From USA Today Bestselling Author Cora Kenborn comes a steamy friends-to-enemies-to-lovers story of revenge, redemption, and self-acceptance.
She warned me she’d ruin me.
I should’ve listened.
Instead, I sacrificed my future for her and then spent seven years hating her for it.
Now a scandalous fall from grace has landed her at my feet.
Under my command.
It’s time to unleash the … at my feet.
Under my command.
It’s time to unleash the payback I’ve always craved.
Unfortunately, revenge doesn’t taste as sweet as the woman I vowed to destroy.
Change of plans.
I want more than her pain.
I want her everything.

Shallow is a book about the journey of forgiveness. Cary and Shiloh knew each other when they were in high school. Shiloh took advantage of Cary’s love for her one night and did something that seemed unforgivable. Seven years later Shiloh and Cary meet again. Cary is a changed man but Shiloh seems to be the same shallow person she’s always been. Cary doesn’t know how to react to her return. He battles with his feelings towards her and whether to exact revenge now that he has his chance or forgive her. It’s not only about Cary’s forgiveness of Shiloh but also Shiloh’s forgiveness of herself and her mother. All the characters learn a lot about themselves and each other throughout the book. I love the man Cary’s become. He has been able to overcome every bad event in his life to become a role model to younger boys. Just when you think there is a happy ever after there is another plot twist and you’ll start questioning whether Shiloh and Cary can ever truly forgive. I highly recommend this book!

Shallow by Cora Kenborn
Ms Kenborn has raised her literary bar once again…. By a milestone! What an absolute blinder of a novel.
There is a very thin line between Love and Hate as Cary Kincaid finds out when his first love Shiloh returns to town. Sparks fly – with all the colours and bangs of a firework!
This novel will draw you in, bringing your every emotion to the forefront and at the end ? You’ll feel bereft that you have just reached the end.
I had patiently or not, awaited this New Release by Cora Kenborn; she most certainly exceeded ALL my expectations and delivered a truly phenomenal book. I highly recommend SHALLOW!
A brilliantly penned masterpiece, Shallow took me on an intense and emotional ride. The reader is yanked right into the story on page one and is held captive, quickly turning pages and losing all track of time. Shiloh is an extremely shallow, selfish and egotistical character that you just want to hate. Carrick “Cary” Kincaid is one who is not only infatuated with her as her lawn boy, but the one who knows the real her, not the mask that she wears and the facade she portrays to others. One night changes it all and Cary is sent down the road of distrust, anger and his lust for revenge continues to build over seven years.
The storyline completely ripped my heart out and at first, I was happy that paybacks were coming to Shiloh. However, the story slowly starts to move towards the paths of redemption and forgiveness, finally ending not only with acceptance, but of love. This love being not only the love and respect for others, but more importantly, the love for oneself.
Bonus of course was the insanely hot sexual tension between Shiloh and Cary and watching the slow, smouldering burn continuing to build and combust. The depth of the secondary characters were remarkable and they enhanced Shiloh’s and Cary’s story perfectly. I have read all of the books written by this author and I firmly believe that this is her best work to date. I highly recommend this as a one-click must read. Make sure you have a clear calendar for a few hours as once you start reading the first page, you’re not going to want to put it down.
Review willingly being left on behalf of Reading Through Her Eyes
Shiloh is on top of the world, has an amazing career as a model. She lives the life most people can only dream about. Cary is the boy that she left behind without a backwards glance. He gave up his future, he hated her for it. But what happens when these two meet again 7 years after they parted, you need to read to find out!
Overall Thoughts: This book was written in a way that kept you on the edge of your seat as you kept turning the page wanting to know what was going to happen next. It’s full of emotion, sexual tension, and is a thrilling ride. You can’t help but want to hate both characters, and yet still love them. This is a book you need to read.
Shiloh West has the perfect life, the perfect body and face.. Life is amazing… or is it? Being a model is all glitz and glamour, but at what cost?
When life throws her one hell of a curve ball, she isn’t prepared. Her life is uprooted and she has to roll with the punches and hope for the best. This could be the best thing that has happened to her or the worse, and her money is on the latter.
Carrie Kincaid runs a community center, his life did not go according to plan, AT ALL. He picked up the pieces and made the most of it, but it hasn’t been easy for him, and it definitely has everything to do with Shiloh West.
Can these two make amends or will one of them crack?
This book was so jam packed full of drama, emotions, heart, and turmoil and I was there for every second of it. I loved it. I cried as if my heart had been broken for the first time but then it was put back together so beautifully I couldn’t quit smiling. It was everything.
Me being a person who loves reading about love, passion and overcoming obstacles, but being a person who doesn’t believe in love for myself, this book has changed me. Can we please address the issue of why in the heck haven’t I read Cora’s books until now? Wth was wrong with me. I am a fan for life now, before it was because of how amazing she is as a person, now it is due to her work and her way of being able to capture you and do what many stories are unable to do for me… Take me away from the real world and let me live in a world that still isn’t perfect. A world were mistakes are made, but people try to right their wrongs. A place that is not the real world, but you are able to see characters overcome obstacles, imperfectness. It even gave me a cut a b moment or two…. or three… That is what Shallow was to me. “breaks out into song” I cannot wait to dive into more of Cora Kenborn’s stories and I totally suggest you do the same.
