The Scoop
By now you’re probably aware that the Alex Troutt thrillers, Ivy Nash thrillers, and the Ozzie Novak thrillers are all under the same Redemption Thriller Series umbrella. Why? Because, ultimately, they all connect — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. How? That’s part of the mystery that I’m slowly unveiling throughout the Redemption Thriller Series.
Through each sub-series, characters from different books appear in the other novels. If it adds suspense, intrigue, or even a good laugh, I’ve included a cross-over character — it’s a lot more fun that way. Plus — and here’s the real kicker — the final six novels will bring all of the major characters together — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. It will be explosive and gut-wrenching…in a way that will leave you breathless.more
Ozzie and Ivy, two private investigators, face the underbelly of the Austin crime scene to find a missing woman, and solve a decade old mystery as well. Interesting and action packed. It was a good read while traveling; kept my interest the whole time.
The book was a decent read most of the way through. However, the ending was surprisingly boring.
Well written. Any book by John W Mefford has been good. I’ve read several of them and recommend any and all of them.
Mediocre story. I found the narrator changes to be confusing especially early in the novel. Needs a better proofreader.
There are just no lengths that Ozzie and Ivy, characters in Shame On You book in the Redemption Thriller Series, Book #4, will not go to in order to salvage a child no matter their age. DEEP passion dedicated to save the young who are vulnerable and get compromised in life and they go after the perpetrators with a vengeance, which is as it should be. The villains get “handled” in no uncertain terms, (the “how” is exciting), and for the reader that is very gratifying after discovering all the victims have gone through. In Shame On You characters get even more developed in their relationships as a whole as well as individually. I remain in awe how John Mefford can create wonderful characters, and plots and keep it all together, unfolding for the readers pleasure, but some how he does. And does it masterfully. Such smooth reading, and exciting reading as well. Layers upon layers of developing and growing characters by Mr. Mefford as he writes and unfolds a story line that is captivating, and exciting. Lot of social redeeming quality to his books as well. No reader can fail in their decision to embark on this journey that The Redemption Thriller Series brings to the table of reading and continues it in Book #4 Shame ON You. The word “WOW” comes to my mind when trying to describe my reading experience with this series and THIS book, Shame ON You is no exception. Thank you John Mefford for delivering. AGAIN! HIGHLY recommend this book and the rest of the books in this series.
Great read! Love this series, each book is better than the previous one, real page turners.
Another excellent story. Ozzie is learning to be a father to Mackenzie while helping Ivy Nash look for a missing girl. Ozzie and Ivy work really well together on a search with many twists and turns and a surprising ending. John Mefford never ceases to amaze.
Ivy Nash makes an appearance in this Ozzie thriller and I was so excited to have them work together on a case! Ivy is in town trying to trace a missing girl, (or young woman rather as she is 23 years old) Chantel is an addict who turned to drugs after her sister went missing 10 years previous, after that event she rebels and turned to drugs to get over her sisters disappearance. This story line was intermixed with a few other and as usual Mefford managed to weave them all together seamlessly, and make all the ends tie. How he does it I do not know, as this story brings about something far bigger than a missing girl in the end.
With Ivy being on the scene, Ozzie adjusting to fatherhood and few little comments throughout have got the wheels turning in my head regarding Ozzie and Ivy – could they become an item? or is there something else that may connect them together. There is something greater bubbling under the surface connecting Ozzie, Ivy and Alex and I cant wait to find out what it is,,,,, of course I may be totally wrong!
Here we go again. Another unbelievable installment in the Redemption Thriller series. Ozzie, Mackenzie, Brook and Tito are at it again only this time the case concerns dead and/or missing girls. Quite a surprise this time as he teams up with Ivy in a joint PI operation throughout the whole book. Again Ozzie gets involved with really bad people on one hand, and total insanity on the other hand. It may not sound like it, but this series is really, really fun. You actually could jump into this book an independent story, since it has a beginning, middle and satisfactory ending, but you would really be cheating yourself of an incredible saga. I believe this is book 16 in the entire series. Trust me, this series is well worth the investment. I cannot even imagine where the next book will take us. Loved it.
