High school junior Kylie Bates can suddenly read minds. When she touches people’s hands, she’s able to see their deepest thoughts. As if that’s not freaky enough, her dad sends her to help hottie detective, Sam Williams, track down a missing girl. Way too much pressure, especially for a girl who can’t watch Scream without getting nightmares.
Then, finding the missing girl leads to much more than … more than Kylie’s prepared for. Like discovering that her dad has been lying to her. That she has a family she never knew about. That the girls have powers similar to hers. Oh yeah, and that someone is out to get her.
When the detective’s teenage wanna-be-cop cousin, Trip Williams, approaches Kylie at school insisting she help him solve the case, she discovers Trip might be the only one she can trust, and the only one to help her unravel the secrets behind her mysterious gift.

I found this book to be a good read. The story and characters are well written and enjoyable. This author is new to me and I’m looking forward to reading more by this author. I recommend reading.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Interesting teen paranormal romantic thriller. I don’t usually go for paranormal themes but I am kind of glad I read this book. It is about Kylie a young girl, a teenager with usual teenage insecurities, awkwardness about her mannerisms, reactions to others, in particular to boys. I liked the book ,it was well written and had a good storyline. I didn’t like that the sixteen year old main character who was supposed to be a genius seemed to be clueless at times. She, also ,was fickle with her choice in romantic partners. She was crushing on one guy forever but easily switched her affections to Trip. I look forward to see what …
Lies and secrets
When I downloaded the arc on this one I did not realize that I picked it up in 2017 that was before I really did many reviews. As I was re-reading it I remember how much I enjoyed it the first time I read it. It is a story about a young woman with a gift. There are lies that surrounding her. It is such a good book with interesting …
This book was nothing like I thought it would be. For one the characters really feel like high school students and the adults treat them like teenagers for once! I didn’t care for how Trip was trying to be professionally geared toward the case because at best he is an intern and is a high school student. I didn’t find some of the internal dialogue …
I thought that this book had a lot of potential but honestly, I felt that it failed to reach it. Kylie was just OK. She was always telling you how smart she was and yet she seemed clueless. I do know that this character was only a teenager but she simply felt too underdeveloped to me. In my opinion, this caused this character to feel like a bit …
