Jaxson Dane is harboring a secret. Not the fact that he’s a geeky comic book lover, or that he secretly draws his own comic, Bunny Fu Ninja Warrior. It’s not even classified information that he’s out and proud! His secret is the shame that he’s a twenty-three-year-old virgin.Jaxson isn’t waiting for marriage or even afraid of taking that step, he just hasn’t found the one guy who will accept all of … who will accept all of his adorkable qualities. Due to an unfortunate mishap with a self-pleasuring apparatus and his favorite appendage, Jaxson meets
Tyler Mason. The emerald-green-eyed nurse is a witness to the mortifying incident, leaving Jaxon both grateful and disappointed in their one-time meeting.
And then Tyler somehow shows up at Jaxon’s family dinner. The very dinner at which Jaxson’s hidden virginity is revealed to everyone, including the captivating nurse.
Even though he secretly found the ER situation hilarious, Tyler is also able to look past it to see Jaxson’s genuine nature and is drawn to the charming and hapless comic book artist. He’s tempted to pursue the inexperienced Jaxson, but a recent and life-altering decision puts a damper on his wants and desires. However, the more time they spent together, the more willing he is to take the risk of juggling his new commitments and winning Jaxon’s affections.
A large, insane, and meddlesome family, two prying co-workers, and a sexy nurse are all trying to give Jaxson a crash course in Sex Ed. Will he pass?
This book is filled with sarcastic humor, questionable language and laugh-out-loud moments. The author takes no responsibility in you soiling yourself in laughter. It also contains hot and steamy moments between men. Recommended for +18

This was an amazingly over-the-top story that was absolutely hilarious. I laughed out loud so many times. And since I listened to the audio book version, and like to listen when out taking walks, I received many strange looks.
But I have to be honest. I don’t know if I would appreciated all the craziness if I’d read it myself. However, when narrated by Michael Lesley it’s un-effing-believably fabulous.
Michael Lesley is more than just a narrator. He’s a voice actor and he’s bloody brilliant!
I loooved this book. And I laughed so hard! It’s the kind of humour that will have you second-hand embarrassed but make you snort-laugh at the same time. Jaxson’s family is the weirdest, most intrusive bunch of characters and they’ve no respect at all for personal boundaries. They’re priceless.
The humour might not be for everyone. But if the title of the book didn’t scare you away, you probably have a juvenile enough humour to appreciate all the sex jokes, dick jokes and general silliness that is this story. Just like me.
The first half of the book was the most fun if you ask me. There were immature jokes galore, and it was hands down awesome. The second part of the story wasn’t quite as funny, but still very charming. It was the part where Jaxson and Tyler became more involved. It was still a rom-com, no question, but the storyline turned more serious with the guys’ relationship evolving and Tyler’s family situation being addressed. Still, it was far from heavy, but it was farther between the lols.
All in all, this is a great story. Funny as heck. However, I wasn’t entirely sure how to rate it. Because there was this thing that kept bugging me. I get that there has to be some kind of drama. Some kind of plot or circumstance that has the potential to ruin the happily-ever-after for the protagonists. One of those things in Sex Ed was Tyler’s insistence he didn’t have time for a relationship. And it made me so annoyed. Apart from it being the most BS reason of all BS reasons ever, it has been over-used so many times. It’s like the go-to excuse authors choose when they can’t think of a credible reason for one of the characters to resist an attraction. Also, no real person has ever decided they’re too busy to fall in love because of too high work-load or some other personal commitment. Pure BS.
But in the end, despite that small annoyance, Sex Ed gets 5 stars from me. It’s just that delightful. And also, I can’t ever get enough of inappropriate jokes apparently.

I laughed so hard and so often throughout this book that I got a cramp in my side. Sex Ed by Z.B. Heller is one of those books that is comedy gold. This book is filled with outrageous and zany characters that find themselves in unbelievable yet believable circumstances that are drink-spitting funny. Jaxson Dane is a young man who is shy and geeky with one of the most loveable and crazy families out there. He also happens to be a virgin. Tyler Mason is a young man shouldering the responsibilities of fatherhood after a tragic accident leaves his nephew orphaned. And he also happens to fall in love with Jaxson. Together, these two young men manage to come together and fall in love, all the while stumbling forward into adulthood.
I adore everything about this book from the humor to the plot to the characterization of both the primary couple and the secondary characters. Jaxson and Tyler both have to figure out what being in a relationship means for them and where the boundaries and limits are. They stumble and fumble, but ultimately, they are perfect for each other. And even though Jaxson is a virgin, the sexual tension and build up to the “big event” is both hot and tender. One of my favorite scenes happens at the nightclub when Jaxson and Tyler are dancing together –their chemistry is undeniable and that scene just sizzled.
Michael Lesley narrated the audiobook and did a fantastic job. There is a lot of situational humor within this book, and it takes a skilled narrated to be able to not only perform those scenes, but also enhance them—which Michael did with his fantastic performance. He kept all the character voices unique yet consistent, and was able to do deadpanned comments to pure freak-out reactions deftly throughout the book. His narration of this book was phenomenal and I can’t express how much I enjoyed it.
I can’t recommend this book enough. It has a little bit of everything: coming-of-age, humor, family drama, sex, fluff, angst, and romance. Just don’t read or listen to this book while drinking anything, you might accidentally choke from laughing too hard, something that happened to me, but it was totally worth it.

Jaxon and Tyler meets under less than ideal circumstances when Jaxon winds up in the ER with a “toy” mishap. Tyler is the ER nurse. As the two wind up in each other’s lives, more hysterically crazy situations seem to find them. I can’t stress enough how insanely crass, zany, and off the cuff Jaxon’s family is: Anything goes, so forget your privacy and leave the word “embarrassing” at the front door!
Absolutely a charming and well-written story! Great feel-good read!
