Shades Of Magick by Jessica Wayne is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number three in this wonderful series that I have loved reading from the very first book. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

loved the end of this trilogy (i mean, hate that it’s ending, but what a conclusion!!)
The story is so imaginative and captivating the further along it takes us. Right when I thought I knew who the villain was, everything changed. Yet, I’m discovering this author has a way of twisting the story to do exactly that to the reader. The danger increases ten-fold as if it wasn’t consuming in the first place. And even with the strength of those who surround our heroine, along with those who didn’t realize they would have to fight, it’s up to her to do what she didn’t even know she could do and the magick she does best to lead the rest of them through to the other side.
Though this is the last in this series, I can only hope the author picks it back up somewhere along the way and give us the stories of some of the individual characters who had such an impact on the story. They are so cleverly written that it’s hard to let go of them. Plus, there are some characters in this series whose stories remain to be told in more places than just in my mind. I look forward to seeing what she does with them.
Shades of Magick is Book 3 and the final book in the Cambrexian Realm series. Book 3 packs in more action scenes and gets more fantastical, similar to how some movie series end up going. The storyline suffers for it, because it doesn’t carry the characters and chemistry as well. Some of the internal dialogue repeats and the slow-burn romance for the final couple is predictable and doesn’t pull on the heart strings. The woman is also not relatable and there’s no explanation as to why she’s an excellent sword fighter when she doesn’t teach her own son. Verbal conflicts are handled with insults and do not demonstrate any wisdom or skill in negotiations. The ending is solid, but I would have liked more of a feel-good conclusion for the characters.
WOW! This book does not disappoint. The last book in this series takes on an emotional, twisted, action packed, amazing read that will leave you in the edge of your seat wanting more and more. Sienna, Daxon, Zane, Corrine, and Lawson will pull you into the the final battle and by the end you will be floored with all the twist and turns and all the characters. Another 10 star read that left me breathless. Can’t wait to read what she has next.
The much awaited (for me at least) finale to the Cambrexian Realm series is just as explosive and mindblowing as the previous books. Again, non-stop action, suspense, mystery, more excellen world building and an unexpected ending that had me reeling for days! Is it too much to ask for a sequel?
Loved it just as good as I anticipated it to be. Thank you Jessica Wayne for another great trilogy.
Couldn’t put these books down, you definitely need to read from book one . I loved the storyline, lots of twists and plots to sink your teeth into with fab characters,

Shades of Magic by Jessica Wayne is about as great as any book series finale can possibly get!
The series kicked off at a fast pace, and ended with a bang, leaving you praying Ms. Wayne will continue the series in some way, shape, or form as you don’t want to say goodbye to a group of people you have come to consider your friends.
Shades of Magic is the third book I have read by Ms. Wayne and I am anxious to read the next book she has coming out. If you have not read anything by Ms. Wayne, I strongly suggest you grab this series and dig in. You won’t be disappointed.
This entire series has been a headlong charge into a desired future with one eye firmly on the past. Daxon, Sienna, Zane and Corrina have survived their pasts, the fall of the Guardian Academy, multiple assassination attempts and the destruction of the royal capital. In this volume, their tumultuous quest peaks and comes to a triumphant end with much trial, trouble and tribulation along the way. They cannot create the future they want without changing and being changed, growing and fostering growth. The author has created an amazing action-filled journey from start to end that grabbed my attention and refused to let go. This is a dark epic fantasy that can share shelf space with Andy Peloquin’s Darkblade Assassin series or Steve McHugh’s Hellequin Chronicles.

Just as I thought! This book kept me around it´s finger, once I started reading i couldn´t put it down.
This final book gave a lot of answers and a lot of turns that i didn´t see them coming. And i was so happy to know Zane a bit better, he and Sienna shared a lot of terrors and i´m so happy to know the great persons they became. I loved all the POV´s that Jessica gave us, i really loved meeting this characters and i was sad to see them gone but also so pround for them. Zane and Sienna are finally free! Loved this series and Jessica keeps getting better and better.
What a great trilogy!! Definitely have to start at the beginning. I loved the adventure and new characters…well some of them anyway. And of course you still have some characters that you just don’t like but make things really exciting. And boy do they go through trouble either looking for the stone or for allies. Will they all be able to survive or will they loose someone? Can they save their realm or will they finally say it’s not worth it? Must read!!
Shades of Magick is Jessica Wayne’s final installment in her Cambrexian Realm Trilogy. Wow, what a finale! SIenna, Daxon, Corrine and Zane all fight for their lives in different ways as Amos continues his quest to flip the realm. Facing dangers beyond their wildest dreams, our heroes forge on seeking help and the magick stone that will either save them all or end all magick. Determination and sheer grit is all they have to go by as the odds continue to stack against them. Will they succeed in their quest, or will Amos’s diabolical plan play out after all?
The storyline is fast-paced and well written, keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout. It is filled with magick, monsters, vampires, werewolvess, sages and all sorts of other magical creatures. The plot is ripe with danger, intrigue and manipulation. The characters are well developed, endearing and engaging. The crew we love, and hate, are back as well as many wonderful newcomers to enrich the story. This book was truly a delightful end to a fantastic series!
ONE EARTH QUAKING LANDSLIDE!!!
Unforgettable! Jessica not only brought it, she wiped the realm in it with this unnerving conclusion, batten down the hatches to weather the storm, bringing out the heavy artillery, locked and loaded, blasting this bad boy to life spectacularly. Shattering the boundaries and pushing the limits, such strengths and weaknesses being weighed and balanced, propelling this jewel forward, launching it into a tailspin with a life-changing culmination. Coiled, twined and tightly woven, showcasing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it’s simplicity and awe-inspiring in it’s depth. Nightmares runs rampant and deception is rife, rolling with the drama, turmoil, abuse, torture, intrigue, danger, spiraling suspense and nailbiting situations, along with a boatload of contending evil while dodging deadly intents, you have one intoxicating masterpiece. The characters are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow, transforming into genuinely relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and depictions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Jessica, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Sienna and Daxon have to find the Stone, while Corrine and Zane seek allies. They are all heading toward danger in order to save their world and themselves. I was looking forward to this novel and it did not disappoint me. The entire trilogy is a must read fantasy.

Love all the action and adventure! Fully entertaining story! Loved this whole series! Such a fun, exciting series! Definitely start with the previous books before this one; you need that build up for the whole story.
This one starts out with the gang going back to where Zane and Sienna grew up; where they were abused physically and mentally on a daily basis, the orphanage under rule by the Magick Council. Those past scenes with Zane and Sienna are brutal. These two have had to overcome a lot. They are on a quest for a magical stone that should help deal with evil Amos, but there’s also some other dangerous things on the loose. Love all the cool paranormal elements to the story. There’s POV’s from Sienna, Daxon, Zane, Corinne, and Lawson; there’s a lot of moving parts going on with this group. Sienna is still kicking major butt. Love the romance between Daxon and Sienna; so sweet and passionate. We’ve got a bit of a pity party going on; Corinne with her new status as a hybrid of Vampire, Wolf, and Guardian; and Lawson with Corinne wanting Zane and not him, they both are having some issues dealing with all the new things happening in their lives. I go back and forth on how I feel about Corinne; she says some really cruddy things to Zane and her first instinct is to blame others, but it’s great that she’s showing some strength and growth. They need better communication between them; burying your head in the sand isn’t going to help solve things. Zane is still awesome.
Such a fun magical adventure this whole series has been! Engrossed through the whole story!
Funniest thing I’ve ever read… “We can’t kill everyone who hates Zane. There would be no one left.” I laughed so hard at this!!! There are so many new characters to fall in love or hate in this book. So many twists and turns you won’t know what happens until the end. This was the perfect ending to the series.
The finale of the series about the Cambrexian Realm brings lots of adventure, magic and death. Daxon and Sienna are looking for the magical stone to right the world but since all thought it was a myth, where do you begin. Corrine and Zane are looking for allies as the war get closer. Amos is his usual violent yet resilient self and is hunting for the stone also. Who will reach it first and what will they discover about themselves? Fast paced and action packed like Ms. Wayne’s other books in this series. I couldn’t put it down but was sorry to see the series end. I will miss the characters.
This novel was a great conclusion to the series. Action and adventure, betrayals, along with romance for a few of the characters. To save the realm, they all will have to undertake journeys to gather allies and find the stone. Lots of unexpected twists and challenges that each of the characters will need to overcome. Sienna and Daxon fall more in love with each other as they journey together to find the stone, but Amos, the Shade, and others are still great threats. Corrine and Zane gather allies, while she comes to terms with her new status. Lawson works with the council while protecting the refugees. They will all need to work together to stop the evil that wants to be unleashed, even though not all understand its true motives. Sienna will learn more about herself and she will go to any lengths to save those she loves. A war is coming, and everyone will affected, but whose side will they be on? 4.5 stars
