A see yourself out note isn’t how you want to celebrate the morning after your first one-night stand. The first time I meet Archer Callahan is when I block him in a parking spot. The second is a fender bender. The third is at a bar, drinking away our problems, and finding our way to his bed.I never expected to see him again. That changes when a month later, he’s introduced as my brother’s new … introduced as my brother’s new business partner.
In need of a job, I’m hired at their bar, much to Archer’s dismay.
We hate each other.
We’re off-limits.
But every time we’re together, flashbacks of that night shake through us.
We push, we pull, until one of us breaks.

Georgia and Archer’s romance is heated, angst driven and will torture your heart. It’s worth every single minute! Charity Ferrell gives one heck of a story with Shaken, book two in her Twisted Fox series.
Now if you have read book one then you know the heat and hate between Georgia and Archer. What comes off as chemistry driven enemies to lovers in glimpses in Stirred, is definitely more. A happenstance meeting between Georgia and Archer allows them to see each other at their worst. Although they clash almost instantly, there is a kindred spirit of brokenness between these characters that pulls them together. While I suggest that you read Stirred, I can tell you that you don’t have to read it in order to follow along with Georgia and Archer’s love/hate relationship. Believe me, Ferrell delivers way more with Shaken that’ll fill in all the details.
Whether its the hate chemistry, the deeply complex emotional pain these characters face or the rowdy group of friends who give them hell, Shaken is absolutely well worth the read. Ferrell keeps you interested throughout the novel with sexy scenes, wishful thinking and hope. Georgia is a fire cracker who is determined to rise above what life has offered her. Her heart is golden and you can’t help but root for her throughout this book. I really enjoyed this one!
Under your skin and into your heart stays forever on your mind. Ferrell is repeat offender on my MUST READ list. She speaks to that hidden piece of self-doubt and inspires it to become an ember of hope. Georgia and Archer continue my infatuation with the Twisted Fox series. They dare to be vulnerable, have to be frustrating and refuse to be forgotten.
Lol! Charity and her creative craft have given the reading community not only another slam dunk, but also a chemical romance that will leave you breathless. Not to mention, whiplash!! This beautiful story is complicated and enriching to your soul and you will love every single moment and every single word!!
Archer was far beyond an A-Hole. However, usually individuals with a bad attitude and personality to match your boring and hideous grandma’s wallpaper, also have a deep story that will haunt you and them. Archer could have never prepared himself for the amount of personality and blossoming spirit of Georgia Fox. Georgia is far beyond his comprehension and leaves him rethinking everything he believed to be a fact. Georgia is Archers Kryptonite. She tests his patience and gives him a run for his money that has him questioning his own sanity.
Georgia Fox is truly one unique individual. She will put smiles on your face that will reach your heart. Her enthusiastic personality and infectious smile is hard to swallow even if you weren’t the complicated Archer. And Archer gives her headaches that will last a lifetime if she allowed them too. With her own deep seeded abandonment issues, Georgia can only come to certain conclusions as to why Archer is the way he is. And not to mention when he’s a close friend and business partner of your brother, it doesn’t make it any better. Georgia will be tried and tested and the only way to come out of us unscathed is to have never placed herself in the wrong place at the wrong (right?) Time.
Charity and her genius work skills bring you a laugh out loud beautiful romance that will leave a beautiful reminder of second chances, loving unconditionally and deep rooted loyalty.
5 STARS all the way
Charity Ferrell
Archer has some demons in his past. He is full of guilt and refuses to allow himself to be happy, he doesn’t think he deserves to be happy. Georgia storms into his life as a one night stand who becomes so much more.
Shaken by Charity Ferrell is the perfect title for this book. It’s full of ups and downs. The writing is wonderful as is the story line. Georgia’s friends are fiercely protective and know exactly what she needs, even if she doesn’t agree. I’ll be waiting on pins and needles for the next one.
This was a 4.5 Read
I have been waiting for this one since I finished Stirred.
This one hit a few of my favourite tropes… brothers best friend, enemies to lovers, second chance romance.
Georgia and Archer have heaps of chemistry together from their very first meeting.
After a series of random run-ins… they eventually have a one night stand.
Georgia thinks this is fate…
Archer takes a step back because of his own emotional baggage… and then because it turns out she is his business partners little sister. Archer believes he is not good for Georgia.
I really felt for Archer and his struggles… wanting Georgia so badly but denying himself because he’s afraid of hurting her.
I must say the fighting, flirting and when these two work things out it’s hot. They just seem to complete each other.
Looking forward to more from this series.
I was given an ARC but voluntarily chose to review
Think of the person of the opposite sex who you love to hate, and would hate to love. Now times that by 100, and you will have the amount of tension between Georgia and Archer. These two meet by fate several times, and in a few different ways that seems that the universe is screaming they need each other. Georgia is not the kind of girl who backs down from a challenge, and often seems a glutton for punishment. Archer has demons that have been shoved so far back in his closet he doesn’t even know the first thing about getting to them to process his life. This book spans a several year period, but I never once felt that I was missing out on anything.
I constantly asked myself will they, or won’t they? Is this the happily ever after, or not? These questions are answered in the book, and the path to get there is littered with many different obstacles along the way.
4-1/2 STARS!
I was really looking forward to Archer & Georgia’s story after seeing the sexual tension between the two of them in Stirred. This book defined the term sexual tension.
I couldn’t help but want to scream at Archer for half the book. He had been through so much & I could understand why he was the way he was. Archer’s backstory was rough & I kind of wanted more of it. I felt bad for poor Georgia with the constant back & forth. I loved Georgia, she was the friend every girl wants. She had so much love to give & forgiveness in spades. They ended being exactly what the other needed.
I loved getting to see the whole Twisted Fox crew & meeting the new characters. I’m probably the most excited for Lola & Silas. I want to know what’s going on there.
The only thing I wasn’t hugely sold on was all the time jumps. Sometimes I was super confused on how much time had passed. Even with the headings saying one month but then the way the characters would talk it seemed longer than that. Maybe it’s cause I’m reading this late at night my brain isn’t firing on all cylinders.
I received an arc of this book in return for an honest review.
Has a relationship shaken you to your very core? Has meeting someone shaken you to your soul? Do you know you should walk away, but you know you can’t? Shaken is a story filled with these very questions.
Shaken is more than an enemies to lovers romance. This is a story about two people destined to be together, but fight against every obstacle and emotion in their way to actually be together. No matter how many signs say they should be together, both Archer and Georgia ignore them, turn away from them, or blatantly refuse to read them. Stubborn to the core, these two lovers butt heads until the very end, but sizzle off the page while they do it.
Archer’s life is a mess. The only way he holds himself together is by keeping people out of it. A beautiful tornado like Georgia is exactly what he doesn’t need showing up in his life, but he can’t seem to escape the bright ray of sunshine that always lights up his dark mood.
He carries a ton of guilt upon his shoulders and with this burdon he sees himself as truly having no future with anyone by his side. His dark mood isn’t Georgia specific, it just gets wrapped up in her as time ventures on.
Georgia didn’t exactly grow up in ideal circumstances, but that doesn’t mean she lives a glum life. She shines a bright light everywhere she goes and grouchy Archer doesn’t seem to appreciate it. Working together doesn’t dampen her spirit, but sometimes she wonders how much longer she can keep pulling him back from the demons he carries.
Georgia is so full of life, the complete opposite of Archer. Perhaps it’s why they seek one another out. Georgia has so much to give and his darkness needs her light. This is a story that is filled with a lot of passion and a lot of emotion.
Shaken is a story you can read as a standalone, but it does interweave through the same timeline of Stirred, so if you’ve read the previous book it’s fun to see how those two books intersect, but it’s not necessary if this is your first time visiting the Twisted Fox world. You will love this as it’s completely own story focused on Archer and Georgia. A wonderful addition to this world.
Charity Ferrell never seems to disappoint which I’m not sad about. Archer & Georgia’s story I knew was going to be good when I was reading about Cohen & Jamie. I had a bone deep feeling about their story and it did not disappoint one bit. It was filled with back and forth angst, sexiness, and that physical ache in your chest that you can’t seem to go away until you finish the book. Your heart will heart with this one but in the best way. Charity has a talent in making sure your heart lands softly when it falls out of your chest.
I loved both of these characters for different reasons. Their chemistry was sparking off the pages. Their struggles were real. Every world that Charity has created so far is a world I would love to live in.
