart-rending ness. It made me want to reach out between the pages, hug her and make sure everything was all right, and at the same time, I tried to get to the end of the book and run away from this town.
If you are a thriller lover – yes, read the book.
I loved this book. Original, dark, twisty, full of flawed characters and family secrets. My favourite of all her books!
This is my favorite book of hers to date.
This was definitely a page-turner with a twisty end. However, I found that ending disturbing.
