Morrison “Shadow” Griggs, VP of the Cerberus MC, is a force to be reckoned with. Women fall at his feet, willing to do almost anything for a night with him.Misty Bowen is the exception. She’s young and impressionable, but with her religious upbringing, she’s able to resist Shadow’s advances… for a while at least.Never one to look back on past conquests, Shadow is surprised that he’s intrigued by … he’s intrigued by Misty, which only grows more when she seems to be done with him without a word.
Being ghosted by a twenty-one-year-old is not the norm where he’s concerned, and the rejection doesn’t sit right with him.
Life goes on, however, until Misty shows up on the doorstep of the Cerberus MC clubhouse with a surprise that rocks his entire world off of its axis.
With only the clothes on her back and the consequences of her lies and deceit, Misty needs help now more than she ever has. Alone in the world and desperate for help, she turns to the one man she thought she’d never see again.
Shadow would never turn his back on a woman in need, but his inability to forgive has always been his main character flaw. Unintended circumstances have cast Misty into his life, but will he have the ability to keep his distance when her situation necessitates a closeness he’s never dreamed of having with a woman?

I had been looking forward to Shadow’s book. He seemed so intriguing from the first two book. He did not disappoint. I went through a roller coaster of emotions through out this book. At times I wanted to smother Shadow with hugs and kiss and other times I just wanted to bop him in the head. What a great read.
If you enjoy reading about the “family” of MC members; if you feel the laughter of happiness being with friends; and, if you love the smell of a baby in arms, this is the book for you. Shadow, the tough guy, melts at the sight of his son; Misty is a hard working teacher, church member, best friend, but, can’t walk away from that big Shadow who is a war hero and all that is good. There is so much going on in this book and I felt the heartache when things went wrong. Thanks for a great story.
Misty will have your heart hurting for her. Everything that she goes thru when she was alone will make you just want to hold her and shield her from all the darkness in her life. Shadow was never a relationship kind of guy. Nope he was the typical ladies man, but then when he meets Misty things start to change for him. Then one day she just disappeared on him, to then show up at his clubs doorstep carrying a little surprise.
I found myself having moments of wanting to strangle Shadow for the shit that he put Misty thru. Hell there was times that I wanted to shake Misty so that I can make her see that changes needed to be made. And they needed to happen so that they can have their HEA.
James made sure that your emotions would go up and down with this couples story. But, the ups and downs are needed to make this couple see that they needed each other. Another book that grabbed me and held on tight. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in this series.
Love this series!
Shadow is Book 3, in the Cerberus MC series. It can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the series. I’ve really enjoyed them all and can’t wait to read more..
Shadow and Misty meet up a few times, while Shadow is on the road with the MC. The chemistry between them is explosive, but Shadow isn’t the settling down type. Misty doesn’t expect anything but a one nightstand from him…
Things change, when Misty has to give Shadow some very important news..
Will Shadow believe her? Can they ever have a future together

I really enjoyed this book. That pretty much sums it up, lol.
Misty is a young girl from Denver who has crossed paths with the men of the Cerberus MC before. When circumstances leave her no other option but to run, she runs straight to the one man she thinks may be able to help her… Shadow.
Shadow doesn’t get why Kincaid and Kid seem to have so easily given up their wild ways and “settled”. He is confident that no woman will tie him down. Then Misty turns up on the clubhouse doorstep, bringing revelations that have Shadow questioning his entire belief system… suddenly Kid and Kincaid make a lot more sense to him than he’s willing to admit.
This book really got the feels going. I loved Misty from the start and was really hoping for her to get her happy ever after ending. Shadow quite a few times, suffered from some seriously bad phrasing of his words though, only making Misty’s happy ending seem all the more uncertain.
I hope there will be more books in this series, as each one just gets better and better, and book one was fantastic to start with. I give Shadow 5 stars, and really hope this isn’t the last we see of the Cerberus MC.

Holy crap this book went to some places that I just wasn’t sure I was going to like…. but then Marie James would …. work it out so to speak. This is book 3 of the series… yes read the first 2.
Shadow and Misty had met in a previous book and had an on and off thing…. the last time Shadow and Misty saw each other, Misty accepted it for what it was…. just a fun time.
Shadow makes fun of Kincaid and Kid for being all lovy dovy and in dopey love with their girls. But he doesn’t want to admit that Misty… just may be the one he wants to be lovy dovy with. There is so much more to this story, it was freaking awesome! I give this 5 stars!
This book really warmed my heart. I was scared of where the author was going to take it at Rome’s but she did amazing at keeping the suspense going. Shadow and Misty had this slow burn thing going on and while normally I hate it, I really loved how the author did it. I won’t spoil the overall theme of the book even though I’m sure readers can guess it. It was a fun surprise for me. I didn’t read the description so I was happy with the treat. In the end I’ll say I really enjoyed the story and I plan to dive into more of this MC soon. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Misty feels she is out of options when she finds out she’s pregnant. Her parents are very religious and tell her she has to have an abortion or give it up for adoption or they will throw her out. Of course she doesn’t say anything to Shadow, she’s stressed out and doesn’t know what to do. Shadow’s world is about to change from the life style he’s always wanted, not be tied down or with one woman permanently. But babies have a way of changing that.
I’m a huge fan of Marie James and the Cerberus MC Series. I was hooked with book one and have patiently waited to snag each additional story, and so far each one has been just as good as the first if not better!
This is Morrison Griggs aka Shadow’s story. The hit it an quit it king, who regardless of what his brothers have done refuses to settle down. Not willing to tie himself to any one woman, even if there’s one he always thinks about. The only girl who’s ever managed to put a dent in his armor shows up at his doorstep and quite literally passes out.
Misty Bowen is young. She’s young and quite sheltered, she had a strong religious upbringing that came with expectations. None of which include one night stands with bikers.
But it’s that last one nighter that sets the story.
Her deceptiveness has consequences.
Her family basically disowned her after she refused to do their bidding which put her in a tough situation.
She has some choices to make, no option is easy but any choice will affect her for life.
When she’s out of options and needs help she turns to the man she never thought she would see again, didn’t want to need but she can’t make it without his help.
Needless to say Shadow’s a bit shocked when she shows up, even more so when he learns of her deceit. Forgiveness doesn’t come quick or easy, or maybe it never comes?
Read an find out!!
Another amazing read, I just love the guys and their ladies in this series. Looking forward to what’s next.
After reading, Kid (Cerberus mc #2), I was a little upset with SHADOW!!!
Shadow normally doesn’t look back on past hook ups,
But keeps thinking about Misty…
Misty returns to Shadow’s life unexpectedly with a surprise..
Will they find a way back to each other???
I am no longer mad at SHADOW!!!
Must read! Love this series with all my heart!
