New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan completes a sexy contemporary series with an unrequited crush on the bad boy next door.Caleb Carr might have once been ready for commitment, but when the unexpected slams into him with the force of a two-ton truck, he knows he has to run away from anything that might be important. Zoey might well be his final temptation, but to keep … but to keep her whole, he’ll walk away.
Zoey Wager has loved Caleb since they were eight. And has had her heart broken from afar repeatedly ever since. It doesn’t help that every time she sees him—even when she’s running away halfway across the world—he’s with another woman. She’s watched him fall in lust her entire life. Now, she’s ready to watch him fall in love. With her.

While I liked this book, its story line and its couple. That being said I also had some issues with this book. Things move quite slowly as Zoey and Caleb’s tale unfolds. While I understood that there was a lot of ground to cover I still thought things dragged. Zoey and Caleb were just only OK in my opinion. They had there moments but they never truly clicked with me and I honestly never got that much of an connection between them. Still, I’m not saying that this was a bad book because there were some very good things about it like the writing, the heat when these two finally do get together, the world building and the return appearances of familiar characters.
Shameless With Him is a sweet and sad story of unrequited love. Caleb is such a man, I wanted to Gibbs slap him more than once. Zoey was too sweet for her own good. But when they finally get together it makes your heart sing.
Beautifully told, the story of an unrequited love comes full circle. Zoey is the little girl who is left behind. Her mother and sister are close because of what her sister had been through. The boy she has a crush on is constantly with another girl. From age 8 to adulthood, she looked to him, and he was involved with someone else. When Zoey’s little sister does a little match-making by placing Zoey and crush Caleb in a situation where they are forced to work together. Things seem to be going well until Caleb mucks things up. Zoey and Caleb manage to find their HEA despite Caleb getting in the way.
I really enjoyed this book. It was another page turner.
Carrie Ann Ryan did another amazing job on this book.
I loved Zoey and Caleb together, even though I didn’t think they would last. I loved their interaction, and how they were thrown together. And had been in each others life.
Zoey and Caleb have known each other for years and during all of that time Zoey has had a crush on him. He has saved her many times over the years and it didn’t matter if it was from waves, her family, or drunk guys trying to pick her up. Each time though Zoey’s heart broke a little more because he was always with someone new.
Zoey and Caleb run into each other when they both move back to Colorado and Zoey is working on her floral shop. After a night out things change between these two. Caleb is hiding a secret from Zoey regarding his health and things change when he tries to push her away because he doesn’t want to hurt her.
I love the Carrs and the Montgomery’s! It is always a good time when they get together. Shameless With Him is Caleb and Zoey’s story. There is a fair amount of time hopping in the beginning that I was a bit concerned about, but it laid the foundation for their relationship and it was done well. This was another great read.
Oh how I loved Zoey! I loved that she had so much empathy for others, that she stayed optimistic, but not too enthusiastically, and she loved with all her heart. Now Caleb, I loved him to, but I’m with his brothers, he sometimes needs to swift kick to the butt. Zoey and Caleb have been acquaintances and friends for their whole lives, and it shows in their interactions that they know each other well. Fun and sexy, emotional and thoughtful, I was very invested in these two figuring things out so they could be together.
The added bonus of this book, a baby shower that had me giggling and laughing out loud at the antics of the Carr’s and the Montgomery’s
I love a book that’s hard to put down, and this was one of those! I haven’t read anything by this author before, and starting with book 3 in a series might be a lil crazy, but that’s me. I live life on the edge. And it paid off, they must be connected stand alones.
This is like a lifetime crush/ friends to lovers sort of thing. Zoey has always wanted Caleb, but never ever acted on it, and he never seemed to be single. And even when they’re both free and clear and things are moving along, she’s still reserved and content to pull back. Which I guess wasn’t a bad thing for the most part.
Caleb has his secrets, but he’s close with his family, he’s a good friend, and really likeable. I’m still kinda struggling with a stupid decision he made at one point, it made me sooo mad at him. But it all works out, so I guess it’s fine. This book did make me want to look up her other books for sure.
The strength of fear. Had such a hold on their lives through the years, how can they not try in the light of being forced together? It’s amazing how complacent you can become with fear of the unknown that you’re willing to let happiness go. Now Zoey finally has her chance , she just has to pull on her big girl panties and fight for her man. Thank God she has a BIG family to hold her hand too.
I enjoyed Caleb and Zoey’s story but I can’t say that I liked Caleb. Zoey is a strong and independent woman who is a great friend and an even better sister, I think she deserves better than a man who keeps secrets and hurts her in a way that was totally unnecessary (all he had to do was talk to her about where their relationship was going). I like how strong the family connections are in this story. Caleb and his siblings are close and look out for each other and Zoey would do anything for her sister even when she is being a bridezilla. This is an easy to read story that keeps you turning pages to see if they get their HEA.
Sooo good!!! Caleb is the last Carr standing. He was never looking for anything that wasn’t casual and all his ex’s knew the score. He has come home from Alaska and his family knows something is up, but he is tight lipped. Just when he thought he may want something more with someone he has a scare that rattles him. The only one that seems to get him is Zoey, who has secretly loved him since she was 8. Caleb seemed to be there for her every time she needed to be saved and now he’ back and she is in a panic. I love their story, their banter, the family interference, it’s just such a fabulous story!!
Zoey has been in love with Caleb since she was age 8, now her sister is getting married & John has asked Caleb to be bestman, why Zoey will be maid of honour, so they will have to work together.
Zoey want Caleb to full in love with her but she hadn’t made a plan yet how to get that to work. Caleb wants Zoey just not till he knows what’s wrong with him, but it doesn’t stop him for filling for her!
My heart near burst with love for this couple…
In the beginning I thought Zoey was a saint, but telling so much of he backstory really set the stage for this romance. I’m not much for players, and Caleb appears to be one of the worst, but even Zoey admits he is never callous in his treatment of women. Thrown together for her sister’s wedding will Caleb finally see her for more than a friend?
I love that we get his and hers POVs, that we get into the minds of these characters, we know their thoughts and secrets even if they don’t share them with each other. I went through all the “feels” with them both. This emotional read is joyful and sexy and sometimes sad but in the end it exemplifies the “Happy Ending” so well. Loved it!
This was an easy going read t,hat kept you turning the pages and I’d finished it before I knew it .
This is the last book in the series , not having read the earlier books it was easy to understand who everyone was and can easily be read as a standalone.
I would like to read the earlier books as the characters were engaging.
Zoey has had a crush on her friends brother Caleb for years . They always end up meeting unexpectedly in surprising places and Caleb is always there when she needs his help . He is protective of her , but never had any romantic thoughts about her in the past, infact , every time they’ve met up he’s had a different woman on his arm.
Zoey sister Lacey is getting married to Caleb friend John so the two end up spending lots of time together as the maid of honour and Best Man.
Their attraction sizzles between them and they give in to their feelings . Caleb has underlying health problems that cast a shadow over their fledgling relationship and he sabotages it with an unwise decision that devastates Zoey and leaves him having to try to redeem himself.
I recommend this book to readers who like Melissa foster .
