A charming nerd who’s new in town. A surfer dude king looking for his queen. Magic is about to happen.Shark Irons has a problem. He’s supposed to be finding his queen. He’s supposed to be sliding into his role as king. What he is doing is dealing with a rash of shark attacks taking place in the Cumberland River. Humans are in danger. His shark shifters’ swimming holes are being closed down. And … closed down. And Shark’s worried he’s already failing as king.
Lexie Leland is a nerd. In fact, she’s in Nashville for a Comic-Con when she finds herself in a bind. Who should save her but a magical being, of course? Only Lexie isn’t buying what Shark is selling.
It’s a good thing these Nashville Shifter Kings know how to convince a woman he’s in it for the long haul.
Shark’s got a lot on his plate, but he’s about to find that Lexie is his complement in all things. He asked for a queen, and he’s getting one with fire, with sass, and with more power than he ever thought possible.
Warning: Nerdy, sassy, sexy novella-length read ahead…

Made for the summer
This author has created another fantastic story that was worth the wait. In this book, Shark finally finds his queen. The connection is not one we were expecting, and reveals some secrets that we didn’t know we wanted to find out about. I think you are going to be in love with these two crazy love birds, by the time you reach the HEA. I really enjoyed how the author sets us up for the next book at the end.
I loved Lexie! I loved how she’s a nerd, and while it takes her becoming a queen to embrace it, she does realize it is exactly who she needs to be. Shark… well, I don’t see much change in him during this story, but he’s cute (at least in my head). This one wasn’t as good as #1 and #2, but it was a fun read. 3.5/5 stars
This story is a fun and entertaining read with likable characters. This is Shark and Lexi’s story and when I say she doesn’t know about anything paranormal, she really doesn’t. No witches, vampires, shifters or anything that’s strictly not 100% human. So she is in for a eye-opening adventure when she is Shark’s queen. I love how quirky Lexi is and Shark is just a surfer dude at heart. I can’t wait for more from this author!!
Holly Gunn continues her Shifter Kings Nashville series with Shark, and she does an amazing job.
This series connects but you can read each book independently and that is great, because this was my first. I have already picked up the first two in this series and will start them soon!
The pleasure I had reading this book occurred because of the love the characters show each other. Not just Shark and his queen, but the shifter kings and their families and friends.
I truly enjoyed the traits of Shark’s queen, and will continue to read just to see her in other stories!!!
A captivating read from beginning to end! An exciting storyline that leaves you breathless wanting more! Sexy steam filled chemistry! Emotionally heartfelt, enjoyable and fun! One heck of a twisted, intense rollercoaster ride! An amazing must read!
This is my first time reading this author and even though this is book 3 in the series and the first one I’ve read I had no problem understanding what was going on. It’s a quick read and a fun read. The characters are likable, and their dialogue is nerdy and fun. I’ve never read a shark shifter story before and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The plot is interesting and easy to follow, it’s a great way to spend an hour or so.

Shark and Lexie have a great story full of amazing characters, twists and turns that will keep you guessing and tons of emotion and steam. Can Shark find his queen in time? Is Lexie’s yearly vacation to a Comicon this year just a vacation or will it change her life?

I Loved Shark and Lexie’s story. This series is so creative and unique. Each story so different yet a common thread runs through the friendship of the future kings. Lexus is nerdy, sweet and finally finds her home. I am hoping that Rudy and Sera get their happy ending as well somewhere in the series.
This is Book 3 in the Shifter Kings Nashville series. I thought Spyder was going to be my favorite King but I think Shark has knocked him out of first place. This was such a good book. Shark is going to be the next king of the Shark tribe if he can find his queen. But he also has to figure out what’s going on in the water around Nashville. Then Lexie Leland comes to town on vacation. She’s a nerd until she gets to Comic Con. Then she can pretend to be someone else in costume. These two together are so much fun. Lexie is such a fun person and loves to meet people, especially at Comic Con. She’s not a bit bashful and asks whatever comes to her mind. She’s there with her best friend, Rudy. If you want to read a fun and fast story, this is the one for you. Even though it’s part of the series, you can read it as a stand-alone book. I think you will regret it, if you don’t grab it along with the other books in the series. They are fantastic! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Book Sprout.
This was my introduction to this shifter series and I liked it a lot.
Shark and Lexie were so cute, quirky and sassy.
The only downside was that it was too short. I just felt like I was really getting to know them when it ended.
I am hoping the mystery gets solved in the next book.
I have got to read the first two books about Lion and Spider now.

I loved Shark! This is my first book by this author, my first shark shifter story and the original storyline was fantastic. Shark and Lexi are complete opposites. Shark is a shark shifter and future King in search of his Queen. Lexi is a nerd and loves going to Comic-Con every year. Two quirky characters, mysterious shark attacks and a perfect HEA make this a great read.
Right from the start there’s a whole lot of nerd. I liked both Shark and Lexie right away because they were definitely unique and we were given a pretty clear picture of who each of them are and why we should like them. The big reveal was a little awkward, to say the least, as was the first intimate moment between the MC’s. It’s not that their sexy times didn’t pack a steamy punch, it certainly did, but I think it was the lead up, it just didn’t feel well timed. As for the mystery surrounding Nashville’s shifter population, there’s not a whole lot of explanation or progress. In a book this short it just didn’t have enough page space to get things really rolling without giving us enough of a relationship build sufficient to carry the story. What it did give, however, was a sweet, sexy, quirky romance, a great set up for the next story (hopefully Wolf and Sera’s!!), and a general sense of the turmoil that’s brewing and what we might expect as the series continues. The dialogue was mostly incredibly quirky and sometimes cringey, but the whole thing was silly, sexy, and I found myself utterly charmed. I’m definitely going to read more from this series.
Because of recent bull shark attacks in the Cumberland River, the usual areas for the shark shifters have been closed down. Humans are in danger, so there is a great deal of attention being given to this problem. King Jayden, Queen Oula, and their son and future king of the shark tribe, Shark Irons, are in a meeting with Derek and making sure he understands they are doing all they can right now, despite his acting as if they are ignoring the problem. What he is actually concerned about is that everyone in the shark shiver works at their family business, Shiver Lumber, and are concerned that they may need to move out of Nashville if everything closes down. And a witch reporter Shark met with, felt change was underway in the waters, and there was something else going on with the shark attacks, something deliberate. But who would want to do such a thing and why?
Lexie Leland is a socially challenged, fantasy-loving, self-proclaimed nerd and web designer, currently in Nashville for a Comic-Con. She longs for adventure and can be anyone she chooses to be, inspired by superheroes. Today, she is Trinity from the Matrix. Following tradition, she bets with her best friend, Rudy, as to how many Batman costumes will be at this convention – unfortunately there is never a real-life Batman. But ironically, she is here in her costume, pretending to be someone else, with the only person she can be herself with, so life is perfect! Her philosophy is that if you spend your life learning and exploring, even if it’s just at your local library, it will be full. Not just book learning, but learning about people too, real places, experiences, life. Enjoying the wonderful people she meets at the convention, she realizes she wants a lifetime of this — playing, meeting new people, learning and laughing and experiencing strange happenings. Isn’t that the point of living? They met a partially blind young woman and at the end of the day go for a swim. “Henry”, short for Henrietta, has someone she wants Lexie to meet.
After rescuing her from the river, Shark realizes Lexie is perfect for him in every way. She calls him “Surfer Dude” and he calls her “Nerd”. But he can’t figure out what kind of shifter she is? She doesn’t seem to understand about animal first names, as in “Shark”, which identifies what he is. Her own tattoo symbol melded with his on his arm, then disappeared from hers; yet he can’t tell what she is. He explains to her he is about to become King, as a new King takes over every 30 years. She is his Queen. He tells her he is a shark shifter and she thinks he is joking, that Rudy set her up. Will he be able to convince her it’s all true? He needed a queen, he is sure he found her, but there are so many unanswered questions! He has only 30 days to make her his, and if he wins her heart, he would be getting a queen with fire, sass, and with more power than he ever imagined. Together they may be able to find the truth behind the shark attacks.
This book was so different from other shifter books. Besides sharks being an unusual shifter, the “facts” about shifters were slightly different and fascinating. The story line is good with the mystery of the shark attacks. And the characters are fantastic! I love Shark’s laid back personality. Lexie is a loveable, free spirit nerd the reader can’t help but want as a true friend. Even the secondary characters are absolutely wonderful! Grab your copy and experience a different kind of shifter that will draw you right in!
Third book in the Shifter Kings Nashville series and it is a fantastic read! The storyline is unique, fast pace, consistent, witty, and flows smoothly. Likeable characters; amazing character interaction; and hot chemistry. A really great read!

I am dead. This was so cute/funny/quirky that I just died. The characters are in no way “normal” and it’s fantastic. This is a wonderful wonderful story to read.
