Main charter seems to find love in the wrong place.overall amazing series
This is my first book to read by this author. Ms. Bardugo has created an exciting young adult fantasy that even adults will enjoy. I was immediately immersed into the story. The twists and turns kept me turning the pages. I was surprised to find spiritual truths woven throughout. I’m looking forward to the next installment in this …
After I finished reading the Six of Crows duology, I was very excited and curious to know more about Alina Starkov and the hype about the Darkling. But most importantly, I have to read it before reading King of Scars!!!!

If you’re active in Book Twitter or any book-related social media, chances are you’ve probably heard of the Grisha Trilogy.
With the raving reviews about this book and the added hype of the upcoming Netflix adaptation, I can’t help but set my standards so high. Which probably explains why I was slightly disappointed.
Don’t get me wrong. I really …
An amazing page-turner leaving readers wanting the next book. Leigh Bardugo is an awesome auther, and has perfect attention to detail.
Oh this started out so sweet, two orphans growing up together, taking care of each other. Then when one saves the other their whole world goes KABOOM. She is taken away where she is asked to trust many but one will be the betrayer. Their lives changed, challenged and altered forever.

Oh I hate Dark-arse, hate hate …
It’s a lot like other books that I have read, very predictable, but still entertaining enough to finish the book. The characters are okay there’s nothing special or unique about them. I don’t know if I am going to continue to read the rest of the series.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It gripped me completely. Leigh has an incredible storytelling ability and the creation of her setting is top notch. I could see everything she described so clearly. It’s fast-paced fantasy with intriguing characters who have incredible powers. I especially sympathized with the main character Alina and …
I’m Darkling trash for life!!
A fabulous read! I can’t say enough about this entire series. I Absolutely LOVED IT!
I love Leigh Bardugo’s world-building so much. She’s not only good at writing one fascinating fictional country, but also at creating other countries within her world and weaving them together with believable political conflicts that feel simultaneously new and familiar, and shine an interesting light on our own world.
Personally, most of my …
I’ve read a lot of YA books in my time, and I thought I could predict just about anything in more mainstream ones. NOT SO with Shadow and Bone! Absolutely all of my predictions ended up wrong, REALLY wrong. Which made it a very exciting read! Highly recommend this series!
Fantasy that reads almost like a historical
I started to read The Grisha Trilogy because i have Six of crows duology in my TBR cart but wanted to read it first.
I have really loved the wolrd Leigh Bardugo created in this book.
Alina Starkov is an orphan along with her friend Mal, and never was really good at anything. But years later when their regiment is under attack on the Fold and her …
This book is original, action-packed, and unpredictable at times. I couldn’t be more happy to have finally read this book. I don’t see what the hype is all about yet, but I hope that I will soon. Just because I am not head over heels in love with this book doesn’t mean that I didn’t like this book. I actually enjoyed it and sped through this book …

This book will cut into you like the sharpest blade and then pour a little bit of its magic into you. This is my second time reading this book. I realize that I never wrote a review for this book the first time that I read it. This strikes me as strange since this has been one of my …
I love Bardugo fantasy. I love these characters and the epic, twisty, dark adventures for which she takes them. Throughout the whole book I felt like I was a part of Ravka. It has romance, wit, humor, great character development, and so much depth. Perfect.
