“Victoria Ashley sucks you in on page one; trust me, you won’t be able to put this steamy, gripping story down until you’ve consumed it all in one sitting.” -Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Ilsa Madden-MillsSex Material… It’s what I’m known around town for.A rock-hard body, covered in tattoos with a sizeable bulge that women spend their nights fantasizing about. Women track me down, … about.
Women track me down, needing someone that will take them rough without holding back.
They find me because they need a distraction from reality. They need something to get their mind off of the boyfriend who screwed them over or the job promotion they got passed over on at work.
Sometimes it’s just because they need someone reckless in the bedroom before settling down with the right one.
‘Cause I’m not that guy.
Nowhere close.
I’m not the suit wearing, flower-buying guy you take home to meet the parents. I’m not the guy who will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Not anymore.
I was boyfriend material once. Would’ve even made a good husband. Until one night changed everything.
These women come to me because they need an escape to cope with the real world, but none of them know I need it more than them. I need something to make me feel alive. Something to get my heart beating again.
Then Cami shows up in my hometown, broken-hearted and pissed off at the world, needing an escape from her cheating ex.
She’s the only one that doesn’t want to use my body. In fact, she wants nothing to do with it and has no problems telling me so.
She’s interested in one thing only from me—to move into my rental property. But the problem with that is the more we fight, the deeper she buries herself in my soul.
Sex material is what I’m good at, but for the first time, it may not be enough.

Jensen Blake is the hottest jerk around. Seriously he is straight up intolerable, but you know it has to be for a reason so I found myself sucked in by his hotness and wanting to find out his back story. Cami is a sweet school teacher who has had a rough few days and meeting Jenson just adds to her stress. They butt heads, argue, share some steamy moments fueled by hate and passion. I loved this book so much I will definitely be rereading it.
Sex Material by Victoria Ashley
Cami and Jensen are rediculously steamy! This book is, of course seriously sexy as indicated by the title, but it is so much more. I mean it, all the feels. This story covers all the emotions, love, betrayal, heart break, seduction, and new love. And there was not one wasted word. I can’t say enough good!
This will be a go to re-read for sure!
Five stars for this amazing read!!!
Victoria Ashley brings it every single time. There is something so hot and right with the Hero character in her books that hits me just right. The Heroines are pretty amazing also. I loved Jensen and his broken soul. Cami and her best friend were a trip and they sure love their wine! Another great listen from an amazing author and the narrators were amazing! Aiden Snow (hot as sin) and CJ Bloom (love her mail voice) did perfect.
The story of Cami and Jensen is a great love story. I like their chemistry. I also like that she is a sexy teacher.
This was my first Victoria Ashley book and it will not be my last!
This book started off with a bang when teacher Cammie caught her teacher boyfriend cheating on her with another teacher!! What an asshole!!! But thankfully that happened because she meets Jenson! Local asshole of their town and turns his world upside down when she walks right into his rental he’s renovating and demands he rents to her. She needs this house and she won’t take no for an answer! Of course he’s an asshole to her but slowly she gets under his skin! And the rest is for you dear readers to find out on your own! I loved this book and I hope you do too!
Wow! Just wow! I absolutely loved Jensen & Cami’s explosive chemistry. I couldn’t read this book fast enough. Word for word amazing. This book almost set my Kindle on fire. If you haven’t read this book. It’s a must.
Wow! I totally loved this enemies-to-lovers romance told in dual POV.
Jensen, who owns Blake’s Construction and Blake Rentals and Cami a schoolteacher are like oil and water when they first meet. However there is more to meet the eye with these two then they both have bargained for. Once they start to really understand the other person….the chemistry was off the charts!
I found this to be a quick, steamy read. Loved Jensen and Cami, and the secondary characters, except Douglas, he is just a NO. My ex-husband is a Douglas…and he was a just NO as well.
I have been looking for a good enemies to lovers book and this one definitely fit the bill! Jensen has some demons from his past that has made him the biggest jerk in town along with the status of manwhore and dubbed “Sex Material.” So when Cami meets Jensen things did not go so well. Cami had just caught her boyfriend of 5 years kissing another woman, especially one she does not like, so she drops him like a hot potato. She packs up her stuff and moves in with her best friend who happens to live next door to a rental that is being renovated. With this being the next best step in her life, she rushes over to meet the landlord to make sure she was the next tenant in that space. Talk about explosive tension between these two. Cami is definitely not a pushover so with Jensen running his mouth she does not take his cr*p. But their sexual tension is off the charts hot. And as we go along in the story, you can’t help but fall for Jensen, he definitely had the dirty mouth, he was definitely an alpha and he actually is a good guy. I really enjoyed their story and I could not put this book down.
Loved this book, A book I will read again.
holy hotness!!! I have about 30 minutes worth of reading left in this book. I am loving it so much, I DON’T want to finish it!!
I really think ARC readers are paid off.
I don’t know if I follow the author’s rationale for H and h behavior. Okay, any of the characters’ behavior.
One)
The premise is the hero is so broken he has no use for anyone so he has sex without kissing and only on his terms. He’s so good at it, sex, that women randomly drive up for their fix.
How is he broken? He fell out of love with his old girlfriend who went off the rails and slept around then got pregnant. He took her back because he felt bad, but she knew he was really their for the kid. So-hoooo, she ends up OD’ing.
“Something she was fucking missing because of me, Cami. She needed medicine to make it through the day, because of me. That still screws with my head.”
********************
“I kept reassuring her throughout the day that I wasn’t going anywhere. That I would be there for her and Benny, but it wasn’t enough anymore. She knew my heart wasn’t in it.”
********************
“I failed him. I failed them both, Cami. That’s something I can’t forgive myself for. I’ve tried. I’ve tried so fucking hard.”
Oh, get over yourself.
Two)
The heroine’s live-in BF cheats on her with a fellow teacher. How lazy. The H is worried that people will think less of the heroine because her BF left her and got another woman pregnant. Hmm, really? I would think that people are going to think they are lowlife scumbags, but what do I know.
Three)
The h’s best friend knows the backstory, but can’t/won’t fill her in because it’s the H’s story to tell. You are her best friend. Where do your loyalties lie?zzzzzzz
And the sex is ouch-worthy.
I’m on a roll. Downhill.
Just picked this one up because it’s right up my alley. I love enemies-to-lovers and this cover is hella awesome. #oneclick
Jensen is know as “Sex material” around town. The guy that can make you forget your name with no strings attached sex. Cami is a school teacher. She has a cheating ex boyfriend that was doing her wrong right in their place of work. She ends up moving into the house next to her best friend. Jensen owns the property. These two are burning hot when they meet. Its enemies on sight but irresistible attraction. I liked this book and the drama made it a more interesting read.
Couldn’t put it down. The story is unlike i have read yet.
Love this author so much!
While I don’t expect a deep story line, a plot would be nice
I can never go wrong when picking up a VA book, and this is no different!
Ah, Jensen Blake. A surprise is what this one is. In the beginning he comes off as hard and uncaring, but he has many layers. Definitely sexy. Likes to make you think he’s an asshole to cover up what’s really there. I loved the angle of this one. Both Hero and heroine were at each other’s throats a lot, which made for an entertaining story. Watching them fight their attraction for each other while they both grew through their issues makes for a definite page turner. This book has some slow burn, but then there is definitely heat. Unpredictable twists and turns of different levels. Happily ever after that will make you swoon even after you close the book.
If you need you next head spinning, pulse pounding, blush inducing heart stopper look no further than Cami and Jensen. Cami cannot believe her absolute pill of an ex! She has given five years to that whelp and he decides to fling it up with the tart of the school?!?! Looking for refugee and start over she finds herself applying to rent for the towns’ Casanova. He’s a conceded and crass jerk that really gets her goat, but he also just so happens to be smoking obscenely hot and apparently gunning for her. Jensen opened himself up for being the perfect man once and it failed in oh so spectacular fashion. Now he leads a harsh and cold existence as both penance and protection. When Cami comes in and shakes up his world he sees the carefully constructed walls around him starting to crumble, but can he truly forgive himself and move on with someone whom could make him more than he his.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book
This book was so much fun to read!! Jensen and Cami have instant chemistry but it isn’t that simple with them. These two butt heads so many times but it’s fun to read. Jensen has a reputation and giving heart. He has some dark parts of him that he needs to heal from. Cami changes him and the way he sees himself. Cami had her heart broken and is trying to heal from it. She didn’t see Jensen coming and didn’t ever want another relationship. Spending time with Jensen, she sees a different side of him that others don’t. These two crack me up and the banter between them is classic. They fight over everything but make up in unbelievably ways. I must say I love Jensen’s name. Him and Cami are great together! I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down!! Incredibly written
