Summary:
Lily Cornett has known just what she wants in a man for as long as she can remember, and the protector of The Last Riders is not it. Despite being shrouded in mystery, Lily can clearly see that Shade would be too much for her fragile sanity to take. With his rude, obnoxious behavior, he’s nowhere near the cowboy Lily always envisioned for herself. Unfortunately for her, Lily is exactly the type of woman Shade wants. With her sweet, kind and gentle disposition, she makes the perfect submissive. But there’s more to Lily than meets the eye. Shade sees the shadows in Lily’s eyes, but getting closer to her has his hard-fought for patience running out. When Lily learns the truth about The Last Riders club, that knowledge threatens to unravel every relationship within the club. Another club moving in to claim Lily also has Shade’s Navy Seal hackles rising to the fore. It seems Lily’s demons have caught up to her, in more ways than one. Can Shade be the savior she’s prayed for all these years?
I loved Shade’s Fall. I’ve been getting more anxious as the books go, because a lot of what’s happening centers around Lily and Shade and connects the Last Riders to the other series. Lily was a lot different than I thought she was gonna be, and I’m so happy she is. She was made out to be weak, fragile, and someone who needed constant vigilance, and she did so well in proving everyone wrong. Lily isn’t who anyone thought she was. In fact, innocent Lily has lived through a hell no one could imagine and come out the other side. She’s sweet, kind, loving, thoughtful, selfless, humble, and beautiful inside and out. Having finally learned the horror of her childhood, I honestly can’t believe she came out of it with such a beautiful soul. I loved everything about her. Especially her determination to show everyone she was grown up, strong, and capable of handling what life threw at her. Shade has intrigued me from the beginning, and I was jonesing for his story. He was dark, broody, rude, sexy, and a complete mystery. I was happy to see that his love for Lily was genuine. I loved his protective nature, and his possessiveness over Lily. It has to be said that Shade is cold-blooded and cunning. That said, you could clearly see those he cared for. I loved his dominant nature and the play he did with Lily. Unlike Kaden’s dominance over Sawyer, which I felt stifling, Shade’s just felt more natural. First, I worried it wouldn’t flow smoothly because of Lily’s past, but he was exactly what she needed to overcome so much. We learned quite a bit with this book. We saw King approach Lily for the 1st time, and got answers about their shared past. We learned a huge secret about The Last Riders and Lucky. I’m pretty sure that shocked me the most. I wish we could have seen more of the Biker Bitches because they are a hoot. I also cannot wait for Lucky and Cash’s book. I am definitely reading on, since I want more Last Riders, but I have to say, King isn’t my favorite person. Luckily, I get Evie thrown in, and Cash is up next. <3
Last riders. We ride.
Oh my god. Legit chills when I read this.
Lily’s story of how she came to god. I thought it was lovely and the way she was sharing it, honestly just Lily’s whole background breaks my heart.
I think there’s one thing though Shade is still a man and makes mistakes and boy did he learn that lesson fast. When Lily catches Raci wearing Shade’s jacket she is fuming so obviously the girl tries to get her own book and asks Rider for his. Oh my god the reaction for the rest of the club was hilarious and just how nobody would really say a word. I love that Lily was willing to say something about it. This is one of my favourite scenes because it shows just how much Lily has grown and changed.

My Favorite Jamie Begley book, by far!!
Shade wanted Lily after the first time he seen her. He waited for her then realized someone was trying to hurt her and he knew he had waited ling enough. She was the light to his dark, the calm to his intensity and the soft to his brashness
Great read love this series
***SPOILERS***
Finally, Shade and Lily’s story! It was all kinds of AWESOME!! BEST OF THE SERIES SO FAR!!
I have to say, Shade’s patience in waiting for Lily was pretty darn extraordinary. Even though he was controlling and a little demanding, he still moved at a slow pace for her. He was out-of-this-world loving, caring, devoted and protective of her. Shade practically worshipped at the altar of Lily and I LOVED it!
And dear, sweet Lily. It absolutely broke my heart when she found out about The Last Riders. She had been so in the dark, for so long- Being banned from the clubhouse, never invited to parties. It’s understandable why she felt so betrayed, especially by the people she trusted the most.
But, WOW. I knew Lily’s past was troubled but I didn’t realize just how bad it was for her. Poor, poor Lily.
On the bright, sweet, heart-bursting-with-love side… I LOVED it when Lily’s love and need for Shade grew stronger and stronger. When she ran to him first, instead of Beth, knowing he would always be there for her, when she was happy with pleasing him… it was so cute. I LOVED her wildcat streak too!
When Shade and Lily came together… it was HOT! All of that build up and sexual tension was worth it. It was naughty, fun and panty-dropping-worthy!
LOVED IT! Pastor Dean (aka P.D.)… something big happens with him! I knew it! I just knew you were Lucky. I didn’t know the details but loved everything about his back story and his undercover status. Really hope he sticks around… at the clubhouse that is! Can you imagine how hot (but how uber awkward) that would be?! I’ve got to see it. It makes you ten times hotter P.D.! Plus, it makes me want to re-read every scene P.D. has been in in this series.
My other LOVED-its (and there is so much to love about these scenes):
*The big reunion between Sawyer, Vida and Lily.
*Lily’s Halloween pole dancing- The reactions of Shade, Cash & Train were priceless!
*Shade, Lily and two other participants “playing” around…
*Shopping and lunch with Sex Piston and her crew- They’ll give it to you straight, that’s for sure.
*Beth and Razer’s scene at the end of the book = Major warm fuzzies.
There are also some throat-punch-worthy people in this one. Surprise, surprise. Bliss takes my number one spot, just like in the other books. Little Miss Submissive needed to back off and tone her flirt down. She drives me bonkers! And talk about toning your flirt down… Raci’s pot-smokin’ jacket scene ticked me off too. Even if you’re in a drug-induced haze, you do not touch anything Lily has claimed! Loved Shade’s explanation of how he told her off. Last but not least, Charles. You dirty little coward. Yea, that’s right… you run away, far away, with your tail between your legs. Once again, Shade was on top of his game.
Really liked the epilogue but I wish there was some sort of reference to how much time had passed. I get a little confused between all of the books’ epilogues, timeframe-wise.
Fingers crossed that Lucky’s story will be next! He is certainly an enigma!!
*I highly recommend you read these books in this order to enjoy the full experience: Razer’s Ride, Viper’s Run, Know’s Stand, Sex Piston (Biker Bitches series), Teased and Tainted (VIP series) and then Shade’s Fall.
This series is addictive. Start at the beginning with Razer and you will truly fall in love with this series. Read from the beginning to truly understand. I really enjoyed this book, it contained everything you could hope for in the world of MC, they are quirky in the way that they operate and to say they have loose morals is an understatement. It might not be your cup of tea but keep an open mind. Lily is very sweet, reserve, everything in her life is peaches, rainbows, and sunshine if not naive and prone to panic attacks. She hides the damage from her childhood that occurred before she was adopted blanked it all out. She is Beth’s (Razer’s is her husband is part of The Last Rider’s) little sister. She has a gentle but mischievous spirit and occasionally she is defiant. Shade is a brother in The Last Rider’s MC, he claimed Lily as his when she was a teenager, she was not aware of this. What’s the old saying, opposites attract? Well, it works well here. This book is different from the other’s as Shade is a Sniper and his needs are more about control. I’m sure you can imagine the road that might travel. This works great for Lilly’s character as she needs someone strong to deal with her issues and get her back on track. Happy Reading!
Shade is the enforcer for the Last Riders MC and he has set his eye on the quiet and scared Lily. Lily is Beth’s adopted sister and she has demons that chase her every step. Shade scares her and the only person she feels safe with is her sister, until Shade constantly pushes his way into her life. When the demons that she tries to keep hidden come after Lily, the only person she can run to is the man who scares her the most, Shade. Oh wow! Can I say that this book was simply amazing. I hated Shade half the time but other half I love how he protected and cared for Lily. I love how we saw the evolution of Lily in this book. She starts off as a scared little girl and grows into a strong woman that is tired of running from what scares her the most. There is danger and so much love in this book. This story brought me to tears, with what happened. Truly the best book in the series so far. I can’t wait to see what is in store for me next in this series. Definitely a must read series.
