NOW A NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY and WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER! From #1 New York Times Bestseller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel. My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards. We met at a wedding–him sitting on the groom’s side, me sitting on the bride’s. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction.I caught … Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction.
I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me.
We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number.
I thought about him often, but after my last relationship, I’d sworn off of charming, cocky, gorgeous-as-sin men. A year later, Hunter and I met again at the birth of our friends’ baby. Our attraction hadn’t dulled one bit. After a whirlwind trip, he demanded a real phone number this time. So I left him with my mother’s–she could scare away any man with her talks of babies and marriage–and flew back home.
I’d thought it was funny, until the following week when he rang the bell at Mom’s house for Sunday night dinner. The crazy, gorgeous man had won over my mother and taken an eight-week assignment in my city. He proposed we spend that time screwing each other out of our systems.
Eight weeks of mind-blowing sex with no strings attached? What did I have to lose?
Nothing, I thought.
It’s just sex, not love.
But you know what they say about the best laid plans…more
Sex, Not Love by Vi Keeland was one of those romance stories you never expect. Just from the very beginning you’re swept away by Nat and Hunter’s electric chemistry. As the story progresses you won’t know what hit you!
This happens to be my second book read by this author and her writing does not disappoint in the least. This book was just perfect in my opinion. I really couldn’t love it more if I tried. It was effortless and heartfelt and steamy and everything you love in a good romance. I’m looking forward to reading more books by Vi.
I laughed, cried and fell in love throughout this book. I could not put this book down. The character development and chemistry was amazing. Natalia and Hunter make a perfect match. I love Hunters persistence and how he won’t back down. Nat and Hunters banter is hysterical. The chemistry is off the charts between the two of them. I also love the the character development and growth of Izzy, Nat’s stepdaughter. This is a must read, well all of Vi’s books are a must read. Vi you have yet again outdone yourself with another amazingly wonderful book.
Ok is there a book by Vi Keeland I don’t love?!
Sex, Not Love – That title sounds like it would be full of steam and not much emotional romance right? WRONG! Sure there was some steam but the emotion of this story is the real winner.
Natalia & Hunter meet at their best friends wedding in California. They are both in their late 20s, single and looking for some one night fun at the wedding. They automatically have chemistry, but Nat finds herself leaning away from Hunter more so then leaning towards him. Until alcohol gets involved and she wakes up in the same hotel room as him, not remembering what happened. She decides to share a passionate kiss with Hunter then run back to New York to her step daughter she has full custody over and hide.
Nat is a 28 year old divorcee with an emotional past. With her ex-husband in jail, she has been given full custody of his daughter; Izzy. With her ex-husband lying to her for most of their relationship, she doesn’t trust men and this gives her the willpower to keep pushing Hunter away.
Nat & Hunter than play cat & mouse for nearly a year. While Hunter tries to get Nat’s real phone number and see her again, Nat runs and hides. Until Hunter turns up at her weekly family dinner at her mum’s house. She has no where to run now and decides to give Hunter a chance. Especially with her step daughter; Izzy suddenly taking a real liking to him.
As their chemistry & banter grows, Nat can’t say no much longer and they make a deal; Sex, Not Love for two months. As it seems Hunter isn’t the only with a dark past.
As the two months come to a close, Hunter & Nat find themselves with feelings and not sure which way it will lead without each getting a broken heart. Until Hunter’s past finally comes alight, giving them more answers than questions to their future.
I just adore the emotion Vi puts in to her writing. I swear I was going to cry at one point. Hunter is the dream man, and Nat deserves him. They both deserve the love they don’t think they deserve and it was fun reading about it.
5/5 stars (easily) with 2.5/5 steam.
i think i mint like this book becauses h whant sex and this mint give me informashon
Fantastic!!
Another super sexy, emotional masterpiece from Vi Keeland.
Hunter and Natalia’s romance is romantic, and teasing full of sexual tension and emotion.
I Loved every bit of this book and it had me captivated from the beginning and the more I read I became more and more emerged into the story…as Natalia’s walls tumbled down and gave into Hunter’s Sex only relationship. But it was inevitable that the more time they spent together feelings began to get invovled, but Hunter has a secret and pushes Natalia away.
But will distancing himself away from Natalia only heighten his feelings for her,but will it be too late for them once he reveals his secret and when she finds out will she want him anyway.
This is a great read, and had me in an emotional mess I was frustrated and worried for a moment things weren’t going to be ok….
Sex Not Love is perfectly written and had me addcited from start to finish.
I Highly Recommend it.
5 WONDERFUL STARS.
Keeland’s writing wizardry leaps off the pages in Sex, Not Love and the title couldn’t be more fitting, either. Bearing in mind the plot revolves around a subject that isn’t a recipe for romance, you’ll see it becomes the perfect metaphor. Of course, the book wouldn’t have been so undownputable if the author hadn’t complicated matters, making the readers doubt right up until very the last moment whether the protagonists were going to make or break their friends with benefits pact with a time limit included. And the cover or better said, the model on it, is exactly how I imagined the male character to be! Something about those eyes, that come-hither look is him to a tee. Or is it really because I was certainly in for a surprise or two!
It’s not an overly angsty read; however, trying to fathom out why Hunter Delucia had a love ‘em and leave ‘em attitude kept me guessing and oh boy, was I way off with my presumptions. Okay, the guy’s totally scrumptious, a tad conceited but has a heart of gold! A real charmer and a dirty-talker to boot got me swooning like all the women in his presence do! But a question arises. Is Natalia Rossi prepared to go that extra mile; stay true to her feelings about the opposite sex and not get emotionally involved? Certainly food for thought.
What a really liked was the build-up of sexual tension throughout the story. There is a wham-bam, thank you ma’am feel about it in the beginning and you may ask yourselves if they…you know…did or didn’t do it! Saying that, both of them aren’t into having a stable relationship for reasons to be divulged. But when Nat dropped a bombshell, I had trouble getting my head around the bizarre situation she was in. Seeing as she’s in her mid-to-late twenties with family responsibilities which she never shied away from, made my connection with her was that more intense. Her sassy sense of humour and patience with someone close is exemplary, too.
The narrative technique used is an interesting one. Told in past tense from a dual point of view, the reader is taken back in time as Hunter’s past unravels. Not a happy one, it was not what I expected and I cried. He’s not at all forthcoming with his feelings, fears or his perspectives for the future; whereas Nat…she puts him in the picture and has nothing to hide. Her crystal clear personality overwhelmed me to the point of giving her kudos. She literally left me with my mouth wide open.
I liked how Keeland broke the story down into different time periods…it wasn’t rushed, it certainly held my attention and I have to say her characters were flawlessly developed. Hunter and Nat are on the same level in so many ways, but his crushing predicament always seems to hover in the background, dampening his chances of finding true happiness. Not surprisingly, Nat who has no idea what’s going on inside his head gets more and more frustrated. I found his negative stance totally understandable though.
The banter has to be mentioned. Nothing less than spot on in my book; pun unintended, it gave me more than one moment of utter joy! Family life has its importance, the secondary characters were quite honestly marvellous, except one who kept a few folks, myself included, on our toes. Ooh, and the bedroom scenes—hotness abounds. My advice to future readers is to go in blind, live these two beautiful people’s experiences without any hint of what is to come. You won’t regret it! Bravo Keeland for a beautiful and unforgettable read!
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
This was such a fantastic read with heartbreaking moments. This story deals with loss of loved ones and it will definitely touch your heart. It’s full of wonderful characters and supportive friends that you can’t help but love. I absolutely loved Hunter and Natalia together. Not only was their story heartfelt, but it was steamy and full of angst, undeniable attraction and chemistry. This is in my opinion, definitely a story worth reading and one I’ll be recommending to family and friends.

What can I say…..It’s a Vi Keeland novel!!! As always she has delivered another fabulous 5 star read.
The more books I read by this author the more I fall in love with her writing. Her stories and characters just keep getting better and better. This book was so good, all I can really say is that this is a MUST READ!!!
Vi has a canny ability to create stories that are intriguing, engaging, heartfelt and of course off the charts sexy. Her books will bring out all the feels. Sex, Not Love is no different. I was laughing at times, but then I was kicked in the gut and my eyes had tears in them. But in the end she always puts me back together and I have a HUGE smile on my face.
What I love the most about Vi’s books is that she gives a fun and entertaining story but also so much more. Her books have such depth to them, you never really know what you’re going to get until you start reading. She knows how to balance the light and happy with the dark and sad perfectly. Her books flow perfectly and I always think the same thing in the end….I want more!!!
Sex, Not Love is her latest standalone novel and it is told in Dual POV (Kind of, you’ll understand once you read the story). You don’t need to read any of her other books to fully enjoy this story. Although if Vi is a new author to you, once you read this book, you will definitely want to go back and read all of her other books as well!!
In this story we meet Natalia and Hunter. Nat and Hunter meet for the first time at their friends wedding. Hunter was immediately captivated by Natalia and her by him, but since she just came out of a bad situation and lives in New York….she isn’t looking for anything serious. Little did she know that saying No and giving him a wrong number wouldn’t deter Hunter. I loved this story and these characters so much. I don’t want to say too much, just know you will want to read this story and meet these characters.
I also loved the secondary characters we met in this book. Anna and Derek (Nat and Hunter’s friends) brought some of the lighter scenes to the story, but were also great supports to both Nat and Hunter. Izzy gave us a “real” feel to what it is like to raise a stepchild that is a teenager. I loved watching that child grow as the story unfolded.
Sex, Not Love is so much more than a great love story, this story is about healing and moving on. So if you are looking for that fun and entertaining story that also packs an emotional punch, then this is the book you should read. If you are a fan of Vi Keeland’s you don’t want to miss this newest addition to her fantastic collection. If she is a new author to you….pick up this gem, you won’t be sorry!!!!
I’ve been on a roll, reading my 5th Vi Keeland book in a row and I have yet to get bored with her writing as each of her stories are wholly original with unique and unexpected plot twists. Additonally, each story does an amazing job at both character and relationship development, taking us through the full gamut of emotions as our hero/heroine journey to their HEA. My only issue is that I need to decide which of Vi’s stories to read next… But my advice to you is pick up Sex, Not Love as your next read – you won’t be disappointed.
Fuck me
Excellent read from Vi!
I devoured this book and finished it in one sitting
In a matter of hours . Hunter stole a piece of my heart. This story was phenomenal and heartwarming. Definitely one my top favorite reads of 2018 and would be re reading this book . Definitely a must read and not to be missed. Vi delivered a beautiful masterpiece with this story.
I put off reading this book for months expecting it to be the stereotypical alpha-male story. I haven’t read much from this author so I made some erroneous assumptions. All I can saw is WOW. This story was well executed. Definitely was not what I was expecting. The research, regarding the pivotal events that took place was spot on.
This book gave me legitimate FEELS! I will definitely read more from this author!
4.5 stars
Can Vi Keeland write a bad book? Yeah I didn’t think so either! Love ya Vi!
Sex, Not Love by Vi Keeland (Audiobook)
Narrated by Andi Arndt & Sebastian York
5 Stars – I love a guy who doesn’t give up. Hunter knew what he wanted.. or rather who and went after her. I really enjoyed the banter between Natalia and Hunter, there were loads of sparks, tension and I laughed often, which is always a bonus. This story felt full and was easy to fall into. Izzy was also a great character, I thought she added just that little something extra.
The two narrators were fantastic as usual.

I don’t know what it is about Vi Keelands books but when i am stuck and don’t know what I’m in the mood for i know her books wont disappoint and this one didnt.
I’m a mood reader and when i can’t find a book I’m in the mood for and don’t know what o feel like reading Vi Keeland is one i turn too and im so glad i finally picked up this book i know it’s been out a while and i remember seeing the teasers going around but i forgot what this one was about and i pretty much went on blind and what i got was so much more than i was expecting.
The storyline is this book was so good i loved how it really drew me in from the start with Natalia and her story with her ex husband and seeing the growth between her and her step daughter i thought that was a very special relationship and i am so glad we got to see this grow. I really like Nat and her character was written great she was a great heroine that i think a lot of women could relate too especially with her trust issues.
Hunter broke my heart his story and his past really moved me and you could understand why he was the way he was and didn’t want commitment he had also been through a lot and i liked how we also went back in some chapters to see what made him the man he was in the present. I know Hunter was hiding behind his banter and sexual innuendos but got did they make me laugh.
This story was sad, uplifting and really made you think that we all have one life and we need to live it to the fullest it can be and don’t let anyone or anything get in the way of being our happiest.
Absolutely adored this book and the characters and so glad i finally read the only thing that’s disappointing is that i can’t read it again for the first time.
Another amazing book by Vi Keeland and so thankful that i have discovered and amazing author.
If your a fan and haven’t read this one it’s a must and if you haven’t read anything by this author than drop everything and do it you won’t regret it.
A huge amazing 5 stars for this book.
I love a good steamy read, and this one hit all the right buttons. Vi Keeland never disappoints.
Vi Keeland never stops to amaze me. Each book she releases is better than the previous one. It’s not a secret that I LOVE Vi’s books, her writing is flawless and her stories are captivating. SEX, NOT LOVE is an emotional and addictive ride, once you start reading it, you won’t be able to stop.
Natalia Rossi just divorced her husband who happens to be in jail for committing fraud and now, she’s single with a stepdaughter to take care of, she has no time for relationships. She can’t trust men anymore. Her dad failed her, her ex-husband lied to her, so when she meets gorgeous, cocky and sexy Hunter Delucia, she avoids him at all costs. She knows better than to fall for a pretty face. But her body betrays her and she finds herself very attracted to him and giving into his charm.
Hunter Delucia has lost a lot in his life. First his dad, then his mom and what marked his life was his brother’s death. Because of that, he decided to not have any relationships. No relationships = no pain from loss. He will have sex, not love. But he didn’t anticipate Natalia Rossi to steal his heart. He pursued her, he wanted her but he didn’t count on falling hard for her. But no matter how much he loves her, he knows he just can’t be with her.
Can Hunter and Natalia take a risk on love together?
I LOVED this story! It was very emotional, funny and fascinating. I love that the characters are very real and human, with flaws and with problems to work on. A relatable and realistic storyline! Be ready to be captivated by this amazing story, I know you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. We can’t go wrong with Vi Keeland’s story.
