This is a great addition to the Hugo Xavier series. It grabbed me from the beginning to the end. I hope there are more books in this series.
When Magnus, an acquaintance, calls Madeleine to ask for her help. His apartment has been burgled and something important to him has been stolen. A year ago, Magnus smoothed over an issue that came up when Novus, her security company, was broken into by mercenaries, and half of her employees were killed. Magnus helped Madeleine smooth over the issue so she has no choice but to help him. This story is a thrill ride that should not be missed. Highly recommended.

Shadow Games is the 2nd book in the Hugo Xavier Series, but I read it as a stand-alone.
Hugo Xavier – a former Swedish Special Forces soldier – is hired to retrieve an unknown stolen object of great value. The future of one of the most powerful industrial leaders in Sweden depends upon it. And his most feared competitor knows this all too well…
This book is pure action and suspense from start to finish. If you like the adventures of James Bond and Dirk Pitt, this is an absolute must-read !
I received a preview copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing.
This book is another book following the exploits of Hugo Xavier. Like Revenge the previous Hugo Xavier novel it bursts across the starting line like an overpowered hot rod. Characters continue to be more defined as the plot demands. This book is full of action and danger which is delivered in a continuous stream of mayhem. I found it difficult to put down. I read it in two sessions devouring it like a starving castaway. I normally read sci-fi but the way this author writes will keep me searching for more of his work. This book should satisfy any reader that enjoys action and adventure. I recommend this book with no reservations.

If you like your mystery thriller to be non stop action then you will love this book.
The characters are very well fleshed out and has a strong female agent. This force is an independent group like the FBI. In fact they work with all the agencies around the world. I had a good time reading this one. It kept me turning the pages until I could not keep my eyes open.
Not a bad read, I have not read the previous novel in this series. But really not needed since the author uses a lot of back story and excerpts from the previous novel in the current one. So there are very few questions about character backgrounds and plot lines. A fairly researched and detailed description of Copenhagen and Oslo. And the surrounding country side. Almost makes one feel like you are really there. Cannot wait to read other books by this author.
