Shane Remington has it all. He has a great family. He’s built his guest ranch into a great business. He’s a good-looking guy and he knows it. Everyone loves him. He may not have a woman, but that’s okay, he can have any woman he wants—and usually does. There is one woman who seems impervious to his charms though, and for some reason it bothers him.
Cassidy Lane has it all, too. She’s a talented … a talented artist, who has made it commercially. She’s successful in her work and in her life. Whatever she wants, she makes it happen. She came to Montana for a new adventure and it’s working out perfectly. The one thing she doesn’t want—or need—is a man.
Shane Remington may be annoyingly attractive, but Cassidy knows he can’t handle her. Guys like him want a small, sweet woman to feed their ego—not a strong smart woman like her to challenge it.
There’s no denying the attraction between them, but will it be enough to bring together a woman who doesn’t want anyone and a guy who wants everyone?
This book is intended for adult readers aged 18+

more
Shane is attracted to Cassidy from the first time he sees her, but she’s not interested. I loved how she got him to model naked for her art class, that his mom was a member of, lol. When they finally get together, Katie, one of Shane’s former lovers, isn’t happy. Katie will try everything to break them up. Will she succeed? Grab your copy and fall in love with the youngest Remington brother. I can’t wait to read Carter’s story next.
great book
Shane by S.J. McCoy is a fantastic western romance. Ms. McCoy has delivered a well-written book populated with outstanding characters. Cassidy is an artist that leaves the east to move west to the mountains. Shane wants to go out with Cassidy but she’s not having it. Cassidy and Shane’s story is packed with drama, humor, spice and a touch of suspense. I enjoyed reading Shane and look forward to reading more from S.J. McCoy in the future. Shane is book 2 of the Remington Ranch Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Comfortable in his own skin, Shane may be the baby of his family, but he is fully confident in his prowess and good looks. Cassidy is just as confident, however, she has previously paid the price for being who she is and is unwilling to allow any man to negate her talent and ability as an artist. Initially Shane and Cassidy play a game of one-upmanship until their interaction becomes real. Unfortunately, there is more than one fly in the ointment and attempts to sever their connection abound. The attraction sizzled between Cassidy and Shane from the opening chapters and I enjoyed seeing how their interaction changed from jockeying for top position to becoming two people who respected and needed each other. This is a warm and lighthearted romance, and whilst it is part of a series, it is a standalone and can be read as such.
I was so happy to open my Kindle and see “Shane”. S.J. McCoy’s Remington Ranch series is wonderful. I love reading about this family who lives in Montana. Makes me want to go live there with them. This is book 2 of the series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I really feel that you would benefit by reading the books in order. This is a book about the baby brother, Shane. Shane is a big, sexy, know it all Montana cowboy. Cassidy is a ballsy woman who takes no crap from anyone. She says what she thinks, does what she wants, but seems to have a heart of gold. There is a point in the book where Cassidy says that she and Shane are the “same kind of wild’. They were meant for each other. Most of the time it’s opposites who attract, but these two do fine being alike. I think what I enjoyed the most is knowing that these two talked over everything. They didn’t let others tear them apart. Yes, there were moments of doubt, but they proved their love by being calm. S. J. McCoy has a writing style that will pull you in. You will feel as if you are part of the book. I can’t wait to read about the other Remington men. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. S. J. McCoy has a hit every time that publish button is pushed.
Strong Women
Shane affected her in ways she couldn’t believe. Cassidy doesn’t see herself as the settling down type. But whatever is happening between her and Shane is hot.
