War veteran Kennedy O’Brien is in the business of sticking it to the man—or at least any man who tries to cross a woman. After she returned home from Afghanistan and caught her husband in bed with the nanny, Kennedy lost her faith in men and started Fool Me Once Investigations with her two best friends. After all, there’s no better bounty hunter than a woman scorned. When Kennedy takes a case to … case to slap cuffs on a bail jumper turned dog-napper, she figures it’ll be an easy paycheck. But trouble has a way of finding Kennedy. Enter the last man on the planet she’d willingly choose as a partner: her cheating ex-husband’s best friend, Griffin Crawford.
As gorgeous as he is unwelcome, Griffin has always had a thing for Kennedy, and after keeping quiet about her ex’s cheating, he’ll do anything to earn back her trust. Whether or not she wants to admit it, Kennedy will need help as the case of the Chihuahua thief spirals out of control. Griffin may be just her man—in more ways than one.

It was a fun and flirty book. I loved listening to it. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I definitely recommend this book, this author, and this series.

I purchased this book on Amazon.

“GD busting-back-door requests.”
Kennedy runs a badass business with her badass lady besties. And when a new case rolls in, Kennedy doesn’t expect the person that rolls in with it. As the case heats up behind closed doors, sincere truths get revealed.
I wasn’t sure I would like this book because I wasn’t sure how I felt about the PI aspect… but I very much enjoyed this one. The characters are fantastic, the plot is comedic, and the pacing is fast. Early Tara Sivec is absolute gold.
I adored the characters in this book. Kennedy, Paige, and Lorelei are strong, intelligent, sassy, capable, and absolute badasses. Griffin is the most dreamy love interest. The side characters were all so funny. Tara has such an incredible gift for bringing her characters to life, whether it’s a main or side character. Their personalities are so well developed and so thorough that you feel like you know these people.
I think I am going to enjoy this series. Book one was steamy, funny and full of chaos. I cannot wait to see what book two contains!
This was pure fun to listen to! Great characters, side characters, banter and humor. Narration by Amy McFadden was perfect.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s my first Tara Sivec book and it was great. Kennedy was my kind of woman. She was funny, brave, strong and she was ready to cut a mf if need be. Griffin was yummy, sexy, and funny. I loved them together. This book had tons of sexual tension. I also loved Kennedy’s two besties, and I can’t wait for their books. I loved Kennedy’s dad. Really the whole book was very funny. I laughed and smiled the whole time. The only reason this book is 4 stars and not 5 is because I felt it should have been longer. The ending felt rushed. I wanted more!
Tara Sivec does it again. I’m not even sure it’s possible to “accomplish” half of the wildly entertain things that happen in this book. But as the rule says, what happens in this book…id talked about everywhere.
Shame On You is fun, zany, and of course romantic. You may not think Soldier of Fortune magazine is entertain but there’s a young girl in here chomping a the bit for it. A flustered former Army mom, her ex best friend, her ex husband, and a family that considers new side jobs.
I absolutely adored the crazy, embraced the insane, and faked an accent or two…
