A mask is temporary, even if we don’t realize it. My mask was put in place against my will. It was securely fastened by my mother and all of her judgements and expectations, and I willingly hid behind it until I could no longer bear it—until my mask slowly slipped away as I looked in the mirror and caught a glimpse of who I truly am, and what I really want. After being made to feel enough … enough embarrassment and shame to last a lifetime, I realize I have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. My therapist, Dr. Malcolm Colson, has helped me remove my shackles, and I’m able to take my time learning what pleases me. I won’t let judgement hold me back, I won’t be shamed into chastity, and I will no longer allow myself to go unsatisfied.
Now that the mask is off, I’ll never hide behind it again. Instead, I’ll discover what my needs are, and never again settle for a man who isn’t capable of meeting them.

Once again we enter the world of Dr. Malcolm Colson and again this continuing story doesn’t disappoint at all. You get to see two stories running side by side. One of the patients and Malcolm’s own. These books are very clever and diverse. I’d say you almost get therapy sessions whilst reading them.
The story this time is about Tessa one of Malcolm’s patients. It starts off as relationship therapy but becomes so much more for me. I don’t really want to delve into it too far, as these books are great to read first hand.
As well as reading about Tessa, you also get to read the developing relationship between Malcolm and Ava. One that I am unsure is stable or will even work out but it shows different sides of people and it keeps you on your toes and guessing as to what will occur.
This book is a great read and a huge recommendation from me. This author’s words are so underestimated and he deserves more of a wider audience.

Wow I can’t explain how much I am loving these books, but I will try my best to. In this book we continue long with therapist Malcolm as we get more in depth to his own personal life and we also get a new set of patients he is helping. It starts with Brandon and Tessa having relationship issues after being together for 2 years, Brandon is a jerk and Tessa is use to doing what others expect her to do so things don’t seem to work out for them, but Tessa continues her therapy with Malcolm. Tessa is out to find herself and what she likes or does not like, Malcolm helps her along the way being a great supportive person helping her along her path while also dealing with his own personal issues. Malcolm was a fantastic therapist and he knew exactly what he wanted out of his relationship and life in general and while I don’t think he handled Ava too well because let’s face it she is bat crap crazy. I did love seeing how someone who is so strong, powerful, and confident that helped others easily didn’t exactly have his own life in order, but he was trying. These books keep amazing me and each one I love that we see new patients with new issues for Malcolm to help them through all while watching him try to navigate his own life. It’s a refreshing take on romance novels and very unique, I also love how the author tries to empower women and say that it is ok to be who you want to be so forget what others have to think about how you live your life.
I really enjoyed reading Shameless which is the second book in this new series by W.S. Greer. Dr. Malcolm Colson is a relationship and sex therapist and I once again loved observing Malcolm helping his patients.
This book focuses on Tessa who has started having therapy sessions with Malcolm for relationship advice. I absolutely loved witnessing the transformation in her as she, with Malcolm’s help, works out what she wants in life and gains the confidence to make some necessary changes. She is a lovely person and I wish her a happy and successful future.
In the last book we saw Malcolm enter a Dom/Sub relationship with his ex-patient Ava. They are so suited for each other in a sexual way but I was left wondering at the end of the last book if he had bitten off more than he can chew. Seeing their relationship develop in this instalment hasn’t filled me with any confidence for him at all. I love that their interactions have me on edge and I cannot wait to see what develops in the next book.
