From New York Times bestselling author Kim Karr comes a sexy and sizzling, enemies-to-lovers romcom with a bite.Everyone I know is married. It doesn’t bother me. I like my life the way it is. Since I’m single though, when my best friend and her husband finally decide to go on their dream honeymoon, she asks me to watch their three-year-old son. Of course, I say yes. What my best friend neglects to … son.
Of course, I say yes.
What my best friend neglects to tell me is that I won’t be babysitting alone.
Feeling Max might be too much for me to handle, her husband asks his only single friend to help.
Nick Carrington and I have met a couple of dozen times. I’ve never really given him a second thought–other than to say he’s kind of a jerk. Out loud. So he can hear. Sure, he’s tall, dark, and handsome. And yes, he has the best ass I’ve ever seen, and I mean ever seen quite literally. You see he mooned me at last year’s Fourth of July barbecue because, like I said, he’s a jerk.
He always has to be the life of the party.
He’s also arrogant.
Imposing.
Rich.
And a playboy.
I’d even go as far as to say he’s a manwhore.
And now I’m stuck with him…for two weeks!
Don’t look at me like that!
It wasn’t like I had a choice.
Besides…what could possibly happen? It’s not like we’re going to fall in love or anything like that!
Right?
*** Look for BIG SHOT, HOT STUFF, and Uptown Girl to complete the Sexy Jerk World. All four books are standalones with overlapping characters. ***

Nick and Tess met through their friends and they don’t like each other.
Not that they know the other person, they have formed an opinion in their head based on the couple of times they saw each other.
When they are forced to spend time together they discover they completely misjudged the other. Apologies are made, they move on from it and grow closer.
I absolutely love when characters in a book act like real people, real adults. No unwanted drama, no overreacting, but a good communication between adults.
While Nick and Tess get to know each other, they also get to know themselves better and discover what they really want, they both progress a lot during the story.
They had a close connection and lots of chemistry, in and outside the bedroom. The sex scènes were super steamy, and descriptive. They gave eachother the freedom to be themselves and explore their wants and needs. I like this because it will show readers, sex is something natural. It is okay to want it, to explore it and to talk about it.
The audiobook is narrated by Ava Lucas and Teddy Hamilton, who are both extremely good at their job.
I love Ava’s soft voice, her narration was perfect. It felt like she was completely into the story.
Teddy Hamilton has a super sexy voice, a low, rough rumble. I felt like he poured his heart in this narration.
The voiced of the narrators blend together perfectly and suit the story.
Sexy Jerk is a light, entertaining story with a couple of twists and turns that will surprise you. The audiobook has a good narration, it only makes the story better.
If you like sexy, relaxing story with lots of steam about adults finding their way in life, Sexy Jerk is the story you need.

I have truly come to LOVE Kim Karr’s Contemporary Romance novels. Each one I think continue to get better and better.
Sexy Jerk was so not what I was expecting. To be honest I was nervous by the title that I wasn’t go to like the Hero of this story. I am happy to report that is so far from how I felt while reading this book. I LOVED Nick. He was completely swoon worthy and so far from a jerk. Now don’t get me wrong his mouth had a tendency to get him into trouble, especially with Tess, but that was what I loved about him 😉
Sexy Jerk is a new standalone novel in her new series of standalone novels. They are located in Chicago and are going to focus around three college buddies. Each book will be a separate story and will feature a new couple. This book focuses on Nick Carrington. He is well known developer in Chicago. This book is an enemies to lovers story. I thought the flow and pace were perfect for this story. The characters were developed enough to give them feeling and heart and for a connection to be built with the reader. The storyline was fun, entertaining, HOT and even a little suspenseful.
In this book we follow the story of Nick and Tess. Both are the best friends of Fiona and Ethan. A married couple who have a little boy named Max. Tess has just recently moved back to Chicago after suffering a broken heart in New York and is trying to start her life over again, but this time live it like she wants to. Not how she is told to. Fiona and Ethan are taking a 2 week vacation and ask Tess to watch Max, but little does she know that they have also planned for Nick to be there to help. Tess and Nick don’t really get along well. So color her surprised to find him in their house. Things from her progressed pretty quickly for them, but it totally worked for this story. Each of these characters have some baggage they carry and have some serious trust issues. So will Tess be able to overlook her past and see Nick for something other than a JERK??? Can Nick open his heart to see not every woman is like his mother?? Read this book to find out.
I loved that Kim also added in some aspect of mystery to this story. She created a little side story that involves Nick and someone else (NO not another woman) But it did bring out his competitive side. I did feel that once it all came out that it was resolved a little too quickly, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment. Just wish it would’ve been expanded on a little more. You’ll understand more when you read this story.
I would definitely recommend this book!! I am also really looking forward to reading Big Shot….the next book in the Sexy Jerk World.
The cover of this book is what drew me in, I mean, why wouldn’t it? The blurb is also great. I love enemies-to-lovers stories and Tess and Nick definitely didn’t get along to start with. Oh how quickly that changes when the two of them agree to babysit their best friends’ 3 year old son. I found it adorable how Nick was with this little boy! For me, that won me over to him right away! I liked how you could see this underlying chemistry between him and Tess as well. You just knew it was going to be great once the two of them got out of their own way. I was very close to giving this book 5 stars and the only reason I didn’t was that I found Tess’s backstory a little out of her character. It seemed to come out of the blue and somewhat contradicted the image she displayed of herself. I felt the same for the short side story for Fiona and her husband toward the end of the book. It seemed that maybe it was thrown in for shock value?? I’m not sure. For me, it didn’t add to the story and I thought maybe it was added in to lead into book two. Other than that, I truly did enjoy Tess and Nick’s story! Lots of steam, humor, and even some danger thrown in there too!
Sexy Jerk World Book One.
Tess Winters is shocked and dismayed when she discovers Nick Carrington in a towel when she brings her young charge, Max home. When Fiona and Ethan left for the honeymoon Tess insisted on, they asked her to watch their son, Max. However, Ethan asked his best friend and the bane of Tess’s existence, Nick, to stay over and help. Now that they are under the same roof, however, Tess and Nick are beginning to understand each other a bit better. Nick is still a jerk, but he may be more.
If you’re looking for the beginning of a fun enemies-to-lovers story, this is the book for you!
Audio Review:
Teddy Hamilton and Ava Lucas portray the characters wonderfully and balance the action and dialogue very well.
Entertaining
I liked that it taught to look deeper than the first impression

Fun read!
Frenemies to lovers. With an adorable kid and a dodgy real estate “issue” to bring them together.
Steamy read with likable characters!
Loved the characters but the end seemed super rushed. Everything was going a long great and then BAM! Big action, big decision and over. Done. Otherwise seemed great
Don’t be put off by the silly title, this book is thoughtful, well-written and HOT!

Enjoyable read
Fantastic
Fun book to read. Loved the characters
Predictable but a fun read
A good read in the enemies to lovers genre.
Kim Karr does a fine job ironing out the wrinkles between two people, who met at their respective friends wedding, and instantly judged each other – badly.
Three years later, they’re in each others company again, bought together to co-babysit their friends’ chatty and busy son, realising that there was an instant attraction between them, and this time it’s something they can’t ignore. Phew, their first kiss was written as H-O-T-!
I absolutely enjoyed this book, and even though it’s my first from this author, it won’t be my last because I definitely want to here more from the secondary characters in this series. Incidentally, Kim Karr also threw some romantic suspense in there which made for a little excitement, but, it was wrapped up almost like an afterthought when I was almost looking forward to it being a common thread throughout the series. 4 Stars for an enemies to lovers steamy romance with a touch of suspense.
