From International Bestseller Michelle Heard, comes a new, sexy novel in the Enemies To Lovers series.RHETTEvie Cole. She’s the one person I can’t figure out. People say they love you, but what they really mean is that they love how you make them feel about themselves, or what they can take from you.I can’t leave her on the streets, so I make her a deal she can’t refuse. It buys me the time I … refuse. It buys me the time I need to figure out whether Evie is the real deal or just another gold-digger.
The day Evie graduates, she breaks all contact with me, which proves that she was only in it for the money.
At least, that’s what I think, until random payments are made to my bank account.
EVIE
Rhett Daniels. My hero, who saved me from a life on the street. My unrequited love, who will sleep with every girl but me.
His playful smile and humorous façade might fool others, but not me. I see myself in his eyes.
He only has one rule.
He’ll pay for my education, giving me a chance to become independent. All I have to do is keep my clothes on which also means no dating.
I hate being his charity case, but I tell myself it will only be until I graduate. I will find a way to pay him back.
The worst part is that I fell in love with him.
Hoping to forget the one man I can never have, I move to the other side of the country. I’m determined to make it on my own, but things don’t always work out the way we want them to.
This is book #5 in the Enemies To Lovers Series. Each book in the series is about a different couple. To get the full experience of their friendship, I’d recommend that you start with Heartless.
Reading Order:
Heartless – Carter & Della
Reckless – Logan & Mia
Careless – Jaxson & Leigh
Ruthless – Marcus & Willow
Shameless – Rhett & Evie

SHAMELESS (AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS NOVEL BOOK 5) is the last of the books about The Crew. This one is Rhett Daniels and Evie Cole’s Story. I think it might be the best out of the bunch, and a good way to end the series.
Evie is just about to turn eighteen. Which means she ages out of the foster system. She would gladly leave the awful care of Eric and Charlotte. But has no where to go, or family to help. She decides to live on the streets, better then stay where her future was not looking bright. At her rock bottom lowest is when she meets 19 year old Rhett. She can’t believe he is willing to help her, just because she reminds him of his younger sister Mia. But he does, and for a few years he is her hero, but only treats her as a friend. They both want more from each other, but won’t cross the line. So Evie leaves the only place she ever felt safe, and where she felt she belonged.
Years pass and the time has not been easy for Evie. Rhett is the only one of the five friends of The Crew who has not found his true love. He still regrets ever letting Evie slip away. Fate will once again draw the two together. But lots of time has past and it might be too late for “Second Chances”!
A very good ending for all in this series!!
This was so bittersweet for me. I was so excited to finally get Rhett & Evie’s story, but I love this series so much I never wanted it to end! That said this was an epic finale to one of my absolute favorite series. Spanning the years from when Evie and Rhett first meet all the way to the present their story is full of heartbreak, sweetness, swoony romance, and more. Like every single book before it with the screw crew I was immediately glued to the pages as soon as I started reading it.
Rhett and Evie are even more than I thought they’d be. Evie’s past is even more heartbreaking than Rhett’s and these two damaged souls come together with explosive chemistry right out of the gate. Their start shows a whole other side to Rhett that we’ve gotten glimpses of before. Even when I occasionally wanted to smack him I still loved him. He has such a deeply caring heart even when he doesn’t realize it himself it’s impossible not to love him.
I adored Evie even more than Rhett. Her strength and will to keep going no matter the circumstances made her someone I found myself rooting for. The things she overcame while still remaining a genuinely good person and the way she truly loved Rhett were pure beauty. Add in my ultimate favorite of Miss Sebastian and this book is pure gold!
4*
Evie’s life has been hard the foster home isn’t all it should be. Having no option she runs away.
Rhett hires a cleaning company to tidy up after a party, playing a trick on his friends. He never expected to see someone as young as Evie.
The draw to protect her is instant he comes up with a solution but can he convince her to accept?
I’ve loved reading this series and was desperate for Rhett’s story and I loved how Evie didn’t make things easy for him.
Great series
Evie runs from her foster home know that when she turns eighteen she will be given no choice but to work for her foster parents as a prostitute. Struggling on the street, Evie finally finds a job that she hopes will get her off the street and fed.
Evie wasn’t expecting to meet Rhett and for him to offer her something beyond her wildest dreams, pay her tuition, pay for her expenses, all she has to do is keep her clothes on. When Rhett sees Evie all he can think is that could have been his sister and he wants to help Evie get what she wants in her life.
Rhett fights what he feels for Evie with he’s past issues making him believe that people only love you for what they take from you. Rhett sees Evie dressed up one night and says something that he regrets, after going to her he learns about her past and it only makes him feel more for her. Evie forgives him because she knows her heart won’t let her not. Knowing the only thing that Evie can do to save herself as much as she loves Rhett, seeing Rhett with other women and to stop the hurt is to leave.
When Rhett see the deposit from Evie he knows he’s screws up the one good thing he had and for Evie it was never about the money and only hopes he can get her back and that she hasn’t moved on with someone else.
Loved, little Danny, loved her and the moment that her and Evie had. I loved Miss Sebastian and how the crew all accepts her for who she is and how she loves their angel-girls and hope that Rhett finds his bejewelled land of fantasy. An amazing series and an amazing ending to the series.
Brazenly love this book! 5 stars
I felt for Evie right away because of her past and her circumstances. She has never felt seen or loved, and it broke my heart. Rhett intrigued me from reading about him in all the other series of books, and I was not disappointed! He has a freaky and twisted side which shocked me but I loved it! Rhett sees Evie, really sees her, and he helps her to a build better life. But he has his issues because of his past as well. He becomes her protector and benefactor, and they become friends. What happens when they both have stronger feelings for each other? Life was what happens. Evie’s journey was so satisfying, and I can’t say more without spoiling it! Rhett was the jokester womanizer, and his journey away from that was satisfying as well. He even made me swoon! This whole series has given me so many feels, tears and smiles, and I feel like I have a new group of friends that I love with all my heart! I definitely recommend this book and series!
Oh Rhett!!! My heart hurt for you and I am extremely happy that he gets an HEA. Rhett finally pulls is head out of his butt and gets his life together. Evie, oh Evie, she is a strong/brave women. She knew the life she didn’t want and fought hard to not become it. I love the connection between all of the characters. Rhett and Evie are my favorite out of this series. I still need more of them and Miss Sebastian.
You’ve broken me and put me back together with Rhett’s story. Trust is the glue that forms a lasting bond in a relationship. For one to work it has to be two sided with both side working together. Rhett expected Evie to trust him, even though she had never had anyone look out for her. However he couldn’t trust Evie enough to be honest with her. He built walls so high around his heart that they couldn’t be penetrated. Rhett couldn’t even be honest with himself, he pushed one two many buttons and Evie was gone.
I loved this series, the characters, the storyline and everything about it. I’ve never shed so many tears or laughed so hard. Highly recommend you start reading this one.
Wow i dont even know what to say but it was so worth the wait for this amazing story that will grab you from the beginning and hold you tell the very end. The writing is beautiful and grabs you. This book will have your heart in bunches..
Love this series!
Due to his past, Rhett has major trust issues. He’s got a heart of gold but can’t bring himself to trust people. When he meets Evie he wants to help her and get her off the streets. He has feelings for her but still can’t bring himself to trust her…
Evie leaves, making him realise how much she meant to him…
Is it too late? Can he convince Evie that he loves her?
We get to the last book in the series, Rhett is the last member of the ScrewCrew to tell us his story. I longed for this outcome. The most mysterious character finally gains voice. Rhett and Evie will take the reader to experience various sensations during reading. Their journey was hard, sad, heavy and lonely. Until the happy ending, much path is traveled. But even in the midst of such adversity, their story is brilliant.
Rhett was always portrayed as the bon vivant. Since he was very young, he does not let anyone approach, only his sister is the only person he cares about. After so many things that have happened in his life since childhood, he ranks that people do not like others for simply liking it, some compensation these people are after. People like money and what you can give them. This is his view of the world. Until he meets Evie, while he plays a joke with the boys. She, so different from the people he usually knows, will teach him that not all people are good out of interest. Sometimes they just like you.
Evie lives in hell. Born in orphanages and living in foster homes, at the age of thirteen she finally believes that she has got the family she has always dreamed of, but soon realizes that wolves sometimes dress as lambs. At the age of eighteen, the only option to continue with a roof over her head is to prostitute herself, which she does not accept, so she runs off and lives in the streets. That part of the book, where its chronicles Evie’s past, the situations she’s lived through will make the reader shed a few tears. When she finally gets a job, her new job is somewhat peculiar: she will clean houses with only a thong and high heels.
Rhett by hiring the cleaning service, he did not imagine that his life would change. What was meant to be a joke, ends with him rescuing a terrified, very thin girl and appearing to be much younger than she claims. Unable to explain the reason, all his protective instincts arise and he will make of his mission to protect Evie and to give her a better life. With a proposal to pay for her studies, her housing and her expenses in exchange for her to keep her clothes fixed to the body, a friendship is born between the two. But not everything is perfect.
Evie slowly falls in love with her savior. And little by little she resents, because this love is not reciprocated. Day after day she watches the countless women who go through Rhett’s life, knowing that she will never be one of them. Rhett is not sure how he feels about her. He knows that he desires her, but love is not a word he recognizes.
A heartbreaking farewell and six years of separation. And the book breaks into the present, to show how these two will understand each other. I loved the part of the past. The construction of the friendship and feelings of the two was written beautifully. The two in a young version melted my heart. At the present, Rhett, upon discovering something important, realizes that Evie was never a gold digger, that he thought her wrong, that she liked him for who he was, and decides to go after her. Finally!
The current part of the book for me presents problems. Evie struggled so hard to ends worse than she was. Her new work is a setback to all her effort to study. Her new boyfriend, disturbed by the way, could create a tension, but it was neutralized very quickly. A very important person who is introduced in her way was a good move, but the whole meeting was fast, without further explanation. The book was very rushed in its final stages.
Rhett steals the scene. Whether it’s fighting for Evie, finally opening up and letting her get close, whether it’s interacting with Danny (what was the scene of Let it go?), jumping from bungee jump or in the conversations with Miss Sebastian, Rhett was a good protagonist. Evie suffered a lot and finally got her happy ending. More than deserved. A good ending, a beautiful story. The ScrewCrew will stay in my memory.
PS: Evie’s scene at McDonald’s devouring the food broke me.
To say that I have been waiting my entire life for Shameless is an understatement, ever since I started the Enemies to Lovers series I have been wanting Rhett’s book. Michelle saved the best for the last. Every story built us up for this moment, raising the bar for the angsty goodness she had in store for us.
Rhett has a secret life that he has hidden from everyone, including his friends. More importantly, he has hidden his love for Danny away for years. Suddenly after finding her when he thought he had lost her forever, he decided to no longer hide away and he will win the girl at all cost.
Danny has loved Rhett since he saved her from the streets, but she never thought that he would see her as anything but a little sister. After cutting ties with Rhett, he finds her and weasels his way back into her heart. Will she fight her feelings or will she give into the love for the only man that has ever truly cared for her.
Michelle weaves us a tale of love and loss that we can all relate too. I can not wait to see what she has in store for us next.
I loved that this story was the last on the series, it’s what i had been waiting for. The thing i love is that this whole series is my favorite each book was so different and i really liked each one so equally.
I did feel like the other books in series were the lead up to Shameless just because Evie and Rhett were so prominent in the others and These guys stories were there bursting to come out.
I loved how we got the back story to this couple and it really set the picture of where this story was going to go and i loved that we really got to know Rhett and Evie from thier pasts to thier futures
Rhett alway ms hid behind his joking bravado but really all that was underneath was a scared boy and man who was too afraid to trust and love and he pushed the only woman away that he would love. He thought he was different and that no one would accept who he was but when you have a family of friends who love unconditionally and a girl who fell in love you so innocently it takes a while to realise your not alone and not everyone wants to know you or be with you because of your status.
Evie’s story was so heartbreaking, it was emotional for the first half of this book because you couldn’t believe what she went through and how brave she was to make the decisions she did, at least one decision led her to Rhett. I really loved Evie all she wanted in life was to be happy to know that she came from a family that wanted her and be so independent. I must admit Evie was one of my favorite characters to see her get her happy ending.
This book was pretty angsty, full of drama, it was emotional and by the end i was laughing. I loved reading about the previous characters and it was so good to see how it all turned out for these guys from the Screw Crew.
Loved this book a massive 5 stars for them but also another massive 5 stars for this series one of my favorites for 2017/2018.
4.5 Stars – Loved Rhett!!
What a great read! I especially loved Evie’s development and how strong her character was.
I knew a little about this story already from the previous book but it did not prepare me for the way it’s seen from Evie’s POV. I admired her strength in all those horrible situations she’s been in and that she came out stronger in the end.
The story had a good flow and I feel like the author improved with each book in this series on how she told her stories.
I normally dread the part where h and H are separated but here I loved it as much as when they were together because other awesome characters filled the void. One of them we’ve already met – Miss Sebastian. Her character was phenomenal and absolutely hilarious. She always made me laugh and I hope we will see her again in the future. I also loved having the entire group together again especially since it’s the end of the series and it was like a nice goodbye.
The Story:
Evie had a tough start in life and living on the streets is harder than she imagined it would be, but it’s still a lot better than staying with her foster parents. Although it’s not an ideal job, Evie is glad to have work at all, even when it meant cleaning other people’s houses in nothing but a slip and heels.
When Rhett’s eyes land on her, he can’t believe that a young girl like her does such a job. His protectiveness takes over and he wants to help her no matter how stubborn she is to make it on her own. Because he was given such a chance from Mr. Heyes, without whom he wouldn’t know where he’d be, and now he wants to pay it forward because everyone deserves a chance.
Thoughts:
Generally, I loved the book and couldn’t stop reading. There were just tiny things I’d have liked differently but that’s just my personal opinion. For example the thing with Kyle felt a bit half-assed thrown in where it was needed. I would have liked there to be more trouble or generally for him to be more a part of the story or otherwise to not have him at all.
It’s with a laughing and a crying eye that I say goodbye to this series and its characters because as sad as it is to see them go, I can’t wait for the next series. I hope it’s about the guys that had a short part in this book. =P
Shameless was so worth the wait and anticipation. Michelle saved the best for the last. With every story in the series Michelle kept on raising the bar and I honestly had high expectations for this story and Michelle didn’t disappoint me she super ceded what I had expected . I literally devoured the story as soon as it was delivered to my kindle. I had received an advance copy from the author literally after shamelessly stalking poor Michelle and she was very sweet to give me the advance copy of this book. I fell so much in love with this story that I had to buy my own copy. It was totally captivating and spectacular journey. It was beyond what I had expected.
This story was charged on so many different levels and played with heart and emotions. Rhett’s character had really attracted me from the first scene he was introduced in Heartless and as the series went through I got more and more attracted to his character. He was the joker , flirt and playboy but there was so much more to him. He is hiding behind this facade of being a guy with no moral values who goes through one night stands but his interactions with Evie and also the way he treats Mia and later Danny proves that he is a rare gem . The strong bond between the guys was strong as ever and it was shining out throughout the story. I loved Rhett and Danny’s interactions and bond that was just heart meltingly adorable. The last chapter and epilogue was just fabulously written. Such a perfect ending for this series. I can’t believe this series has ended. Be read to be Rhett-azzled in Shameless. Rhett will totally touch your heart and win you over .
I will miss all the characters from this series, definitely one of the BEST Series I read , honestly I enjoyed each and every story of this book and couldn’t say one was better than the other all the books in this series were equally entertaining and engaging. It’s sad to see this series end and say bye to the characters.
Michelle talents shines through this series in each and every book with leaps and bonds she is truly a brilliant author. Absolutely Loved Shameless , it’s worth infinite stars rating Would highly recommend this book and series.
I absolutely loved Rhett and Evie’s story!! This book was so many things……heartbreaking, sexy and funny, all rolled into one great package. It was a total page turner from the very beginning. But knowing this was the final installment j had to slow myself down and really savor each page because I really didn’t want it to end.
